I always use the same black eyeliner.
Same color, no, but I’m pretty brand-loyal. I don’t often stray from Urban Decay’s 24/7 glide-on eye pencils and MUFE’s Aqua Eyes.
I usually wear gel eyeliner in black, dark brown, and navy blue.
Although I probably own at two dozen eyeliners, unless I’m rocking my team colors (Green for Packers games or maize (ok, gold) & blue for University of Michigan), I tend to fall back on my two favs. Urban Decay Zero for lower lash line and Too Faced 3 Way Lining Tool drawn into a cat eye for upper.

Yep. I won’t venture anything past Maybelline dark browns for . . . some reason. (Maybe because most I personally know use that brand for eyeliners? xD)
I have over a dozen different pencils, several gel/cream liners, some cake liners, & and a few liquids that I keep in rotation (plus a few others of each medium that don’t get much use), but they’re all pretty much the same color-black. If by “same” you mean actual product, then no; however, if you mean color, then 99% of the time it is. Although I stick with the same color, the effect differs among products, and each one has a role depending on the look.
Depending on my mood, I alternate between three: for a black pencil, Urban Decay Perversion; for a brown pencil, Urban Decay Demolition; for a liquid liner, Lancome Artliner. I’m super boring!
You know, I have a bunch of (really awesome) Sephora eyeliners but I do tend to use the same one over and over. However, I just got a new job and will actually have time to do my makeup so I might change it up!
I’ve been in an eyeliner rut lately. I have been alternating between black, super-dark brown, and merely dark brown. Sometimes a purple slips in there.
Pretty much. I hardly ever stray from using black on the upper lashline and tightline with a nude on the waterline. Now, I definitely switch between liquid, gel, pencil, and powder, but that’s about as much as my liner picks vary, lol.
Over the past year my collection has exploded with brands. So I kinda have to change it up though I have some definite favs like Tarina Tarantino, Tarte, lorac, UD and Pixi. Pixi’s Endless Silky liners are ahmazing quality and price!
Change it up, all the time. I tend to rotate between black, dark brown, charcoal, bronze and purple most often but a good emerald green or teal can look amazing!
I also almost always wear different shades on my upper and lower lash lines too, eg, black with brights, charcoal and plum, bronze and gold…
I do – Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze. I find black makes me look too “done”, though I do use it sometimes.
I use grey eyeliner, in kohl form.. Stila’s at the moment, but any grey I’ll take it! 😀
Not really, I have so many liquid, gel, pencil, waterproof, long wearing etc. That I always find a different time to use them all. Oddly, I never buy new ones all mine are old or from beauty sets/beauty boxes!
I always without fail use my Bourjois Liner Pinceau in black.

Oh heck yes! Usually a brown/copper/bronze shade on the bottom, and anything goes on top.
Also, I just did a count and I have 65!! Not counting back-ups. Eyelineraholics, anyone??
I’ve only been using eyeliner for a couple years now. Black is too harsh for my coloring and age, but I love greens, purples and browns. Urban Decay 24/7’s are my favorite. Rockstar, Stash and Whiskey are my go-to’s.
I almost never use the same eyeliner two days in a row. I have that urban decay eyeliner vault and just like going through all of them. And that’s only just the urban decay ones
I’m always using black on the waterline, but I change between black, purple and green above the lash line. Currently, the black one is maybelline colossal kajal (I just realized this one is sold here in Brazil only) and the color ones are usually Urban Decay 24/7 (but I’m using a MAC pencil today). If I want something bolder, I use a Stila pen eyeliner.
I switch up colors from time to time but I gravitate towards the same blue, green and purple liners. My all time favorite is MAC Auto de Blue. That was the first liner I used up since I’ve become obsessed with makeup
Black looks really terrible on me (super pale, light hair) so I use either UD Rockstar, Stash, TT Cute Robot, or Puppeteer on my top lash line and UD Underground along my lower lash line. I want to find dupes from Sephora or NYX though because I go through eyeliner so fast that the brands I’m using now just aren’t affordable.
I usually use the same two or three because they’re the one I like most.
I don’t wear eyeliner on a day to day basis except for a nude shade in my waterline – and I typically do use the same liner (at least for a few months until I feel like changing it up).
I’m an eyeliner fiend! I have over 40 different colours from about a dozen brands. I love to play with them and I vary them with every look.
Quality-wise, IMO the Sephora waterproof pencils beat every other pencil out there (including UD).
Yes, even though I have several in different colors and formulations, I tend to use MAC Engraved every single day, no matter the eye look.
I use a complimentary shade to my eye shadow. If I’m wearing cool colors, I will use a purple or gray or peacock eyeliner. For warm, I will use a bronze or copper liner. Lately I’ve found that it’s much better for me to skip the liner above my lashes and just use it to tightline on the upper lash line. It’s kinder to my aging, drooping eyelids.
I love having as many choices as possible when it comes to eyeliner – if you forced me to pare it down to ‘the basic neutrals’ I’d still have to have a black, a brown, a navy, and a gunmetal.
…and if you patted me down, you’d probably find the turquoise, silver and electric purple ones too… 😉
Urban Decay Perversion is the only black eyeliner I use regularly. Other than that, I use whatever eyeliner goes with my look.
i dont wear eye liner. i’ve tried drugstore and department (gel,pencil, cream, powder, liquid) store brands in dark brown which i think is more flattering than black but none of them manage to stick around. i would like to try the blinc brand though since i love there mascara
I have over 100 eyeliners and I try to rotate through them as much as possible! I have a few favorites (Stila Stay All Day liquid liner in black and moss and UD Mushroom), but I love all my awesome colors! Tarte, UD, BareMinerals, Sephora, Ulta, Avon… so many!
Yeah, I use one eyeliner for two reasons:
1. I can’t usually afford to buy more than one item at a time, and eyeliner doesn’t excite me as much as other stuff (strange because if you ask me the “stranded on an island” question, I’d definitely pick eyeliner)
2. I almost always use eyeshadow as eyeliner. I discovered this a year and a half ago or so, and now I use actual eyeliner maybe once a week, sometimes less. Even so, I usually use black!
I do tend to use MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack practically every day on my upper lashline and a dab on the lower lashline, which I usually blend with a little eyeshadow of the color I’m wearing that day 🙂
I always use black eyeliner, I switch formulas. I use MAC blacktrack fluidline, Milani Eye Tech extreme liquid liner in blackest black, and MAC ProLongwear eyeliner pencil in Black Ice.
MAC Dipdown Fluidline all day erry day lol. I have a two Technakohl pencils (Graphblack and Photogravure) that I travel with and will sometimes use when I am feeling lazy.
After being in a black eyeliner only phase for years (mostly due to ease and having an abundant supply from GWPs), I recently threw caution and my wallet to the wind and now have lots of colors. I still tend to grab shades that lean a little neutral, like blackened plums or taupey grays, but I’m trying to mix things up. A very unexpected favorite is Intense Aubergine from Clinique’s Quickliner for Eyes Intense formula.
On my top lash line, yes. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner all the way. I typically don’t wear a dedicated eyeliner along the lower lash line…I generally just brush on some eyeshadow with a pencil brush (the same color I wear in the crease, usually).
Almost always. On my upper lids, I use Rich Ground fluidline which reads as a neutral on me so it makes my lashes look thicker and my eyes look bluer. Black or colored eyeliners tend to look too harsh for daily wear so I only wear them for evening looks when I’m going out. I find that using a neutral eyeliner means I can be more adventurous with my eye shadow without it looking too garish.
I can’t go without wearing eyeliner any day…I feel like it really helps bring out my eyes. I always wear black (although in a pinch, I’ll wear a dark grey). That said, I have maybe 3 liners I switch between — an automatic pencil, a regular pencil, and a liquid liner. I always buy the same ones of each of these, so I guess I’m pretty boring.
My eyes seem to disintegrate any eyeliner that goes on them, so I need to be loyal to the ones that work the best for me!
I rotate between Urban Decay eyeliners. Typically a black or brown on top and sometimes nude, purple, or silver on the bottom. My three top ones are Perversion, Demolition, and Yeyo. I am going to purchase another turquiose/teal one soon. I tend to wear more colors in the Spring and Summer.

i don’t use the same one…there are too many to choose from. i have been loving l’oreal’s gel eyeliner (in the pot) on my water line though. in the winter, i have been sticking mostly to black and navy, but once summer hits, the colors will probably be making more appearances.

I pretty much use the same one all the time which is the Clinique Cream eyeliner either black or brown. I’ve tried to be more adventurous with them. Got some colors but so far still reaching for the same one.
I have a rainbow of liners. I have at least a dozen bright Urban Decay 24/7 shades, a few really good MAC kohl promos (like Raven and Mystery), and a couple of Illamasqua shades I just got (they flake like crazy and will not repurchase liquid liner from them in the future). My very favorite formula is MAC fluidline. I currently have Macroviolet, Deliciously Rich, and Blacktrack. Blacktrack wins for me, though. I switch liners up just about everyday, but Blacktrack is used much more than any other singular liner.
Yes and I think it’s good if you can stick to one brand that is best for you.
I ALWAYS use my Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion, even if I use another eyeliner; I use Perversion to add strenght to my eyes. However, I love bright colors, or sparkly liners (MAC Pearglide, for example, in Undercurrent, Designer Purple or Industrial). I also like Urban Decay’s Shadow Pencil in Morphine to draw a thick line, and just tightline with Perversion.
I love eyeliner and eye make up in general. I seldom wear the same liner two days in a row. The one exception is LSD by UD. I use it for my lower lsash liner and just love it. Although I don’t use it all the time, I do use it more often. I splurged on UD’s Vault when it first came out so I have plenty of choices. I wish I could have afforded the entire eye shadow collection too but had to pass.
I always wear eyeliner. Usually it is UD 24/7 for me one the waterline. Only recently I’ve grown adventurous and tried Rimmel in the nude and black because of irritation and also nothing stays for long. On the lid I’ll try almost anything and frequently wear shadow as a liner.
I very rarely buy the same brand of eyeliner twice and I switch between kohl, gel and liquid regularly, but I almost always wear the same shade – black!
i SWEAR BY revlon colorstay eyeliner in black, it’s an automatic pencil and it seems to be the only eyeliner that doesnt irritate my eyes, plus it doesn’t run and goes on dark dark dark. Sometimes i’ll switch it up and wear MAC or Tarte colored pencils..
it’s weird that even allergy-free eyeliner makes my eyes water 98% of the time. Does that happen to anyone else?
I change up the color on the lower lid according to whatever eyeshadow shade I’m wearing, but 99.9% of the time, I use Illamasqua’s Eyeliner Cake (in black) on the upper lid. I’ll vary the line width, depending on the look I’m going for, but it’s always the same eyeliner. 🙂
Yeah, you definitely seem like you can’t commit! Haha. That’s exactly what I really like about a lot of your eye looks – your eyeliner is usually a contrast or pop or color! It’s tasteful and fun. Eyeliner is my favorite way of adding color to an eye look too – I definitely can’t commit either. And I like a few specific brands but I’m not always even brand loyal! If it’s a bright color and it stays put, I’m on board!
Yes and no. I change up the color I use on my lash line, but I use the same eyeliner to tightline every day. For tightlining I’m absolutely loyal to Smashbox Limitless liquid liner because I have watery eyes and it stays all day without budging since it’s waterproof. I tried pencil and gel, but nothing has worked as well as liquid liner to tightline with.
I am committed to Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner in caviar black. I loooove that for black wings and anytime I want a black line that goes on top of everything – but, I love colored liner and use many other colors. I also have a bareminerals black liner that is perfect for the waterline and for smudging under smokey eyes.
I stay brand specific – Motives – but I change it up between the gel, the waterproof eye pencils (black or brown) and the kohl green eyeliner.
I have an addiction to eyeliners (as well as shadows and foundations). I have quite a variety of UD 24/7 pencil liners, a MAC Feline Kohl, and a Fluid line in Black track. Sometimes I have colorful moods, sometimes neutral, but I almost always use a darker shade on the upper lid. I just realized today though that I do not have a navy liner, which would complement some of my cool toned looks.
Yes! I have a bazillion eyeliners, but as a woman of color (mocha brown) with sleepy, bedroom eyes I gravitate toward BLACK liners. I have cups full of gel, soft, pencil, waterproof, shiny, matte varieties. If it’s a non full face makeup day, I still put on liner because when I don’t…peope ask me if I feel ok!
There’s something about a true black liner (Inglot 77 & MUFE Aqua Black in pot) that just makes sense on my face. Wearing brown just seems a waste of time and the sublty is lost in the look. Wearing blue works if it’s royal and can stand OUT against my brown skin. Purple is the same way, as long as I can see it, I’ll wear it with a tiny line of black close to my lashes to polish it off.
I could wax on all day about black eyeliner and cat eye vs non cat eye…..LOL

I switch it up, but always tight-line with 4 different black pencils. I use a black liner on top of my lip 90% of the time. You can count on it’s almost always Physician’s Formula Lash Booster liner in ultra black. I always play around with my lower lash line and sometimes my waterline.
