What’s your “special occasion” look consist of? What products? Do you always change it?

I tend to go for a fairly neutral look, actually! I spend a lot of time on “perfecting” the skin 🙂

I don’t have a special occasion look, but I tend to do more extravagant makeup, like a bold red lip or a really dark smoky eye…I can also imagine wearing some extraordinary false lashes like the feather ones from shu uemura.

I try to do the easiest neutral eye makeup…i m always scared i may mess my eye makeup on some ‘special occassion’. I tend to concentrate on more “cheek glow”…like try to look “natural”” beautiful””glowing”…:)

I think I take about 2x as long with face makeup when I’m forming a look for special occasions. Cheeks are serious business and when you look radiant without any eye or lip makeup, it’s a lot easier to tie the look together.(I work as an artist as well as wear the stuff myself)

My favorite thing to do right now for special occasions is to layer a bit of Strobe Liquid under foundation, on the tops of the cheek bones and then adding sheer blushes at the end to give that glowing effect. 😀

I don’t tend to have one set look that I do for a special occasion, as it normally depends what I’m wearing. I might wear red lipstick and neutral coloured eyeshadow for red or classic dresses or bold eyes/more natural lipstick for other clothes. I do always like to have black liquid eyeliner with a cat’s flick for special occasions, though – makes me feel glam :o) . I also tend to take longer doing my make-up for special occasions, just to make sure that everything is applied nicely and blended well.

It all depends on where we’re going and what I’m wearing, but it def includes false lashes and lots of lipgloss! The eye makeup,(color and application), changes, but never the fierceness.

I usually do a 50s/60s variation. Flawless as I can make it foundation with contour and light glowy blush, light (white or cream) eyeshadow with just the barest hint of crease, black eye liner with false eyelashes, and a bold lip, usually red,

I like to do a nice smokey eye with browns and taupes as opposed to black because I think the black is too harsh on me, also I either do a sparkly pink gloss or benetint lip balm. I like to make my skin glow, so I use Nars copacabana on my cheekbones and temples. Very pretty 🙂

I concentrate on my eyes and making the face “glow”. I would do a wild smoky eye with dark cranberry colors (because they make my green eyes POP out) and definitely false eye lashes. Then I break out my Mac mineralized skin finish in “SHIMPAGNE” I’m so pissed they don’t make it anymore. Then I finish it off with some contouring and a very nude lip. And to top it all of I will do an extra volume hair (this is when I break out my clip in hair extensions) so basically I look like a porn star. LOL – I don’t care I love that look and whenever I get a chance to wear it, I wear it.

Depending on the special occassion.

Fun stuff with friends (birthday, housewarming party, etc) I go for a smokey eye and neutral lip. Work, family, or school related special occassion I go for neutral all around and, like you, focus on getting very photographable flawless skin!

It depends on the occasion – sometimes it will be red lips with neutral eyes & glowing skin, sometimes a smokey neutral JLo bronzey look, or dark smokey eyes & pale lips. If I have ample time to get ready I usually play up my eyes but if time is short I go for bold lips.

Usually I go for the neutral look. Or a smokey brown eye. I go for the glowing skin, which is why I use Benefit High Beam/Moon Beam atop my moisturizer and under my foundation. I sweep on a skinshimmer atop that.

I did a look with All That Glitters, Sable, and Saturnal today. With Vanilla and Kid for the highlight. Copper eyeliner on upper lash line and plushlash. Glowy cheeks, and pale pink lips.

I actually grabbed the wrong thing out of my drawer, instead of my Bare Essencials foundation, I grabbed the B.E Well Rested, and thinking ‘Why Not’ I tried that atop for my foundation and a skinfinish on that and it looked awesome! It let my Just a Pinch show through on my cheeks and it looked really nice.

That sounds SO pretty! I LOVE Sable. Its my HG bronze shadow. For bronze smokey eyes, I like Bare Canvas paint as an all-over base, Shroom all over, Sable on the lid, Nylon on the inner lid, with Swiss Chocolate and Brun on the outer lid and crease. Black smudgy liner on the lop and bottom with Sable over the liner on the bottom lashline, Mascara X, Well Dressed blush, and Sweetie lipstick – I think you would LOVE this and look gorg in it!
Happy makeuping!

I dont have a go to look for special occasions. I love a classic red lip but I’m more apt to do a bold colorful eye. I guess whatever I can get away with. I’ve been reaching for my Too Dolly palette more often though for nights out.

hi Avatar

For a cocktail party i went to in January, I did a glossy red lip and smokey brown eyes. Because spring is more fresh, for Easter I had a copper/neutral slightly smokey but subtle eye with brown liner, shimmering pink cheeks and matte red-stained lips. If I’m going SUPER dramatic, I’ll go with subtle shimmery pink cheeks, a silver/black smokey eye, and plain ol’ lip balm.

I really focus on making my skin look as flawless as possible first, then I do a really radiant glowy cheek by layering a cream blush, set with powder, then blusher and highlighter (the Dior Skin Shimmers are my favorite for this although Stila Luminizing Liquid is also awesome).
Then I might do a gold eye/black liner/red lip combination or a smokey brown eye with pink lips.

I’m all about bold, creamy (not shiny) lips. I recently fell in love with British Red from L’Oreal – it’s the perfect orange-y red for me 🙂
With bright lips I just go with a neutral eye and matte skin and I’m set!

Usually for special occasions I like to do dramatic and smokey eyes, maybe false lashes. I tend to do the colors depending on what I’m wearing. I do the whole face including contouring, highlight and all of the works. (:
