natural look on the eye and my HG lipstick Chanel Infrarouge nr 17 Gypsy.
i love drawing attention to my eyes so that’s where most of the focus will be, whether it be a dark or colourful look. 🙂 i like to keep the rest of my face simple although i do sometimes add a bit of blush or bronzer depending on my mood. 😀 with lips, i tend to stick to just lip balm to give that soft shiny look or pop some sheer, light nude/pink lipgloss.
for a special occasion I spend a lot more time on my concealer/foundation/powder and do a bit of sculpting/highlighting, depending on the time of day.
Then I go for it with my eyeshadow and make sure my lashes look lush.
Generally I go for a smokey eye and either red or neutral lipstick – no gloss. It’s simple, elegant and makes my eyes look great 🙂
the classic smokey eye with nude lips
I loooove getting all pretty for a special occasion!!! I usually tend to spend a little mor time on EVERYTHING and really try to make it special…then i focus on the eyes. Usually I will do a smokey eye, sometimes with a pop of color to go with my outfit!! And just balm or nude lipstick..nothing too shiny.
Silver smokey eye w/ Blankety l/s.
I usually do a silver smoky eye with sharkskin shadestick with electra and print eyeshadows, and a nude lip. I also spend more time perfecting my foundation.
I don’t have a special occasion look. but I like to focus on my eyes.
I’ll usually spend a lot of time making sure my skin looks perfect and will be extra careful when doing brows and highlighting. I really think those are essential for a polished look. On all the rest, I just go crazy. 🙂
i do foundation and contour, that’s my special look lol! pictures will be taken, so i need flawless skin.
It completely depends on the outfit!!! But I have 3 fav looks.
Smoky Eye with my palette from a few xmas’s ago, with Viva Glam II or V on the lips.
Pinup makeup with Shroom and French Grey on the eyes with winged out liner and Russian Red lips.
Color color color–something very bright with at least one of the colors on the eye matching my outfit and a contrasting bright lip.
I always spend more time on my brows, contouring, make sure to wear at least one pair of lashes if not 2 or 3!
It’s hard though because every day I work I do special occasion makeup although on Sundays I often do a softer beauty look. I’m so used to glaming it up for work that I tend to run out of ideas. I usually keep going until it’s borderline dragalicious!!! lol
Silver and black smokey eye usually. Or if I’m wearing a brightly coloured top I’ll do quite a dramatic eye in that colour.
I line my eyes so they’re really dramatic with KATE gel eyeliner (my fave), then blend a shimmery pink shadow with ultra creamy black liner to make a grey shadow, add a hint of purple and green, blend, curl my lashes and add mascara. Sometimes I mix around the colours and make it more colourful, morer
Maybe a bit more blush than usual, but nothing too dramatic.
Clear gloss, or a glossy lip balm for less formail occasions, if its a little bit snobby and posh I might try a coral lippie or just a boring old pink one.
Yeah, thats about it.
My special occasion look is usually a more intense version of what I wear during the day (extra smoky eyes & liner) and for special occasions I will put on a subtle shimmer powder after my foundation to give my face a luminous glow.
Usually a thick line of black eyeliner on the top lash line and then I use a shimmery pink gold color on lids and lower lash line with a little bit of benefit’s Rush Hour lipstick (its the perfect pink purple for my tones). Depending where I’m going sometimes I’ll just do thick black eyeliner and then another thick line of silver right above the black on the lid and cat eye the silver.
I guess it all depends on the occasion, but one combo that’s simple, girly but not OTT is Hoppin’ (from Heatherette trio 1) all over lid, Solar White in inner 3rd, Illegal Cargo in outer V with Parfait Amour just very lightly in the crease.
Oh! And I use Modest Tone as my browbone highlight – it’s my favourite coz it’s not too shimmery, some days I just use it alone if I’m too lazy to do proper eye makeup. LOL
