I went on a small haul at Ulta last week.

I got a few China Glaze nail polishes, Too Faced Lash Injection Antidote [amazing make up remover], Two NYX jumbo eye pencils, one NYX gloss, and I randomly picked up a bottle of Japonesque brush cleaner; it was standing alone on the clearance shelf ~~~ INCREDIBLE!

Let’s see my last haul I got another Renee Rouleau cleanser the AHA/BHA one (btw I love it!!!), some products from Lush which are really nice and I love those too, 2 cremesheen lippies in Speed Dial and Creme Cup, 2 cremesheen glosses in Creme Anglaise and Fashion Scoop (these are really nice, I hope these become perm in the future!) and yeah that was about it I spoiled myself *again* ugh I need to stop spending!! >.<

It will be a thank you for booking my “cousin to be” for her engagement pictures and wedding day.

No, I don’t work for MAC. Although I wish I did! I’m completely the opposite, working in IT. Anyways, I found someone on Ebay who had it all up for sale in one listing. I think she must work in the cosmetics industry though because she had a lot of huge lots of NARS, Smashbox, MAC and Chanel. In any case, Sugarsweet is less than a month away! 🙂

I bought Lancome Voluminous mascara yesterday after reading that Kimora uses it. They had a “carbon black” promotion, so I got that one. It IS volumizing, but I noticed a little flaking, so the jury s still out!

Hmm.. I bought Engraved Powerpoint Eye Pencil from MAC after returning Grenadine Slimshine – it was SUPPOSED to be raspberry red, but it turned up fuschia on me.

i got the MAC HK pinkfish,(i think i might goback and get popster too)., the studio sculpt foundation and conceler, the 190 brush, blacktract fluidline, plushlash mascara.
i also got 3 OPI nailpolishes in hawaiian orchid, bright lights big color, and significant other color.
im still waiting fo my mac store to get the fashion mews lippie and fast friends l/g- they were all out!

MAC Studio Sculpt. I’m actually new to MAC, so I didn’t realized that it was one of their newest products. I’m kinda also a newbie to foundation. I’ve tried Maybelline, but they were too pink! I tried Estee Lauder, but that formulation was for mature ladies with drier skin (hence, it was smooth on application, but oily mid-day). I wanted to try MAC because of their variery of shades (I was hoping to find one that matched, and it did). I’m still not sure of it. For oily skin, I found it to be a little dry (I kinda had to pull on my skin for even coverage). Any tips? Please help!

Hi Grace,
Yes, the Studio Sculpt does have a thicker consistency since it is gel-based. I find that applying with a brush helps (I use the MAC 109, but you can get something else that is similar if you prefer). I place a bit of foundation on the back of my hand and use the brush to stipple it onto my skin, covering small areas at a time.. and then I buff it for a more even and smoother application.
If you still find it difficult, you can apply a bit of your moisturizer and mix it with the Studio Sculpt to make it a bit more “liquid” (so to speak), and to help with easier application.

Hey Grace,
How much coverage do you need? I have oily skin too, and I’ve found that the best look for my skin in spot touches with concealer (just on blemishes/undereye discoloration), and pressed powder. Lancome Photogenique concealer (in the pot, not tube) is awesome on pimples, and they have really great shades. I also find many skin products too pink for my complexion (I have heavy yellow undertones) and their Light Buff shade is perfect for me. I LOVE MAC Studio Fix pressed powder, because it’s very good coverage, but it’s dry and soaks up the oil. Also, blotting with rice paper every few hours works wonders 🙂

Earlier today after work, I had to stop @ Mac to get me another compact blot powder in medium. I had dropped it on the tile floor at work earlier this morning & it had shattered. It was almost new!! And to top it off, the powder that broke had also been purchased a week or so ago for the same reason!!! I swear, I go through these blot powders like nothing because I’m so clumsy with them. That’s also the only m/u that I seem to drop and break… 🙁
But, to cheer myself up, I did buy while I was there 3 paints: Bamboom, Sublime Nature, and Untitled.
