Temptalia Asks You - What body products do you use regularly?
What body products do you use regularly? Do you have a favorite body cream/lotion? A fan of sunless tanner? What makes your body bangin’?
I think I have a zillion and one body creams/lotions in my cabinets, so I just pull them out at random. I use Lush’s shower gel or Philosophy’s shower gel. I have to say… the body doesn’t get much else, LOL.
I’m obsessed with cocoa butter lotion. I bought this huge bottle at Walmart for 2 dollars and it keeps my skin super moisturized. I have bumps on my arms and the lotion has really maintained them and kept them soft.
Don’t you love cheap finds that work? Awesome!
My mom has a pharmacy, so I usually get to try every new beauty product. I just point and pick. lol This means that I have a cabinet full of bottles of body lotions, bath gels and anti-cellulite treatments.
But I’m pretty lazy on body care (the face gets it all). I stick to a good old Dove soap bar, a strong moisturizing lotion (Roche-Posay or Vichy) for dry skin and a esfoliating lotion (Galenic) every once in a while.
Ohh, lucky you, Carolina! What are some of your favorites? I find I can’t use soap bars, because I hate that feeling they give you where you can’t really rub your skin.
I don’t really have favourite products for the body. I use whatever is available AKA whatever is the latest product that my mom gave me to try.
I’m now using, and would reccomend, La Roche-Posay’s body milk Iso-Urea for very dry, flaky, rough skin. It is very smooth in consistency, you only need a little bit to cover a whole leg, and it doesn’t leave that «greasy» feel.
Unfortunately, from what I understand from the site, only face products are available State-side.
Yeah, I find that I have an assortment of body products, but not too many I couldn’t live without.
Lush gels, Tigi shampoos and Apivita body milk. And for facial care, Lush’s Angels on bareskin and fresh pharmacy, and Chanel’s Hidramax+
Looks like you know exactly what your skin loves and wants!
I SWEAR by my Villainess scrubs (do not go to Villainess.com, it’s a porn site!), they keep me sooo ridiculously soft.
I use soap by Villainess, Wylde Ivy, Silk Road Trading Company, or Black Phoenix Trading Post. Aaaand lotions by Villainess or Lathers & Lights.
Where can I find these products? Thanks for the heads up, I probably would have gone to that site!
Moisturiser – Nivea Soft, i’ve never found anything to beat it!
Cleanser & Toner – Body Shop Aloe Vera
Body moisturiser – Boots Bontanics(because it makes my skin super soft) and Body Shop Strawberry puree(because it smells gorgeous)
Shower gel – Dove silk or Body Shop Pink Grapefruit ( can you tell i heart the body shop much? :P)
Face wash- Nivea visage young ( probably aimed at teenagers rather than 21 y/o’s but this stuff is AMAZING.
Exfoliator – Nivea visage young – again AMAZING, makes my skin super soft.
Pfft, i must ‘waste’ so much money on the above!!
I’ll definitely look into Niva Soft 🙂
Great list!
I use Nivea night renewal cream on my hands and feet- super cheap and super effective. I tried using cocoa butter but it was too heavy for me. I also use the body shop’s cranberry scented bath items and body butter, but I’m planning on going down to Sephora and try some Philosophy products! I really need to pamper my body more- not just my face!
Lots of Nivea products being recommended around here 🙂 I feel you on the last bit, my body is neglected compared to my face!
Right now Im a huge fan of Victoria’s Secret perfumes body wash & lotion.
And cocoa butter is always been a favorite. I love to use it in place of shaving gel for my legs!
I went to the post-Christmas sale at Bath & Body Works and their True Blue Spa line was on sale buy 2 get 2 free. So I thought I’d try out some products. I’m absolutely loving their “Grin & Bare It” body lotion. It has a soft clean scent to it and is just thin enough that it soaks in and thick enough that it puts moisture back into my winter skin. I live two hours north of the Indiana border in Michigan and all the forced-air heating 24-7 is killer on my skin.
Oh, what an awesome sale you hit! I’m glad they worked out for you, too, Kelly!
I love dove skin cool moisture bar it smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling nourished. On my face I use Cetaphill. It cleans your face without drying. Both are cheep but amazing products.
I love Cetaphil 🙂 It’s a great starter product for any skincare regimen, especially for finicky skin.
I just love the lush showergel snowfairy! also i use my juicy couture sugar scrub, a st. barth body firming gel, the juicy couture body cream, and lushs fare trade foot lotion for my feet. i just love these products, and they belong to my every-bath programm 😉
Ohh, Snow Fairy! I’ve heard many good things about that one.
I can’t vouch that all the listed products are vegan or animal friendly…I have yet to weed through all my body products yet to get rid of the offenders. Its on my to-do list in the next week or so.
I adore Catwalk and Bedhead hair products.
Despite the fact that I rather dislike Victoria’s Secret, I was given some of their bath and body products and OMG are they nice.
Anything from Lush, but I can’t live without their massage bars and usually will rub myself down with one of those after a bath.
I LOVE Jason’s liquid soaps and use those in the shower.
I would say that I mostly use Lush products and consider them worth every penny.
Hey Tanya! How was your weekend?
Do you only use vegan products, or do they just have to be animal-friendly?
I’m so glad that there is another massage bar fan around these parts!
I really like Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula. Cheap, very moisturizing, nice scent… not overpowering. I also like Dave’s Famous Self Tanner when I want to self-tan.
It’s great when you can find a cheap product that WORKS!
LOL, there’s a restaurant called Famous Dave’s (BBQ place), and I read that backwards and now I am craving ribs!
When temperature goes way under certain level, unfortunately nothing seems to work.My skin is senstive and still not used to handle such low temperatures.
And what I adore is one thing and what works is another one.
So Eucerine- skin moisturizer for body works very well, does not have any particular scent.
The rest so far does not work, but it smels great LOL
That really sucks, Madeleine! I’m glad that Eucerin seems to work for you, even if it doesn’t have the right smell for you!
I use a lot of Bliss body butters because they make my skin feel so good…and they smell so good! I also always have body scrubs in the shower that I use every other day to exfoliate. I change products as soon as I finish something just to give my skin a jolt.
Right now I’m using Soap & Glory’s Scrub of Your Life (every other day), Soap & Glory’s Clean On Me (bath gel), and Soap & Glory’s Body Cream. I got them all at Target…man do they smell good and they really work. They are made by the same people that make Boots products.
Other brands I’ve tried and liked: Lush, Bath & Body Works, Korres, Neutrogena, Body Shop, Laura Mercier, Philosophy, Kiehl’s, Boots, and L’Occitane. Haven’t really found any brands that I don’t like.
Soap & Glory is amazing.. but they arent made by ‘BOOTS’… They are made by the same woman who makes Bliss products [even better!]
OMG Becky you’re right…I meant to write Bliss. Long night last night partying…LOL.
Hey Shefali! I think I might need to try some Soap & Glory in my future.
I really love Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion. The smell is so delicious and it keeps my skin really soft and smooth. And because I have sensitive skin on my arms, it’s really the only loton that doesn’t give me any rashes. I also like Neutrogena Rain Bath. For soaps I love Dove and Ivory Lavender.
You’re the second to say this, Janis! It’s great to see drugstore products get some love.
i find myself always using bath and body works pecan passion 3-in-one (which they keep taking away and bringing back…i’m always terrified itll be gone for good!). i also obsessively spray on victorias secrets beauty rush spray in piece of cake (i think). it smells so freaking amazingly like i am a cake that just came out of the oven…i’m addicted to it
lol its not called piece of cake- its called slive of heaven. perfect description!
*slice
i’m having verbal diarrhea today lol
Sounds yummy, Sara!!
I love Lush products especially Flying Fox Shower Gel and Dream Cream!
I love the Jingle Jelly shower gel-thing, lol.
I’ve stuck to Clairol’s Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner for nearly 2 years now – the only ones to tame my hair relatively, and not make it greasy!
I love Herbal Essences 🙂 I’m actually trying out part of their new line for long hair!
Here are my current favorites:
Shower gels: The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit/Passion Fruit, Crabtree and Evelyn Rosewater Shower Gel, LUSH Almond and Coconut/Olive
Lotion: LUSH Dream Cream/Sympathy for Skin, TBS Spa Wisdom/ Lavender/Pink Grapefruit, Crabtree and Evelyn Evelyn Rose Body Cream
Scrub: Crabtree and Evelyn Mint and Fennel Body Polisher, The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit/Passion Fruit/Olive
Other stuff: The Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion/Gel, Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy/Rosewater Hand and Body lotion
Obviously I like layering products 🙂

Wow! What a good list, Tonee! You are always adding things to my long list of stuff to “check out.”
I don’t think I have anything from TBS, but I guess I should correct that.
I love LUSH and TBS products 🙂 I haven’t had a chance to try out any new products because I want to use up all the stuff I have at the moment.
TBS has a couple of bath products called Scent-me – into which you can add a perfume oil of your choice and create your own shower gel and lotion. I really want to try this because I have a huge collection of TBS perfume oils but I am going to wait until I really need a batch of bath products!
See…I’m being a good little girl this year…so far 😉
OH, that sounds AWESOME! I love that idea… the Scent-me products are definitely “calling” to me.
Yes The Body Shop is awesome. The scent-me product is awesome. You can create your own scents, but also it is great for people with sensitive skin. I use it on my daughters and for clients who can not tolerate certain scents or products line because they have sensitive skin.
I am a Body Shop at Home consultant we are always having special promotions and deals who need pampering at a fraction of the price.
Take care and I will be sure to share with the Body Shop at Home Team there are people who love the Body Shop products. Kudos to you Christine for having such a forum.

I love this eyeshadow. It’s by Clarins. Not sure what it’s called, though. I use the goldy kinda colour most, though. :D:)
