1.) Practice makes perfect — you learn so much through practice, not to mention you *do* improve over time as well. 2.) Brushes make a difference, quality brushes make an even bigger one. 3.) Don’t let rules confine you–play around, experiment, find what YOU like. 4.) Take photos–the closer the better–so you can really see where you need to improve (if anywhere!). 5.) Always have fun.

less is more. don’t overdo your makeup!
Could not agree more!! I would add: confidence is your most important accessory.
Where makeup is concerned,
1) Cost does not equal quality.
2) Less is more.
3) Advertising is about hype, not substance.
4) If a product actually has the theraputic effects as claimed by advertisers, it would have been screened by the FDA, and would most likely not be sold as a cosmetic.*
5) It is a celebration of my beauty and vanity, so it is my choice whether to wear it or not!
* Cosmetic products and ingredients are not subject to FDA premarket approval authority, with the exception of color additives.
Rule #1: there’s no rule
2/ never go to bed with your makeup on or you’ll go to (skin-)hell.
3/ find good skincare products, you don’t want to apply nice makeup over crappy skin
4/ brushes really do make a difference
5/ foundation, concealer and eyeshadow primer will make a huge difference, too, so if you need to invest in something, it’s there. Then even the cheapest eyeshadows will work.
be daring some times at the endoftheday itsonlymakeup you can take it off! use colours if you just stick to neturals or smokey eyes etc
1) You don’t need to buy expensive brands- cheap ones do just as well
2) Always wash your face- even if you aren’t wearing makeup that day
3) Less is more, especially when it comes to foundation. Cakey foundation is GROSS
4) Try things before you buy. Tons of stores give out samples, so you don’t have to commit without trying it out first.
5) Moisturize every night, even if you have oily skin
1) lways moisturize
2) practice liquid liner as much as possible
3) there are no rules, just as long as it’s all done well.
4) darker lipliner isnt always bad
5)have fun
1/ Never go to bed without removing your makeup and don’t forget to moisturize your skin everyday, even you have an oily skin. A strict skincare routine will provide you the best canvas to work on with.
2/ As long as it looks good, there’s no rules, so have fun!
3/ Good quality brushes make a HUGE difference.
4/ Practice, practice, practice! Like Koren from Enkore Makeup would say “the more you do it, the more you get used to it”.
1. practice makes perfect
2. good base products (primers) make everything else apply and wear better
3. take good care of your skin
4. good brushes make all the difference in the world
5. make-up is fun, not a chore!!
1. Have a skincare routine and do it in the morning and evening. Don’t skip it!
2. Get a good set of brushes and use them.
3. Always step back and look at yourself at a few different angles and different perspectives before you leave.
4. Practice
5. Try everything! You never know what you’ll like
* if you look after your skin and eat healthy, nourishing foods, you’ll also find that wearing makeup becomes an option rather than necessity. * there are no rules when it comes to art so why should there be any rules for makeup application. be creative and play around with colours and formulas. if your not happy with the end result, it washes off! don’t be scared to experiment. * if you are confident and love the look you are wearing, others will too. * invest in good quality, tried and tested products. if you think about how many products you’ve bought and thrown away you might find that buying a slightly more expensive, quality item would have saved your pocket. * share your experience and knowledge. this is why I love sites like this. there are so many things we can learn from one another, things we my never have thought of ourselves but now we know, have changed our methods, perceptions, even lives.
1. NEVER go to bed with Makeup on your face it will destroy your skin.
2. Moisturize! Your skin will love you for it, even if it’s oily/combo like mine.
3. Practice makes perfect, if not I would never wear eyeliner.
4. There are no rules, just what looks good to/on you.
5. Learn/Practice blending. I can’t emphasize how much better and more natural makeup will look with proper blending.
1. Have fun experimenting (do it when you’re not planning to go out if you’re worried about looking crazy).
2. Don’t base purchases only on the SA / product marketing – make sure you love it.
3. Tailor your look to your own personality/style/face – just because it looks could on someone else doesn’t mean it can’t use your own unique spin.
4. Clean your brushes often, don’t be lazy. There’s no point in cleaning your face if you’re just going to wipe dirty brushes all over it.
5. If you find skincare products you’re happy with, don’t start trying all sorts of stuff that other people say works for them. (This one sucks to learn the hard way).
I’d say
1. Use good brushes
2. Put on makeup under good-lighting (warm white light. It took me 2 years to realise that warm yellow light on one side of my face was why I always had more blush on one side than the other)
3. Definitely use a mascara base
4. Wear a red lip with an attitude
5. Blush balances out the lips and the eyes.
1. Skin care routine 2x/day, be consistent, don’t sleep in makeup.
2. Clean your brushes often and properly to avoid bacteria build-up.
3. If you don’t have much time, focus on your skin rather than eyes/lips. You always look more presentable with nice looking skin.
4. Always use bronzer to bring dimension back into your face.
5. If your skin is bad, try not to overdo your makeup bc you can actually end up looking worse.
6. Use a clean pillowcase every night.
Nr. 1: invest in a good lip balm and use it
Nr. 2: invest in some brushes because applying makeup is so much easier with the right tools.
Nr. 3: you don’t have to buy every product available on the market, just because it is LE.
Nr. 4: always remove your makeup and cleanse your face at night
Nr. 5: make-up is fun!
Always put on less. You can always add more but hard to take off without removing all your makeup.
READ BLOGS! (I don’t have one, so not biased). Taught me all I know.
1. Find a good skin-care routine that works for you and stick to it!
2. Chapped lips look terrible. Use lip balm and exfoliate your lips (even just with your toothbrush) regularly.
3. Sometimes quality costs a little more.
4. Make sure your foundation color matches. We can tell when your face and neck are a different color.
5. Try new things, copy other looks you see, ask lots of questions at makeup counters, and always try to get free samples! : )
1. Practice, Practice and Practice…makes perfect.
2. Use only trusted brands.
3. Use professional brushes because the quality affects the application of make-up.
4. Take off everything before you sleep!
5. Primer really helps in making makeup last longer.
I guess these are 5 top tips every makeup fan should know
1. Take excellent care of your skin, so you always have a smooth canvas (clean, exfoliate, moisturize). 2. Learn how you can alter the shape of your face and eyes using techniques to flatter your face/eye shape. 3. Invest in 4-5 high quality brushes: flat shader, eyshadow blending, pencil brush, lip brush, powder/blush, contour brush. 4. Experiment with colors to see what looks best on your skin…cool, warm, etc. 5. Remember there are no rules…do what you love and just be you.
Red lipstick goes with everything. :p
Use what actually works for you, not what you’d like to work for you.
1. Always blend, and when you think you’ve blended enough, blend some more!
2. Check your makeup in the daylight or the lighting that you will be in. Its what keeps you from looking like a Cirque du Soleil performer.
3. Always wear a little blush. You’ll look washed out without it.
4. Always remove your makeup before bed/workouts.
5. CURL YOUR EYELASHES! It will make you look more awake, more fresh, and all out prettier!
* And a side note on the last one, use waterproof mascara, it holds curl in eyelashes a million times better than regular mascara. *
1. Don’t go to sleep with your make up!
2. Primer is very useful in eyeshadows and face make up.
3. Practice and never give up.
4. Take care of your skin.
5. Beauty sleep is important!
1. Don’t stop in the middle of your application just because you don’t think it will look good, makeup isn’t meant to look great the WHOLE way through application.
2. Practice makes perfect, but not after the first few times.
3. Eat & drink healthy & your body WILL thank you.
4. Your eyebrows frame your face; what’s a picture without a frame? Keep them nice & neat.
5. quality makeup is great, but quality brushes are greater. think of it as painting, how many masterpieces do you know of that were made with cheap low quality brushes?
These are in no particular order:
1. Buy and use a variety of eyeshadow finishes – matte, shimmer, satin etc. This can make a look that much more interesting!
2. Invest in good quality brushes that will not scratch your eye skin when blending.
3. Prime your eyes before applying shadow to make them longer lasting.
4. Groom your eyebrows!
5. Have fun experimenting and don’t take too many make up rules to heart 😛
