oh, and I change mine when it starts chipping.
I used to wear nail polish all the time but my nails started to get really dry and unhealthy. One of my friends finds that nail polish helps her nails but I find that my nails get a bit brittle if I wear it too often. I tend to wear nail polish now if I am going out for the evening or for a special occasion. In summertime, I always make sure my toenails have polish on them, though :o), nice and summery!
I mostly wear nail polish on my toes. I do wear them on my fingers if I’m going out but honestly I can’t make them last for very long!
Me too! Nailpolish dont stay on my nails for long time – neither with underbase and topcoat nor without – if I take an expensive or and cheap one – its the same ….
Same here. I only wear nail polish on my toes in the summer, and hardly never on my finger nails because the polish would chip off within hours and look ugly! Apparently if you have soft bendy nails like mine, nothing really helps (other than fake nails, but I can’t be bothered with that). 🙁 The only polish that lasted for about 2 days without chipping was MF Nailfinity, but even that wasn’t that great.

Im almost always wearing nailpolish I love all the different colors out there and I like adding a glitter top coat or painting tiger stripes or making a decoration like flowers or something I can change it as often as a cpl days or a week
I wear them everyday but I pretty much have to for work because if I don’t, my nails will be destroyed. Ahhh the perils of retail work.
I rarely have polish on my fingernails, but always have some on my toes. Recently I found out that it may not be healthy to constantly have a coat of polish on, so I’m trying to keep my toes bare for a few months. Health over beauty, but it’s not easy to resist.
I’m always wearing nail polish, but most of the time it’s a sheer and natural colour. Somehow I can’t leave opaque and coloured polish on for more than a day or two, because I find it just so distracting and I also hate when it doesn’t match my clothes.
Mine are bare at the moment but the majority of the time I have them painted, I try to leave them bare once in a while because it can’t be good for them to be painted all the time! Dark colours are my favourite.
I never wear nail polish. When I do tend to my nails, I buff them until they shine.
Almost every day.. Usually when it chips I will change it.. But sometimes I let my nails “breath”?? between polishes haha 😛

I tend to wear nail polish all the time…I’ll give them a break every now and then. I find they make me look more “dressed” up and put together…and some days I need all the help I can get:)
I only do french manicure on my natural finger nails. But I always have polish on my toes.
im most likely to wear polish in the summer because even if i dont keep anything on my hands, my feet are polished regularly. i think i change my toe polish weekly in the summer.
Usually never, but I have just bought Berry Sweet (lovely bright pink!) and Pink Lemonade (by Orly) which I’ve today.
I have the bad habit of biting my nails 🙁 So I can’t even wear nail polish or my nails look stubby.. if I had nice nails, I’d change it weekly
I usually have a clear coat on my nail and every once in a while I wear a color. I have a dark purple on my nails now. I don’t let nail polish state on my nails longer than 3 days.

I wear polish every day and do my nails usually on Thursday nights. Once a month or so I give dark colors (red, blue, green or black) a break and wear just Orly Nail Armor and some clear topcoat. I also like to do 30’s moon manicures when I have the time.
i wear nail polish usually every week, but once its time to chaange 4 the new color u try to give my nail like 2-4 days of break time(no polish, but like nail oil used, nail strenghener, etc), nd only thn i put the new color on

Just in the past few months, I’ve started taking care of my nails and wearing polish every day. I really wanted to have longer nails (I do now!). I usually keep one color on my nails for two or three days, then switch it up.
I always have nail polish on. I usually don’t switch it but lately I’ve been wearing really bold colors. Like green hot pink neon purple and blues =)
I don’t wear it at all. I wash my hands so much that it kills my cuticles and causes polish to chip.
Always! It’s vary rare to see me without nail polish! Right now I’m wearing a color called navy blue from a local drugstore. Love love love colors!

I used to never wear it, but recently I have been giving myself an at home manicure once a week (to help my nails grow and become stronger). I change up my polish whenever I do the manicure. I always have polish on though!

Pretty much always. It’s a new “thing” for me. I’m a barista, so working on a tradition espresso machine makes it hard to keep them nice. But I’m getting better at doing touch-ups between switching colours.
Only on special occasions.. my nails are really brittle and weak so I can’t wear nail polish as much as I want (I’m severely anemic so my nails don’t grow well).
All the time now that I’m back to having then silk wrapped. Normally I keep the same color on between appointments but with spring here I’m changing it to something vivid and optimistic today!

Those of you who paint your nails every day, how do you find time for that??? I never have enough time to sit still for 30 mins to let them dry properly. 🙁
I paint my fingernails once every couple of weeks. Once they start chipping though, off it comes. My toenails get done with about the same frequency, but it usually last the whole time.
One my toes ALWAYS…they are never not painted!!! As far as my fingers, on occasion. I rock black alot, I dont care what anyone says I think black nail polish looks classy!!!
i get my nails done every 2 – 3 weeks — but on my hands i only do french manicure. on my toes i wear red (mostly) and usually do them every week to 2 weeks (depending on how lazy i am LOL)
On my toes, mostly in the spring/summer when I’m wearing open toed shoes. I rarely do my nails as my life is too busy to maintain them and they end up looking bad too quickly.
I probably change my finger nails 3 or 4 times a week. I change my toes about every 2 weeks. I can’t stand to have naked nails! So that I don’t have nail discoloration, I always use a base coat. I also use a top coat for added shine. I like Orly’s base and top coat, as well as China Glaze’s base and top coat, but I’m in love with Seche Vite’s top coat.
I wear Zoya, China Glaze, Finger Paints, Misa, Orly, Sinful, Nyx, Nfu.Oh and Nubar.
Right now my favorite color is Zoya’s Lillith.

I usually have my toes painted but my fingernails are another story. I have the worst habit of peeling nail polish off if I see it chipping, so the color never stays on for long. Plus, I’m always moving around and I can’t hold still to let it dry! Aaargh
i get a mani/pedi every 2 weeks. my mani lasts 1 week so the other week i go bare. every other week i wear nail polish & it always matches my toes. 🙂 I was a horrible nail biter for more than 20 yrs. of my life so when I was finally able to stop, I wanted to show off my new feminine hands w/ pretty polish all the time!
I change mine about once a month loool. I kinda like the chipped, unpolished look.
EVERY day. I change my nail polish weekly, and the polish on my toes once a month (it lasts forever). I started wearing nail polish all the time when I was in my early teens and I wanted something to help me stop biting my nails, and the habit just stuck.

It’s sooo funny you ask this because I’ve been hard core into nailpolish lately! I’ve done some major hauling in polish colors!!! Ever since I got my fake nails taken off, I’ve been keeping polish on my nails and changing it every 3 days or so. After your recommendation of Zoya Color Lock system, that’s all I use too – and it’s GREAT! Thanks so much!

I have acrylic nails right now, but when I don’t I try to switch my color like every week.
i change mine often cause i like changing the design.. i would do leopard or some polka dots but now i try not to wear them so often cause there starting to make my nails weak and chip.. so now i would wear them for two weeks and give it a break after that for a week or two depends on my mood.
I know it’s kinda tacky but I’m still rockin’ the long, square acrylics. And I’ve worn the same hot pink OPI color (La Pazitively Hot) for like five years now; it’s kinda my trademark. I get ’em done about every three week or so.

I always wear polish. My hands tend to get red and ruddy when its cold/warm/dry/whatever, so I wear a natural but slightly paler-than-my-own colour. It tones it down a bit, so I don’t look like i do dishes for a living, and people dare to shake my hand.
And then, days like today when spring seems around the corner and I am HAPPY, I wear a fun colour. Like the hideously lovely lavender i am applying at the mo 😀
Due to the nature of my job ( waitressing 😉 ) I can’t wear polish on my nails but my toes are always painted! Either bloody red or dark purple <3
I have tons of nail polish but I never use to wear it because I hate chipping and I hate waiting for it to dry, but lately I’ve just been wearing a sheer pink color alot cause it makes them look more put together.
If i have the money (lately i have been able to) i just always get french manicures.. but not white tips.. i have rainbow right now.. i like to do crazzzy colors=] i suck at painting my own nails so i dont! =]

I’ve only started to get back into nail polish. I found some great Essie colors for $0.99 at Ulta so I’ve been wearing those. But usually, since I work with food right now, I use clear nail polish (both to protect my nails, and so people don’t think they have nail polish in their food). I’m going to be working in the medical field starting next week so I’m not sure if I’ll be allowed to wear nail polish. But I love classic red polish- I think it’s sexy.
As far as how often I change it. I usually just take it off once it starts chipping really badly. Then I see how the effort to paint doesn’t last long and I don’t paint them a color for awhile.
I love nail polish and wear it normally on my finger nails and only on my toe nails during summer. It makes my nails stronger too.

I generally wear nail polish everyday. The longest I keep a nail color on is about 2 days, I get sick of looking at the same color and am in need of change! Sometimes I’ll get lazy and leave my nails bare for a few days (I call it giving my nails a breather).
I wear polish everyday. i’ve gown a little collection so I make sure to use every color i have. i do sometimes let them breathe from color so they don’t get yellow but i at least have to put on clear polish. Without it my nails will break

I usually wear nail polish only on my toes and that’s about once or twice a month since I will wear some for a week or 2 then take it off so my nails can ‘breathe’ but now that it’s warmer I’ll be doing them more often!
Even if I don’t wear a colorful nail polish, I wear a transparent one (to let them look shiny and healthy), a nail repair polish with some shininess or a polish with a hint of pink.
Once in two – three weeks I wear a colorful nail polish. But it depends, if I have customer contact or not.
Up until the last few months, almost never since it chips on me almost instantly. But now that I have discovered China Glaze I wear it almost all the time and switch it up between colours maybe every week or so, or longer if it hasn’t started chipping too much.
When ever my nails look dull, I only put peachy, coraly, gold colours on my nails because it matched my olive tone skin, x

I ALWAYS have polish on. I only change it out at the first sign of a chip, which is usually around the 5th to 7th day of use. I use Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield as a base and top coat with OPI polishes (wearing You Don’t Know Jacques right now) in between and a good dose of Natural Additions Nail Hardener/Dryer afterwards. I am fanatically about my nails looking perfect!
I usually don’t do polish on my hands, but my friend recently re-introduced me to the glue on nails. If you get them on right they stay for about a week & they look very good!
I live in Florida, so I always have my toenails done since I live in flip-flops. But I only do my fingernails for special occasions, and even then I don’t bother a lot of the time.
I always wear nail polish. I change the colour maybe 1-2 a week,but that’s it. The boyfriend will call any vampy colour “black” but my friends will check out the colour to see how unusual it is (gray, dark green, dark blue).

I try to polish my nails every time the polish starts to chip off. It really depends on the nail polish and how long they last.
I change my polish daily, I use a Sally Hansen moisturizing base and a SH quick dry top coat(my Seche is in the mail!) I do not like my bare nails, and I change everyday so that I can justify buying more polish! In the last two days I have got 8 new polishes and I am anxiously awaiting 20 more coming in the mail at the end of the week. I managed to find a bottle of OPIs My Private Jet today, it is gorgeous!!

Without a base coat, my polish chips quite quickly (like 3 days). With a base coat, it lasts about 5-7 days which is great. I can’t wait till the summer to wear bright colours on my nails

Every minute of every day! I became obsessed with nail polish last fall and since then not a single day has gone by where I haven’t worn polish. I’m having surgery next month and no polish or makeup allowed but you can be assured that as soon as I get out I’m doing my nails!

I am a nail biter from way back so I always try to keep my nails polished so I don’t bite them. (its the only thing that works!) I like to do dark colors on my hands and fun bright colors on the toes. Right now I’m loving Lancome Phia black and OPI Pompeii purple. I get obsessive about my nails so as soon as I see chips I peel that nail off and re do it. My favorite brand is OPI for Sephora–that lasts almost a week on me. Then I do Orly Sec ‘n dry topcoat to dry my nails quickly. My hands look so much more elegant with a nice manicure–I like to look polished and well taken care of!
I used to be really good at wearing nail polish. I mainly started wearing nail polish because i was a HUGE nail biter. So instead of biting my nails, I’d bite the polish and as we all know nail polish is gross, so I was trained not to bite my nails anymore.
I was also good at keeping my nails healthy but I just got lazy. Now my nails are chipping and breaking like crazy. I really need to start doing my nails again.
I had acrylic nails done awhile ago, but when I got them removed, I discovered they had drilled so far into my nails from previous applications that there was a HUGE indent in all my nails… Never go to the places in the malls, I guess. Anyway, this does relate to nail polish. I like to wear it, but I didn’t always until I had these indents in my nails. Now I change it up constantly to try to hide the indents until my nails grow out fully. Before this incident, I’d wear polish fairly regularly, but I wasn’t religious about it like I am now.
My boyfriend, on the other hand, changes his nail polish constantly, and his nails are fine. 😉

I generally change my polish about every two days. Otherwise, it starts to look a little icky. Sometimes, I may just add another layer of the same color and another topcoat. I love to change the colors.
I’d been a nail-biter for years, and I’ve finally gotten over that bad habit, but the only way they look pretty grown out is with polish covering them–also, polish makes them a bit stronger as my nails have tended to peel in the past. So I wear polish daily, and tend to re-polish when they start to chip. Depending on what I’m doing, that’s about once a week. Right now they are chipped as helllll, but I’m doing something fancy with them for a costume party on Saturday, so there’s no point in re-doing them right now.
I always wear polish. I get my fingernails done every week and my toes every three weeks. My fingernails are always Essie East Hampton Cottage (a pale pinky-white with just a tiny bit of shimmer.) My toes change color every time I get them done. In the summer, I tend to alternate bright corals and pinks on the toes.
