Temptalia Asks You - How do you keep your lips in tip top shape?
How do you keep your lips in tip top shape? What steps do you do? What products (if any) do you use?
.
I exfoliate them with Peter Thomas Roth’s lip scrub every few days, and I always make sure to keep them moisturized with lip balm/vaseline.
.
A big coat of lipbalm before I fall asleep has always been my recipe to keep them well moisturized.
I also always keep lipbalm handy during the day.
Nothing really works for me 🙁 I exfoliate them and use lip balm afterwards and before I go to sleep but it doesn’t seem to help one bit. They’re always chapped when I wake up!
I use the Smashbox Lip Scrub, because it has menthol and vitamin C and then i ue MAC hydrating lip treatment.
Before I go to bed, a coat of vaseline. Throughout the day, lip balms (tinted most of the time). I never wear lipstick that feels dry so my lips are kept nice and moisturized.
Lip balm for everyday use. Then elle’s sugar scrub every 3 days. At night i put on nivea light kiss balm which is amazing
I exfoliate every week with olive oil and sugar.
And I always have a chapstick on with at least SPF15, always.
My family is very prone to freckles so everyone in my family is literally covered in freckles from head to toe, even their lips, so I’m trying to prevent both lip feckles and wrinkles.
I don’t like lip freckles haha
My lips have their own toothbrush. I get it really wet and gently brush my lips, rinse them and put on my favorite natural lip balm. Every once and awhile I also use the Mary Kay Satin Lips scrub and moisturizer.
Lol, I think I just don’t do anything at all with my lips. I own a lip balm but I use it like every few months or so.
I am in love with Rosebud Salve and use it often. Well either that or vaseline.
Lots of water and Kieh”‘s lip balm every am and pm (after exfoliating w/ a warm wet facecloth.
gotta use a lip scrub!
i use the body shop vitamin e lip balm every night before i go to sleep…work wonders for my lips…i’m on my way to 5th tube already :)))…other alternative would definitely have to be the rosebud salve ^_^
honey before i’m heading to dreamland 🙂
i exfoliate my lips every now and then too
I don’t ever exfoliate my lips, but maybe it’s because I have just never felt my lips needed it & i am an avid body & face exfoliator so its not a matter of neglect. I do, however, moisturize my lips like mad. I can’t recall when I have ever had chapped lips before. I use a stick balm in the morning & during the day under my lipstick. Usually Yes to Carrots or Softlips. Then at night I use something heavier especially before bed time. Either Aquaphor, Korres Lip Butter or C.O. Bigelow Mentha lip shine.
A lip balm of some sort and a microdermabrasion cloth when I wash my face. As for which balms I’ve used, lately MAC Tendertone or MAC Naked Honey Salve. The salve is so big, it may be a year or more of use before I’m done!
if I’m not wearing gloss or lipstick I’m always wear Fresh Sugar, I will have to say i love it and I find of all the products i have used this is the best, it’s a little $$ I think about $20, it does last me about a month or 2 so I think it’s worth it to me, plus I make sure I wear to bed, I have the softest lips ever 🙂
I love John Masters Lip Calm but I am also trying the MAC Lip Conditioner SPF 15 in the clear colour.
I massage my lips with my toothbrush after I brush my teeth and apply aloe vera gel after I shower. XXOO
Vaseline! Every night before bed, and occasionally during the day when needed. Haven’t had chapped lips for years!
I have a product from Beauti Control that I use to exfoliate. It is a white, gritty paste that you put all over your lips in a thin layer, let it dry, and then wipe with a wet washcloth. It comes with a lip balm built into the same container, but I’m not thrilled about the balm.
On a nightly basis, I apply Korres lip butter in Guava (clear), and I often use the other Korres lip butters for color during the day.
After taking a shower or washing my face I put on some chapstick. It seems to seal in the moisture and make my lips very soft. I also put on chapstick before bed. Wearing lipgloss instead of lipstick helps too, I swear lipstick dries out my lips. Nivea chapstick is the best I’ve found as it doesn’t have that waxy feel and it’s super moisturizing. Rimmel Vinyl lipgloss is great as it makes my lips soft and helps protect them from the elements.
I use Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer with SPF 15 during the day and Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Total Lip Treatment at night.
Starting to have a sneaky feeling that using lipbalm is exactly what makes you need to use lipbalm…hmmmm
