Now since you have been doing more neutral looks, I just try to copy your looks actually! And so far they have turned out gr8. I love the one you did with Mink & Sable! 🙂 Wore green cargo pants the whole weekend so I could wear earth tones with my makeup! he he.
I loved the way it was so soft, with just a touch of colour in the crease. It really worked for me.
I tried to be creative this morning, and do something with purple and grey, also soft. But Alas, I look silly. You seem to have the right colour combos that just work, so right now I decide what to wear based on your looks! Its safer! lol.

Have you done a tutorial on how to achieve this very subtle effect. I just love it!
Thanks again…

Since I’m paying more attention to my make up, I find myself thinking about what to wear the night before. When I have some new things I want to match my clothes to my make up, but that is only for about a week or so. Usually I pick my colors after I’ve decided about what clothes to wear.
I pay most attention to the e/s colors. In the morning I deciede what foundation and blush I put on my face.

I’m one of those who always matches her makeup to her clothes, unless I’m wearing black or white. Then I wear anything that strikes my fancy. But a typical day starts with me picking what I want to wear and then matching my eyes to that. After I pick my eyes out, I pick out blush and lips.

Everyday I want to try a different look so I pick out my outfit then I see what would go well with it. Some days I want a bolder eye, some days I want more focus on my lips. Sometimes it matches, sometimes it doesn’t. =)

It really varies…I tend to focus on my eyes the most, so eyeshadow is the main thing to think about. But I’m rapidly getting more into lip products :). Anyway, it varies…sometimes I have a certain new outfit I want to wear, so I’ll think up a good eye look to match/complement the clothing. But the other half the time, I think of a good eye look i want to try, and then i have to find an outfit to go with!!

I play with my makeup and do different combos on the weekends ahead of the week! I base my clothes on the make up I am going to wear (as opposed to basing my makeup on my attire). I will go for dramatic eyes and nude lips one week, and, the next red lips and neutral eye…It is all based on my moods and very spontaneous! It keeps it fun!

I almost never plan ahead, choosing to play around with whatever catches my eye in the morning (or evening).

I usually do a neutral look with plums, roses, or browns (I have brown eyes). I hated in high school when girls would match their eyeshadow to their shirt. Instead, I try to do a complementary color. For example, today I’m wearing a moss green shirt, and I’m wearing a sheer mauvey purple on my eyes and cheeks (lazy 5 min makeup). I have a lot of quads, so I tend to pick one out with the colors I’m looking for and then get creative. Lately I’ve been playing with a smoky look with dark liner on top, then lining the lower lashes with a brighter color (emerald, plum, teal). I pretty much practice a look I’m working on or do variations. I should really start taking pictures!

I need to practice more blush/highlighting and contouring next, because I’m really bad at it.

It all depends. Since I’ve been buying a lot of new stuff, I’ve been going for that lately. I also sometimes wake up and go “I wan a smoky eye today” or “I’m thinking bright colors today.”

Or, I pick out my outfit first. And then I match that.

It all depends, as you can see. 🙂

I try to match my outfit. Today I have on a yellow shirt, but i don’t own any yellow eyeshadow. I chose to wear uppity fluidline(gold) as a base and put woodwinked over it to tone it down. Then I put on all that glitters as a highlight and lined my eyes with feline and then 3 coats of mascara(prolash) and I’m done. And I must say I love the effect.

If it’s a big even and I want to look gorgeous, I try to plan out at least what look I want on my eyes & what shadows I will use. This helps immensely because I’m always running late!

On a more causal basis I usually just end up using what’s at hand, which is usually new products.

You know I am so weird! I don’t ever plan my makeup – but I always plan what I am going to wear. I think I waste tons of makeup because well 1st because I don’t really know how to put makeup on so it’s always trial and error. I play around with different looks. Then sometimes when it’s too bold I wash it off in fear that I might look like a clown. I love alot of color, but, I am trying to learn how to wear it without looking like an art palette.

My main concern is how my makeup looks in photos. I always find that when I go out – I take a pic and then I end up on somebody’s myspace/facebook page. So I ALWAYS take a picture before I leave the house to make sure that I am on point. A little crazy?? Probably! LOL!

Oh what’s a girl to do?????
