Haha, yeah. I basically end up hemming and hawing that I’m going to finish the product really really really soon and I end up berating myself that I really should have bought another one because, honestly, it’s that awesome. For example, Stila Lip Glaze in Guava. Sometimes I regret the purchase AT FIRST, but then I get too lazy to actually return the product, so I just make it work. And it does work out. For example, MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation in NC30. (Right now, in the extreme heat? It basically looks orange on me.)
Well, I mean that’s after all my regrets and I finally buy the product. And then it’s a whole batch of regrets all over again.

Omg, there were so many…I wished I would’ve bought some of the MSF like Shimpagne or Glissade, but I especially regret not having bought Lightscapade. I’ve been looking for a similar highlighter ever since, but most I find are too golden or even yellow. I also missed Magnetic Fields and Femme-Fi. I keep browsing Ebay for them, but I still hope MAC will repromote these shades someday!
Last time I was at my local counter (Holyoke MA – about a week ago) they had both of these shades (FF and MF). Maybe a pro store still has them? Doesn’t hurt to call and check, they can ship to you! (Do counters ship out products or accept payment over the phone?)
I live in Germany and already called up all stores I can reach, but these shadows seem to be completely sold out in this country ;)of course I could still call the remaining twenty-something counters if I wasn’t so lazy and so broke at the moment…oh dear, now I’m really considering doing this XD

I agree with Virginia.. so many things I wish I would’ve bought and I can’t find anymore. The most recent non-purchase that I regret is the Dazzleglass.. 🙁 I got just two and I should’ve got at least two other ones and an extra Baby Sparks.. hopefully they’ll bring them again or at least another version.
Monica, you are in luck because MAC is making Dazzleglass a permanent product. One of my real good friends works for MAC and is a national trainer, she scooped me on it.

Hmmm…I missed out on some of the Heatherette stuff, but ended up eBaying a few items from that collection (like the Style Minx gloss). Usually I’m too paranoid with LE items and if I really love it, I’ll buy a backup just in case…but only if I really, really love it!

I think it was called Metal-X by MAC. It was a LE that came out right as I started coming here like everyday. I saw the swatches and everything looked so NICE, but back then I was into the idea of make-up more than actually buying it, so I missed out. But no, I don’t check e-bay for it or anything like that.
You know, most people didn’t love it, so maybe you didn’t miss out, Dee! I have two, but I never reach for them.
I got some of the Metal X shadows from my local CCO. You might want to check that out if you are still interested. I don’t use them all of the time but definitely on occasion.
No, I haven’t yet. For gods sake I found a MAC counter, who still had Smoke & Diamond in stock and mailed it to my house. I would have been pretty disappointed if I missed this lovely color.

Yes!! A limited edition Bobbi Brown shimmer brick that came out in gold last year. I saw it in a magazine and tried to get it in the shops and then realised that my magazine had already been out for a couple of weeks and the shimmer brick was out of stock by that time. Took me ages to find an alternative! I bought the gold Mac Paint Pot called Cashflow that was limited edition and then realised that I should have bought a couple more as it is great but it wasn’t in stock anymore. Managed to find it in the shop though – they were going be sending them back and I got it just in time! Phew!
Cash Flow is sooo pretty, makes me sad that I didn’t get a backup.
so many! last year I bought the nail laquer Coral reef Estee Lauder but not the lipgloss in the same colour and didn’t find it again 🙁
Last week I was in London and I bought only one Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish! Now that I tested it, I regret not having bought 3 or 4!!!

Last winter’s Nars nail polish in Zulu. It was the greatest green polish I’ve ever seen, I just couldn’t justify the price at the time. I still can’t find a match. 🙁

All the time – all the time! I really wanted Dior’s Poison Blue & missed it on Sephora because I kept waiting. I eventually bought it on ebay for $40! Ugh, but I love it and don’t regret buying it – I just regret not buying it at the regular price.
Another regret was quite a few years ago Shu Uemura had a green e/s quad – I had a chance to buy it in Amsterdam (this was before Shu was in North America)but didn’t. Regret!!!!
I think I have that one – if it’s the one I’m thinking of, it’s quite lovely.
I´m a great ebay hunter! I´ve found many products that I missed on ebay, the price is often not so bad if you are used to european prices anyway. My MSF collection mainly came from ebay.

check at Nordstrom before you check ebay for the Neo Sci Fi shadows. If they don’t have it at your store, they can get it from another one & have it shipped (free S&H over $25). if you can get the UPC, they can search the entire company, my store still has a danse lipstick from January 2006! also try nordstrom.com or the MAC website (still has femme fi)
also MSF’s are back October 16th including petticoat!!! and new loose mineralize powders that shimmer!

While travelling in Japan I saw a primer I liked in a drug store. Figuring I would see it again in another drugstore, I didn’t buy it.
I searched but never found it again, and I couldn’t go back to the place I saw it because I was already in another city.

i did regret not getting the holiday brush sets, because i didn’t really have any mac brushes. i had a se 168 brush and a couple of others that i bought on ebay but i think those ones were fakes…and i regretted not buying sculpt and shape, but luckily i found the brushes and sculpt and shape at the cco a couple of weeks ago. so i kicked myself for about 7 months and then it was all better 🙂

I regret not buying Wondergrass and Going Banannas from C-Shock. I was just a MAC baby at the time and didn’t know they were limited edition.

I didn’t buy the MAC volcanic scrub when it came out, and have been kicking myself since. I kept telling myself I can always go back when I was at the counter… bad idea, hehe.

I only bought two things from Antiquitease, which was the very first collection that started me on my MAC addiction. I really loved a lot of the colors, but by the time I had decided to go back and get them, they were sold out 🙁 So I treasure what I’ve got, and keep on the lookout for repromotes/eBay/swappage.
Yes! I really missed out on Antiquitease, but I finally scored a Corsette lipglass on eBay a couple weeks ago for cheaper than retail 😀

I missed out on several MAC collections and wanted to die! N Collecton, C-Shock, Barbie Loves MAC, Moon Bathe… the list goes on and on. Thats why now I try to look carefully at every collection and not let people tell me that the collection is crap or the color I want is a dupe… I always miss out, but lately I have been doing pretty good!

Maybe moth brown, although now that I am in California I can get the NYX dupe. I also regret not getting Dark Edge, which I’ll pick up at a CCO. Volcanic Ash as well, but it was good that I didn’t buy that – I doubt it would have been able to make my cross-country move!

Firespot eyeshadow, hands down. My Cranberry and Goldmine crave it! Also, many of the MSFs, like Petticoat… but it’s coming back! 😀

Hi! You know, a few locations have restocked on Lavender Whip. I was at the PRO store on Robertson in Los Angeles and they got both Lavender Whip and Ever So Rich on stock! I immediately bought a back up of LW because I was being so cautious with the one that I purchased after finding it restocked in San Francisco Macy’s!!
