idk i like it, but i dont like how it’s partnered with maxfactor, considering i think the company tests on animals, and i’m not familiar with their products at all. not that i’m against drug store makeup, it’s just that i thought they would use a higher end brand

It’s not very good. The artists keep disappointing me. There is one on there – Maxi – whose ego is greater than any of his looks. I’ve seen better work on blogs than I’ve seen so far on the show.

I also had high hopes for this reality show, I am totally watching it but I wished that they did more tips. Honestly the best part is the last 10 minutes when they critic the work, you can get some good pointers of what the artists did right or wrong. Other than that i am not too impressed with it yet.

I agree with Teresa…even tho the show is not that hot, you can get some tips. I wish I could go on that show, but I’m still working on my portfolio.

I watch the show because I’m obsessed with makeup- that’s the only reason…but it’s not the best show out there. I have also seen better work on blogs. They could have picked better makeup artists. Also partnered with a higher end makeup brand maybe?

I have it on series record and catch it when I have the time. So far I am really not at all impressed and the Maxi person is way over top. I will continue to watch it because I love makeup and am soaking in all the advice/tips I can.

Wow, i’m just too glad to have a makeup show to watch…the more the better…i have to say though, that the show has taught me about creativity…they had to use fruit and candy to do makeup in one episode, they had to do makeup inspired by animals…did anyone see that zebra look??? … so from that point of view, as a makeup artist it has really opened my creative eyes…also, it has taught me too that i need to know my references, when they call for a disco look or a 30’s look or a 60’s look…i will have to know the difference while on a shoot…so my eyes have been opened in that regard…i agree tho, i’m not too impressed with the max factor bit…or some of the makeup i’ve seen but still a great show.

I agree with a lot of people that I have seen better looks on YouTube and Makeup blogs. But I guess it’s a bit harder for them on tv because they are told what look to do, even though they really aren’t familar with the topic, as for us, we can research online and get ideas from there.

I still think it’s fun to watch though! Haha
