Temptalia Asks You - Do you prefer using a separate sunscreen product or want it included in your moisturizer/foundation?

Do you prefer using a separate sunscreen product or want it included in your moisturizer/foundation? Why do you go one way or the other?

I prefer it in my moisturizer over anything else, just because I feel like I get great coverage with a moisturizer vs. a foundation. I do also have separate sunscreen-only products, because when I know I’ll be out in strong sun all day (e.g. playing tennis), I’ll opt for stronger SPF.

P.S. – How is everyone’s weekend going? What did/will you do?

I prefer it in my foundation, only b/c it breaks me out in moisturizer … a common side effect of rosacea. I am looking for a moisturizer with titanium dioxide as the only sunscreen, but they are hard to find for oily/combo skin. I put a separate suncreen on my neck and ears and would be easier to do it in one step. I lke the Neutrogena Dry Touch Sun Block, which I also use when I am at the cottage or chilling in the backyard.

I prefer having SPF in my foundation because I am so NOT a morning person. One less step is fine by me! If I’m prancing about in the sun that’s different, I like a seperate sun lotion.

This weekend I’m a bit glum. Both my roomates are gone for the weekend and its too darn quiet around here!

I prefer ALL my face products to have sunscreen it in, that way I know if I get lazy and skip a step that I will still be covered.

This weekend is super mellow, same ol’ same ol’…soccer, taking Fafi to the dog park, cleaning house…wow each week my life just sounds more and more exciting 🙂

oooh definitely in my moisturizer (Dove’s essential nutrients SPF15.. my fave!). i’m always indoors so i don’t really need a heavyduty sunblock. i’m not a morning person either (hi Tekoa!) and i already use something else under my moisturizer (elizabeth arden’s Prevage.. review it if you can!) so i really couldn’t be bothered adding another thing to my routine. and i almost never use foundation, but when i do it’s by Becca and their stuff has SPF30 in it. so yay!

my weekend was funny and romantic and gastronomical. saw a comedy show with russell peters and friends in the city on friday, had a gorgeous picnic with the Dude up at mt. tamborine on a lovely secluded grassy spot overlooking the rest of the world and went on a food frenzy on sunday!

i’l prefer a separate sunscreen product! although it’l b lik slapping a lot of layers of pdts on my face i.e. moisturizer+sunscreen+base+powder foundation.. i dun mind as i’l feel more protected.. n most moisturizer/foundation do not hav spf 50++? so yea.. i’m stil using my Neutrogena Ultra Sheer dry touch sunblock! 🙂

I prefer sunscreen in my foundation. I have oily skin so the less products I can put on my face, the better. I kind of double the sunscreen though, b/c I use a moisturizer with sunscreen and then foundation with one too. I don’t any pigmentation getting any darker b/c of sun exposure.

My weekend…it was pretty mellow. Friday night we didn’t do anything. Hubby, son, and I stayed home. The only we did was go out for our favorite tart frozen yogurt. Saturday we went out to dinner for Mexican food with our couple friends. Today – OMG…I went completely nuts shopping. I bought a bunch of stuff from the new Jovovich-Hawk collection for Target. Some cute stuff and it fits so well!! I also went to the MAC counter in search of a good foundation, and found out that they’ve been telling me I’m the wrong shade for the last 9 years. I’m trying a lighter shade of Studio Tech tomorrow and am praying I don’t look orange like I usually do. I also bought Blacktrack fluidline and the new 210 brush which is awesome and perfect for lining with Fluidlines. A good weekend I think!

I prefer it in my foundation too, or even moisturiser is ok. I usually lather on sunscreen separately on my arms and neck when I know I have heavy duty outing in the sun!
Over the weekend I naked yummy cookies, made an elaborate lunch for 15 people (my husband’s college mates came over for lunch)! It was tiring but fun – I loove to cook, nearly as much as I love make up :D.

I prefer a separate sunscreen! The moisturizer I use (kiehl’s ultra) is way more expensive w/ the SPF in it, so I just get Neutrogena Dry Touch at Target and use both. My skin is on the oily side and I don’t need much moisturizer, so if I did use a moisturizer w/ SPF, the amount that I would use wouldn’t really be protecting my skin…(it’s late, I don’t even know if that made sense!)

I like it in my foundation rather than moisturizer. SPF in moisturizer feels thick and irritates my skin. The SPF in um mineral makeup I love! Double duty! Since im layering 3 steps on my face, i keep my moisturizer light- I love my hope in a jar by philosophy under my primer which has a bit of SPF and mineral makeup on top which has SPF 15. I have SPF 30 neutral mineral powder by (blanking on name, got it @sephora) too. I’ve yet to find an SPF moisturizer I like for the face on no-makeup days. So far if I’m at the beach, I borrow some SPF for babies for the face.
