Temptalia Asks You - Do you layer scents?

Do you layer scents? Do you layer the same scent (e.g. body gel, body lotion, and spray of the same scent?) or use different ones together?

.

I don’t layer on purpose, but sometimes I’ll use a body lotion and perfume set!

I sometimes use an eau de toilette and bodylotion from the same fragrance, but I never layer different scents to create my own perfume. It just smells too weird and overpowering on me.

none. Im sensitive to fragrance. So i avoid perfumes at all! Some fragrance in my makeup is OK, or in soaps and bath stuff. But i dont really use scented lotions and i refuse to touch perfumes.

Most of the time I layer the same scent, perfume, lotion, and bath gel. Even though they are the “same” scent , in different mediums the scent changes a bit, so it’s never exactly like the Perfume.

Sometimes if I’m in a hurry and not caring I’ll grab one lotion from one perfume scent and a different perfume .

Sometimes i do i tend to like taking a shower with victorias secret vanilla lace body wash and after spraying myself with the vanilla lace splash!

No, I use unscented lotion and stuff (body wash doesn’t hang around too long), so it’s my perfume that shines. I used to buy the lotions that compliment the perfumes, but the chemistry of the lotion on skin is different than the perfume, so using them together seems to mutate the fragrance a bit. If I really like a perfume as it is, I don’t use it with the complimenting lotion for that reason. (the body milk that comes with Stella is quite different from the perfume, in my opinion, so I stick to the perfume).

i try to layer the same ones if i’m just using body spray, because it wears off quicker, but if i’m using any actual perfume i just use unscented lotion or skip it if i don’t need any.

If I have a set yes! However, I’m kind of a “perfume” snob. I find perfume vs. EDP, EDT and Colognes smells so much better and sometimes very different than the watered down versions. Therefore, I usually sink my money into 1/4 oz. perfumes.

Yes, I like buying sets for this reason. But I also kind of mix and match sometimes – I just make sure the scents complement each other well. Everything I use is scented, lol. I love a good fragrance; just bought Viva La Juicy with Sephora F&F.

I dont really set out to do it, but sometimes I put on a perfume and an anti-perspirant before I leave the house, then I top up during the day with more anti-perspirant and a body spray

Not exactly, but I do moisturize my body with Johnson Johnsons bed time lotion (for fussy babies) and then any fragrance of my choice whether it may be Philosophys Amazing Grace or Burberry Brit.
