Do you consider face/cheek highlighters a must for everyday? Do you only bother for certain looks or occasions?

I tend to wear a highlighter on top of any blush I wear, so I guess I’d say it’s a must! Sometimes I even wear highlighters alone just for a little oomph.

I don’t usually wear highlighter during the day, but blush is an absolute necessity! I typically reserve highlighter only for evenings out.
I on’t think that highlighters are a daily must. I only use a highlighter when I feel like it or have some extra time. Blush on the other hand, is a must for me to give extra definition to my face.

I use them almost everyday. I tend to concentrate more on base make up so good foundation, highlighting and a sheer dusting of blush is a must for me. 🙂 I rarely ever have the patience to do anything else.
I think highlighter should be a must, but I’m still looking for a very cheap one to get the hang of it.
I don’t think they are a must, but sometimes I use it w/o blush so I look more “awake” lol
I love the look but it seems that I’m always pressed for time. But def a must for those going out nites.
I think they are a total must I wear mine everyday. I just think it wakes up my face and makes my makeup look more natural otherwise everything is way to matte. Sometimes even If I don’t wear blush I will still put it on.

Every day, for sure. Ever since I got hooked on MAC’s MSFs I use a different one every day with my 165 brush.
Yes! Sadly I am so pale that if I don’t wear something on my cheeks I look dead, so blush and highlight are a must!
When I do, I like to highlight with MAC MSF soft & gentle but not everyday. I loved using Porcelin Pink with my 109 brush this summer. I saw a nice MSF last night but forgot the name. Might pick it up when I do my next haul for StyleBlack/Fall trends.
Now blush on the other hand is a must for me as I am fair skinned.
For me, it isn’t. I *love* the look of highlighters on people who have great skin. Unfortunately, my skin is oily and highlighters just don’t work on me.
Not for me. I’m very fair, so finding an appropriate shade is difficult, plus I’m rather shiny/oily. I like my skin to look as matte as possible. I have started contouring, though!
If I want a more refined look, I would put on highlighter to bring out my Asian features. If I am pressed with time, I would at least wear my blush to sculpt my face.
I usually use the highligher for date nights or going out with the girls.

I couldn’t say so, since I don’t even wear makeup on a daily basis. xD
I don’t normally use a highlighter, I just use blush. I’m still trying to work out a good “cheek look”. I’m good with doing my lips and eyes, but theres so much skin on your face (duh! :P) I’m afraid its going to look completely obvious and unnatural. For now I’ll just stick with blush for a light flush!
I started wearing blush last yr. I’ve never worn a highlighter but I’m thinking of trying that out and skipping out on the blush.
I suppose so . . . but it’s because I love Shell Pearl Beauty Powder, and use that daily, often with a slight flush of Dainty or Cubic on the apples of my cheeks. I don’t think of Shell Pearl as a highlighter, as it definitely shows up as a light pinkish color on me, but I think it technically is a “highlighter.”
not really. i consider foundation, blush, bronzer, mascara and eyebrows to be staples. everything after is secondary when i’m in a rush.

I just discovered highlighters with NARS albatros and boy it really make a difference! So yes it is a must NOW!!!! When a forget to put some, I just feel like something missing.
I wouldn’t particularly call them a *must* but I definitely try to use them whenever I have time in the morning, so they’re definitely not just for special occasions either.
It depends on the mood I’m in that day. Normally I reserve highlighters for the evening since I find they’re most effective at night.
I think it’s a personal preference. I personally, LOVE to highlight and contour; the magic of makeup is awesome. I love the way highlight can brighten my appearance which, surprisingly, has a positve impact on the way I view myself.
I like highlighting (either with cream color base in pearl, MSF or bodyshop shimmer waves) but since I am using a dewy foundation (chanel pro lumiere), if I don’t add an highlighter my complexion doesn’t look flat anyway.
Depends on my look. Most of the times I do highlight but there are days when i dont and its rare when i dont.
i don’t know if it’s entirely a ‘must’ for me but i would be highly likely to wear just highlighter and skip blush.
