I need this in my life!
It looks beautiful, I hope it performs well too!
I feel like such a downer, but I’m so over the neutrals release… more mattes and more nudes do not excite me…
I hear ya! The second row of more pink / purply shades seems lovely to me, but the last few years have been a neutrals overdose. I’m pretty shy with eyeshadows, but, still, I’d like to see more colorful, yet wearable, new palettes!
I agree – the beauty brands have saturated the market with neutral palettes. These colours do not interest me at all.
Are nude matte palettes just so overdone this decade that they’ve run out of neutral tones? Maaaaaaybe I need to adjust my monitor but I see at least two swatches in there that are virtually identical to two other shades in the same palette…
I want this!
These look like they might lean warm. I look forward to seeing this palette in person. I use matte shadows and I mostly use neutrals, so we shall see. I prefer cool tones as the warm colors make me look as if my eyes are irritated or I have a good case of “pink eye”.
I bought it! I always like Tarte’s lighter matte colors, so I’m excited to try it. I also love the idea of matte neutrals, they are really nice for the office or a fresh face look, and if I end up hating it I know I can give it to my mom! LOL
YESSSS. ALL MATTE NEUTRAL PALETTE!
I’m getting older, so sparkles don’t suit me anymore, and I love tarte.
this is great for women of color who’ve got trouble picking a quality nude palette. I can’t tell you how many crappy eyeshadow palettes come off dusty or unflattering on my brown skin. I will be purchasing this.
I love that this is all matte. It’s hard to find all matte palettes like this which contain an array of beautiful colors!
I got an email from Tarte this morning, telling me to check out their biggest release of 2015. I was more than a little disappointed to see it was just yet another neutral eyeshadow palette. I feel like all of the beauty brands are stuck in neutral. Hit the gas, guys! Give us color combinations we haven’t already seen twenty times this year!
Nice!
I know I said I have too many neutrals, but very few of them are mattes. So, I caved and ordered this. Hopefully, I won’t have buyer’s regret. I have a quad of their eyeshadows and really them. Fingers cross.
*like them (the Bambeautiful quad with the browns…Shades of Clay?)
Tarte never disappoints. Their packaging, formulas and longevity of the shadows are superb 🙂 Looking forward for this one.
The more I look at this, the more beautiful the colors get and the more I realize I need it.
I’ve been really wanting an all matte palette so I’m interested. I’ll definately need to see watches though since mattes often are hard to have good formulas in.
What does “real women” even meeean? So tired of that phrase. But I appreciate the intention and the packaging looks nice.
Ditto. That totally bothers me too–it’s like fake feminism.
“REAL women.” Can you be a fake women? Who else do they expect to use this stuff? Anime characters? And men use makeup too (just look at all the makeup lines named after men–Kevyn Aucoin, Nars, Shu Uemura, just to name a few…).
Aside from that, I hope Christine reviews this–I like the look of this. I have a few matte palettes myself (Stila in the know, naked basics, KVD ladybird) and they’re so versatile. I’d love to know how well this one blends.
haha i agree…i think it is supposed to imply something on the lines of “non-celebrity” women (as if celebrities aren’t actual real people)
I understand the argument against the term “real woman,” but I also understand the use of the term. Do we think a media depiction of a woman is real? Do we think airbrushed magazine covers are real? Do we think the basic white girl or exotic Asian girl stereotypes are real? I think the term real woman is meant to mean just that – real women, not stereotypes, caricatures, and sexist, fake portrayals of women.
I especially like when brands embrace beauty bloggers and YouTubers because these are “real women” producing content themselves, not a concept of a woman manufactured by a production team of dozens of people, mostly men.
I’m sorry, did you say Spring 2015? (I feel for you. Are you being bombarded already?! God bless you!)
OMG! I’ve been looking to expand my collection of mattes, mainly for transitioning/darkening/highlighting, so this would be a good option! Please, please be good!
Entirely random, but gotta say this – when I first saw the promo image, I actually read ‘tasteless’ rather than ‘tartelettes’! HAHA
Lovely colors, but do seem a lot similar to previous tarte palettes I’ve seen around.
The color selection looks great but having tried Tarte shadows and owning two of their palettes I hope that their formula has gotten better. The matte’s in the palettes I own are seriously disappointing – they don’t stick unless I use a very tacky base and then they make my lids look dry and crepe-y. Definitely looking forward to a review from you Christine! *crosses fingers*
If it performs well it would be a worthwhile matte palette to have for transition shades and blending.
I can’t wait to see it swatched!
I know there have been a lot of neutral palettes out lately, but most of them seem lacking in some way, and I can’t think of one that was all-matte like this. This is the first matte neutral palette with a decent range of colors that I’ve seen (outside of Paula’s). Ever. Twelve distinct colors, with a range of cool and warm (though twice as much warm as cool — it would benefit from some cool brownish-grays). If these swatch out well, this will be a great set. I love neutrals, and this is the first one I’ve seen in a year that actually interests me. Having said that, I’d much rather buy individual colors than sets, even if it means spending more, since I already have so many neutrals, esp. in matte.
Depending on how these swatch, it’ll make me break my no-buy. I have very few mattes, so a palette full of them would be amazing.
The colors look better and more varied in those swatches than they do in the palette. Don’t think I’d get this, especially at the price…too many nice holiday sets floating around right now!
I love matte eyeshadow. I’ve been hoping to see a good all matte neutral palette! Glad this is spring 2015 though because I just can’t justify purchasing another eyeshadow palette right now!
Ooh, I hope this is good. I love the assortment of cooler looking matte neutrals. I’ve been looking for one for quite some time.
I REALLY want it (despite the eye-roll inducing names of some of the shades i.e. “Caregiver” & “Real Woman”). Good mattes are so very hard to find – almost as difficult to find as Tarte products in Australia…
I was excited about this palette…until I saw that it was another palette full of all neutrals. Mehhh…I need some color in my life.
Just ordered it! Cant wait to have this beautiful matte colours in my collection!!
I LIKEY! I hope the compact is similar to the CC matte palette.
I think I can wait until January. There are so many other pressing items on my wish list now. Besides I think a review on this is a must for me (hint hint), mattes can go either way.
I’m not a large palette person unless all shades are amazing or unique; my singles, duos and quads supply is well orchestrated that buying these larger palettes just adds too many dupes into my eyeshadow drawers.
I feel like tarte just does the same colors over and over!! At least that’s how it looks!! Oh well.
Seems like a cross between UDNaked3 and Lorac Unzipped, but it is matte which makes all the difference in the world. Love the colors, do I need another eyeshadow palette? NO!!! Am I very tempted by this, yes, more than anything I’ve seen this holiday season, although the Laura Mercier cavier eye sticks look like a great kit with the warm color palette. Just worried about all the shimmer. Le’ts see which one winds up crowding my bathroom shelf!
