Tarina Tarantino Spark of Envy Eye Dream Hyperliner Review, Photos, Swatches

Tarina Tarantino Spark of Envy Eye Dream Hyperliner ($15.00 for 0.04 oz.) is described as a “metallic peacock green.” It’s a rich shade of teal with a hint of blue. It doesn’t lean green and just barley leans blue, but it’s a cooler-toned teal with a metallic finish. It’s less green compared to Urban Decay Clinic and Urban Decay Covet (both of those are almost the same).  I’ve been reaching for this a lot lately, because it looks great paired with a neutral eye as it gives some oomph without dominating.  The product is creamy, so it glides on easily and smoothly without tugging at the lash line.  It yields really good color payoff in a single pass.

In my original review, I really raved about these eyeliners, and then I had more good things to say about three more shades. I’m still missing one (Tommy Jet), but Spark of Envy brings me one step closer to completing the set.  I encourage you to read my original review for a full-length post on these, but to sum it up: these are soft and creamy enough to glide-on easily across the lash line without dragging or tugging while delivering a fair amount of pigmentation in a single pass (and opaque in two). They don’t budge, fade, or smudge during the day, and they wore through a shower for me.  I’m really most impressed by the payoff of these pencils in one stroke, and the excellent wear is icing on the cake.

Wow that’s gorgeous! I have Stila’s Peacock, MAC’s Undercurrent, and UD’s Junkie, and I still feel I need this one! I think I have a peacock tealish eyeliner addiction!

You’re reinforcing my reasoning for wanting it! You’re such an enabler! <3 🙂
Looks like it's definitely not like Peacock either, which I found to be darker and leans more blue than Undercurrent/Junkie.

These are really beautiful. I was so sad when I went to the local Sephora in JCPenney and they didn’t have them! I’m definitely getting at least one or two when I go home and raid the Sephoras in that area. 🙂 I was going to get just Cute Robot and maybe Tommy Jet but this one is tempting…

It’s so lovely I hate it ! I checked we don’t have it in French’ Sephoras 🙁
I have one that’s also different even if “not that far” but it is more blue than this one. I wish i’d be able to find it somewhere or find a perfect dupe for it cause it’s really gorgeous !

what do you mean by “French Sephoras” – I live in Montreal where all packaging must have French written on it and the Sephora I go to sells Tarina Tarantino (and I now own some – blame Christine’s reviews)

I actually tested this on my hand the other day at Sephora. Though not this color, but it was really nice. Smooth and creamy but not soft. When I tried to remove this swatch with another swatch of some other sort, I had a hard time getting it off. It really stayed put. I think this is nice product.

So pretty. Oh man, I feel like I’m going to wind up clearing out the Tarina Tarantino eyeliner section at my local Sephora by the time I’m done this year. XD
