I like to see 30% off or more. I'd say 40% is my real "optimum" though. When it's 30%, I still think on it a lot, at 40% I'm way more likely to buy (and buy more).

Do you feel (or are you) restricted as to what kind of makeup you can wear? What is the restriction? Work, school, comfort-level?

Although there are no rules at school, I do feel like bright and bold eye makeup puts me a bit too much in the spotlight, so I don't do it often! I also feel like others...

I wear at least SPF 15, but I usually aim for 30 or 35.

Do you think an eyeshadow base is necessary? Is it just extra? Do you always wear one?

Yes, I think they're necessary. I only wear bases alone, but I'd never wear a regular eyeshadow alone, because it'd fade and crease in no time.

Shiseido always comes to mind, as does La Mer. The last skincare regimen I had going was Kate Somerville and Mario Badescu products. I'm testing something new now, though!

I tend to focus more on the latest and greatest, though I am always interested in trying proven products I haven't yet tried!

What do you look for in the perfect lipgloss? Sticky, glittery, opaque?

I'm all about a semi-opaque to opaque, shimmery but not gritty, lipgloss. Sticky or non-sticky doesn't matter, but it should wear well.

How many eyeshadows do you use per look? (On average!)

On overage, probably between 4-6, but easily more. It's just so easy to take a little from one shadow, a little from another...

I only share certain pieces -- some are personal items, so I don't, but others are kept sanitary so they can be used on others.

What are your top five favorite makeup/beauty brands? Why? What order?

I find myself most drawn to Korres lately--something about them makes me want to try everything! Long-time favorites have been MAC, Guerlain, Dior, Urban Decay, and Benefit.
