Liquid Highlighters

I love them for mixing with foundation to have a more luminous finish! I find that to work better for me than a dewy foundation personally.

I don’t use it that much myself, since I tend to use pencil eyeliner. I like how smooth gel eyeliners can be, and I also like that you can get very precise, crisp lines with that type of formula!

Lip Sets

Of all the types of holiday sets and kits, they’re one of my favorites. I feel like it is hard to finish lip products before they go bad (particularly glosses), so it’s nice to have minis.

Cream Highlighters

They can be nice, but I tend to prefer powder products for ease and wear, so I rarely will reach for a cream highlighter. I’d also say my preference leans toward a heavier, more obvious highlight so creams usually are subtle!

I find that, by and large, they do not work well on their own–they need a glitter adhesive, so my complaint is more that this should be stated. Most brands
market them as usable on their own when it’s just so rarely true. There are a few, though, that work well on their own (at least, most of the time) – like UD Moondusts or Stila’s liquid Glitter & Glow.

Beauty Subscription Boxes

Just not my thing–I think I am just too busy testing other products that I never end up getting to travel or deluxe sized items, and I just… don’t want random stuff.

P.S. — Thanks to Nichele for this week’s topic!

Contour Powders

I don’t reach for the much any more, so for me,
they’re usually just an extra step I’m not willing to add to my routine these days. I love when brands actually put out neutral and cool-toned highlighters, though.

Pot Concealer

They tend to have richer coverage, which makes them great for covering up darker spots or under the eyes. They also have less slip, so they may not crease as badly! Sometimes,
though, they can be drier and harder to blend out.
