Swatches: Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette + 8x Eyeshadow Stacks
Melt Cosmetics Gemini Eyeshadow Palette ($58.00 for 0.66 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that is listed as “sold out” but also has “notify me when available,” though the brand has previously stated that it wouldn’t be restocked and has been tight-lipped since as far as I’ve been able to discern!
Melt Cosmetics Eyeshadow Stacks ($48.00 to $58.00) are part of the permanent range, and while I was swatching the Gemini palette, I decided it was a good time to swatch all of the stacks I’ve purchased (but never swatched or reviewed) in the past as well. As they are all palettes, the links below will take you to the swatches by palette, and in this post, Gemini is featured specifically. Some shades are also available individually ($17.00 each).

This is a REALLY interesting color combo! I’m intrigued.
I’m waiting on my Gemini palette & She’s In Parties stack to arrive. Plus, Christine you are a freaking mind reader, I was just about to request that you review the Melt Cosmetics stacks.
As soon as I saw this palette on Instagram my antennae went up! The color combination and the colors themselves are wonderful and refreshingly different!
Gemini has that similar swampy, murky vibe as does ABH
Subculture. I love it! I’ve been somewhat tempted by the Melt Stacks for awhile, but haven’t jumped yet because of the price. Silly, though, since I do have a Chanel quad. She’s In Parties and Gunmetal are 2 of my favorite Stacks that I wouldn’t mind owning.
Gemini & Subculture do have similar vibes, but they aren’t the same. So having both in your collection won’t feel redundant, at least it doesn’t for me. Plus, I used Gemini palette for the first time today and the Melt formula is so nice. I can see it easily becoming one of my favorites. Totally worth the money IMO.
I’m sort of drawn to the autumn vibe of this but there are also some mustard-y and orange-y colours that I really dislike. And given the difficulty of procuring this – easy pass.
I’m so happy you’re reviewing these! I have a couple of stacks, and would love to add more. I’m excited to see dupes for their products that I already own as well.
Nice palette, especially the greens! I don’t love this palette $58 worth, though.
I absolutely loved the look of this when it came out, but seeing all the shades swatched side by side I’m realizing I’m only interested in Mochi, Fire OG, Goalz, and Lorelei. I have no interest in the other shades, so $58 is too pricey. I’m still looking forward to your review of this and the other Melt shadows, though! The greens look a bit crumbly to me so I’m interested to see how they perform.
The brand Sydney Grace Co put together some shoes from their line for Gemini on their Instagram, if you want to check those for a couple of singles! (Hopefully Christine will find us some dupes as well!)
Ditto. Exactly.
I really like the Melt formula but so far have bought only some singles of shades I would wear every day to justify the cost. I am looking forward to your thoughts on the stacks.
This looks really nice and I love the colour combinations, apart from the black (why?)
Now THIS is a late 70s inspired palate! A month or two ago, there was a 70s palate that missed the mark to me. This on the other hand embraces an era of avocado appliances, leaded gas air pollution, cheap Mideval-revival furniture, and shiny polyester. I mean that as a compliment. None of these colors work with my coloring, and I’m still tempted to buy it.
Ugh. I really want this and only found out about it yesterday…I hope they restock or make it permanent so I can get it.
Love this colorway- especially the greens!
I wrote to them on their Instagram. They said it’s gone – not coming back.
I have to admit I am pretty intrigued by this palette and I am not sure why. I don’t think a lot of the colors would work for me with my super fair, very pink/peach undertones but the fact that it is not a warm orange/red palette is really refreshing. I will probably pick it up for my daughter because I think it would look amazing on her and then maybe I can play with it and see how it looks. She has a couple of MELT stacks and really likes them. Maybe more brands will break out of their comfort zones and give us some really unique palettes. I am so happy that you are going to be reviewing this Christine.
Love the color scheme but a couple swatches look weak. And for $58 I want all of the eye shadows to perform well. Glad to see swatches. On the fence about this one.
I so wanted this palette, but now that I see more realistic swatches I am not so sure anymore! Yay, because 1. it is not available now and 2. I really want to try not to break my no-by. Mochi and Goalz look very nice though…
This palette is so dupeable and not at unique. Mustard, orange, green and brown I have a million times over. Buy singles for the one look you’ll probably do with it and it won’t come out to $58
Just the last four as a palette/stack, please.
I have a particular weakness for Melt Cosmetics and own most of the shadows (either from purchasing whole stacks or individuals), all the highlights, and a couple of lipsticks despite the fact it’s the worst formula I’ve ever tried from anyone. I wanted this palette so bad, just to continue my collection, but I’ll just never use it. I’m not a mustard girl and several of the colors seem redundant. I also haven’t purchased the Baby Girl stack as it was released after loudly proclaiming a “low buy” and I couldn’t justify it. ………Shadowplay (blushlight) did find its way in to my cart during the sale and I have no regrets.
Thank you for swatching your stacks!
This gives me the same vibes as one of Jaclyn Hill’s soon-to-be-released Vault eyeshadow palettes, the yellow-toned one. There might even be 3-4 straight up dupes. Not that it’ll be easy to get that one once it comes out, but at least there will be guaranteed restocks. Definitely something to consider if you wanted this, however you feel about her. Hopefully, those palettes will be reviewed here! (I’m sure they will!)
