Skin tone/coloring: Light-medium
Favorite red polish: OPI Rosey Mistletoes-ies followed closely by OPI Bastille My Heart
Favorite polish finish: Not sure whether you mean top coat or type of polish. My favorite top coat is Seche Vite and my favorite finish is shimmer.
Best base coat: Orly Bonder. I’ve also tried Zoya Anchor but I greatly prefer Orly Bonder.
Skin tone/coloring: Light/medium (NW20/NARS Deauville)
Favorite red polish: Essie Clambake
Favorite polish finish: matte (because it’s unexpected and not many people do it!)
Best base coat: Essie All in One Base
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair-medium (NW20-25)
Favorite red polish? I’m not a big fan of true red nail polish (I HATE red cremes), but I do like China Glaze Red Essence a lot. I also like reds that leans more orange/coral/pink, like China Glaze Bad Landing and China Glaze Jamaican Out.
Favorite polish finish? Very fine shimmer. I love it when the shimmer is a different color than the polish, like orange polish with teal shimmer.
Best base coat? I have used CND Stickey base coat forever, but I recently switched to Butter London Nail Foundation, and I absolutely love it. When used in conjunction with Butter London Hardwear topcoat, I can actually get my polish to stay on for close to two weeks. Before I started using this combo I was lucky if I got to day 3 with no chipping, so I’m really happy to have discovered this.
Skin tone: Fairish (NARS Finland, Chanel 20)
Favorite red polish: Butter Knees Up
Favorite polish finish: Seche Vette. Love the shine, love the dry time, hate the shrinkage, still addicted.
Best base coat: Still searching. Currently using a Sally Hansen that’s not horrible.
Skin tone: tanned with a hint of olive (MAC NC 30-40)
Favorite red polish: currently Zoya Gia or Salma

Best Base Coat: Best I’ve found is the OPI Ridge Filler because I have really prominent ridges in my fingernails. Still looking for a better one though!

Best Base coat : Divin Eclat from l’Onglerie ( a French brand based in the area of Bordeaux ), it prevents nails from getting yellow.

Favorite red polish: OPI Smitten with Mittens
Favorite polish finish: I love glitter polishes but hate the time it takes to remove. So I’d have to say shimmer would be my favorite.
Best base coat: I haven’t really tried that many. I’ve been using Nail Tek Ridge Filling Base Coat and I think it works well. I received it as a gift from a friend and it’s lasted forever so I haven’t had a chance to really try anything else.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair with pink undertones
Favorite red polish? Maybe China Glaze Ruby Pumps. But I still haven’t found a red polish that I love. And I’m usually sick of it by the end of the day.
Favorite polish finish? I really prefer cream polishes. And they are the easiest to take off!
Best base coat? I love the Sephora by OPI hydrator. I’ve been through a few bottles of it already. It keeps my nails from peeling.

Best base coat? Still searching… loved this one brand I used back when I lived in Dominican Republic. I don’t think I have ever found any base coat better! All the ones I’ve tried here seem to fall short (and my peeling, fragile nails are the proof!). Hoping to get some good suggestions via this post! My nails have legit started peeling layers like an onion… Any suggestions? I’m desperate! Only thing I can think of it the OPI Ridge Filler but it’s not a base coat per se, is it?
@madeange You can try clear polish, or the OPI Ridge Filler as a base 🙂
@madeange I use Sally Hansen Triple Strong as a base coat & sometimes as a topcoat, as well. It really is a multitasker for me, in that it fills ridges, holds on polish (I can go about a week, 2 days without), my nails don’t crack/split, and it also works well without polish. It’s fairly inexpensive ($8 a bottle), and it lasts a while. The *only* complaint I have is that I have to allow a solid hour to do my nails (to accomodate drying time), and I just don’t have that much patience.

Favorite red polish? An YSL crimson, vermillion red. I’m crushed that I’m almost running out as I can no longer read the product info/name/# on the bottom & I don’t think they make it any more. It’s such a gorgeous, glowing blood red. Imagine Jungle Red (my 2nd choice) but with blue undertones amped up.

Best base coat? I’ve started to use Revlon’s Colourstay base coat and I have to say, I’m really quite impressed. That thing makes colours stay ON!!!! To the point that it’s actually a bit of work to take off the nail varnish. Surprisingly good and so much better than both the OPI and the ULTA brand I was using before.
