Survey Says... March 23rd, 2016
Happy Wednesday! Here's this week's survey, which you can copy and paste and share as a comment.
- Your skin tone/coloring:
- Most used eyeshadow palette?
- Least used eyeshadow palette?
- Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette?
Your skin tone/coloring: fair warm (Cover FX G10)
Most used eyeshadow palette? Morphe 35O
Least used eyeshadow palette? Urban Decay Naked 3
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Probably my Z Palette, just because I can put blush, contour powder, and eyeshadows in one palette
Your skin tone/coloring: Tan – Dark (NC 42-44)
Most used eyeshadow palette? I usually prefer singles, but my most used palettes would be Tom Ford’s Cognac Sable (now discontinued 🙁 ), MUFE Artists Nudes Palettes (great quality neutrals) and Tartelette (for easy everyday mattes) !
Least used eyeshadow palette? Sadly, the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, I’m working on rectifying that!
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Hmm, both the TF and MUFE have been travel friendly. But I’d pick a few singles as opposed to an entire palette for travel anyday!
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium, warm
Most used eyeshadow palette? It varies because I go through phases, but at the moment, my most used palette is my Mac Nordstrom Neutrals. I also really love the Chocolate Bar and Chocolate Bon Bons palettes.
Least used eyeshadow palette? Sadly, I have many palettes I never use. But the ones that stand out to me are the UD 15th Anniversary Palette and the Too Faced Romantic Eyes palette.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I travel a lot and what I bring really varies depending on what I’m doing or where I’m going. For me, it’s generally anything with a good range of neutral colors and a mix of matte and shimmer, with a matte highlight shade, a matte mid tone brown, and a matte dark brown or black. A mirror is a must. Some examples of palettes I travel with are the TF Chocolate Bar, Chocolate Bon Bons, UD Naked Smoky, and Too Faced Natural Eyes.
Your skin tone/coloring: deep warm
Most used eyeshadow palette? Currently , Kat von D eye contour palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? the balm voyage i think
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Au naturelle Sleek
Skin tone/coloring: Medium Tan (Armani Luminous Silk Foundation 6.5)
Most used eyeshadow palette: Definitely a tie between the original Tarte Tartelette palette and Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette.
Least used eyeshadow palette: Sadly enough, my Urban Decay Naked palette (the original).
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette: Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette.
Your skin tone/coloring: Pale with warm/yellow undertones
Most used eyeshadow palette?: I don’t actually have one. I rotate through my palettes a lot. If pressed, I guess I’d say my most used palettes are Marc Jacobs Style Eye-con No. 7 in The Dreamer, Viseart Neutral Matte, Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye and Chanel Les 4 Ombres Mystic Eyes quad.
Least used eyeshadow palette?: Probably my Rouge Bunny Rouge Chronos palette. I love it, but the colors show up pretty dark on me for every day use.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette?: Probably Marc Jacobs The Dreamer palette. I love how slim it is.
Skintone/Coloring: Fairly light, very neutral; dark-featured.
Most Used: Hmmm… This varies, as I tend to use my newest for a while, and it seems I get at least one new one every month, LOL! That said, if I need to just grab one when time is limited, I’ll typically go with NYX Butt Naked Eyes; it’s goof-proof, as the pigmentation is fair (but extremely easy to build up), and all the colors work well both together, and with my coloring.
Least Used: My original Naked palette… I’ve literally only used it a handful of times, and I’ve had it since the original release…
Best For Travel: I always bring all my Naked palettes (even the original, LOL!), since I keep them together in one makeup bag. I just grab the bag, toss it in my travel bag, and bring a few other random shadows/palettes, depending on what feels appropriate at the time. Even if I forget something, I know I can build any eye look between these palettes, and I know what primer works best.
That said, if space was more limited, or it was a one day/overnight trip, I’d go with Kat von D Shade + Light, or LORAC Pro, or even just UD Naked Smoky.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light/Medium skin tone, dark hair/eyes
Most used eyeshadow palette? Probably Naked 1
Least used eyeshadow palette? UD Electric- I got it on a holiday deal… I don’t think I’ve used it except to swatch it! ?
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I would say really any of the palettes from the UD Naked or TF Chocolate Bar lines. The are sturdy and shut well, and all of them contain a really good range of colors and finishes. You could create a lot of looks with any one of them.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool-toned
Most used eyeshadow palette? right now it’s a toss up among the original Naked palette, TF Chocolate Bon Bons (because it’s new and so I’m having fun with it) and Stila Spirit Eyes Are the Window
Least used eyeshadow palette? a palette I got from Cargo – I think it’s called “The Essentials” and also the Nars Dual Intensity palette, not because I don’t love it but because it’s one I have to combine with other palettes and I also have to be in the mood and the setting has to be right for eye looks with that much sheen to them
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? again, the original Naked palette or Vice2 and also Lorac Pro (except the latter 2 are hard/impossible to replace, should they get lost; ideally for me, a travel palette needs to be easily replaceable so more and more, I’m likely to opt for one I’ve put together myself from singles that can be repurchased should they get lost or damaged)
Coloring: fair/cool. NW 10
Most used: I honestly don’t use any of them enough, but my current faces are Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons & Tarte Energy Noir. While I wouldn’t call either of them truly cool toned, I find they are “cool enough” for me to use for neutral looks, and the Bon Bons has some fun pops of color!
Least Used: UD Naked 1. It’s just too warm, and the gray & black shades in mine are very poor quality–dry, stiff, unblendable.
Most travel friendly: I rarely travel, but when I do, I usually bring singles–I haven’t yet found a palette with enough versatility to justify the bulk
Your skin tone/coloring: Light/Medium Olive
Most used eyeshadow palette? That kinda depends on my mood and laziness. Lately it’s been between the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea and BH Carly Bybel palette.
Least used eyeshadow palette? I just sold a ton of makeup a couple months ago and one was the UD Smoked palette. I had bought it but never used it once.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Again this depends upon my mood and where and why I’m travelling. Mostly I just go home to visit family in the summer or Christmas so I don’t need anything fancy. I think something small and fairly neutral would be what I grab; Clinique Neutral Territory, Tarte Tartelette, Becca Ombre Rouge. Any of those would work. Then all I would need is an eyeliner if I want to add any drama.
Where did you sell your makeup Carolyn? I have so much stuff that was used just once or twice are just swatched that I would love to find another home for just don’t know how to go about it.
I sold a lot of stuff through Glambot but they don’t give you very much for your items compared to what they sell things for. I could have made much more money selling each thing myself but it does make it easy because then you don’t have to do all the work taking pictures and loading each thing online. Now I donate stuff to local women’s charities and the put the high end stuff online. It would be cool if there was a website that you could advertise what you have and buy and/or trade from other makeup lovers.
I believe there’s a reddit page for selling makeup – https://m.reddit.com/r/makeupexchange/
Hope that helps, Vanessa V!
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37-40, deep brunette, teal-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Most used eye-shadow palette: A tie between UD Spectrum and my custom MAC quads.
Least used eye-shadow palette: UD Naked Smoky. Been tearing up too much lately to do a really dark smokey eye without winding up with it running down my face.
Best eye-shadow palette for travel: Probably the ABH Self-Made Palette for variety? Or Lorac Unzipped, but bring a variety of eyeliner pencils?
Your skin tone/coloring: NW0ish
Most used eyeshadow palette? My custom neutral palette, or Naked Basics2
Least used eyeshadow palette? Naked Basics 1 (I just like 2 better–I don’t own many eye palettes)
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Naked Basics 2, Too Faced Boudoir Eyes
Your skin tone/coloring: light to medium with yellow undertones, dark brown eyes, black hair
Most used eyeshadow palette? Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons
Least used eyeshadow palette? TheBalm Shady Lady 1. I adore all the colors, though!
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I have a feeling it’ll be my Stila Spirit palette because of the massive square mirror and classic Stila neutral shades. Because honestly, I don’t think any of my palettes are super travel-friendly. They’re all long (e.g., Urban Decay Naked) or fragile (e.g., Wet n Wild). I have a super big floppy makeup bag, and they fit just fine, but sometimes it’s annoying to take such a big bag on trips!
Prob NW25/CFX 30.
rotate a lot, use newbies most often. Now it’s MUFE colorful 9, but it needs some UD Naked Basics.
Naked 1; looks muddy. 2&3 get more use.
Don’t travel. Thank God I did before the world got so precarious. Prayers to Belgium. Prob would be UDNB2, if I even brought shadow. Most fantasy vacas do not require done eyes. Who needs eyeshadow, sturgeon fishing in BC? Or looking for poison arrow frogs in Central America? Or exploring the micro environments in Madagascar? E/s sounds distinctly out of place. Plus, it would be fun to pick up some ‘indigenous’ m/u, while there.
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium Neutral MAC NC 30/35
Most used eyeshadow palette? Urban Decay Naked/ Too Faces Chocolate Bar
Least used eyeshadow palette? Smashbox Full Exposure
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Tartlette in Bloom/ Urban Decay Naked Basics
Coloring: light
Most used eye palette: I’m currently doing my own little “use a palette every week” challenge…but left to my own devices, I tend to gravitate towards Chocolate Bar, Chocolate Bon Bons, Vice LTD 2, or Tartelette 2 these days.
Least used: Probably Too Faced Return of Sexy. Or UD Electric… I love it, but it’s not for every day.
Most travel friendly eye palette: This seems like an odd choice, but despite its size, it would be Vice LTD 2. For me, this palette is incredibly easy to use and I can go neutral, colorful, or neutral with pops of color. Or possibly Chocolate Bar, which can do no wrong.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones, N10-N13; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes. I’m a palette junkie with a big collection, so I rotate a lot. I’m excited to see everyone’s answers. For my answers, I’m defining a “palette” as anything with four colors or more.
Most used eyeshadow palette? Probably Urban Decay Naked Basics. I’ve had it a long time, and I always take it traveling. I tend to grab it if I need a fast look or need to do my makeup on the go. I can do my whole face with it except blush, so it seems like I’m always grabbing it for something. Most used colored palette would be the Urban Decay Electric Palette. If I’m not doing full eye looks with it, them I’m using the shades for pops of color or as eyeliners. It’s a surprisingly versatile and under-rated palette, IMHO.
Least used eyeshadow palette? I’ve donated most of my palettes I wasn’t using, such as all the big 120 color palettes form bhcosmetics that I got as GWP, etc. Right now my least used is probably the e.l.f. Clay Eyeshadow Palette in Smoked to Perfection. The pigmentation is great and it blends well, but the shadows are so dry and have so much fallout, I hate to use it. I’ll probably stick it in my next donation box. Cargo Shanghai Nights was pretty disappointing, so I rarely use it. I got it cheap and I like the packaging, so I keep it and use a few of the colors.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? (I didn’t consider face palettes such as Naked on the Run, and just stuck to eyeshadow palettes.) Urban Decay Naked Basics is my favorite. I can do everything except my blush with it, and it’s very compact & easy to pop in my purse. The packaging is sturdy and has a decent mirror. I always take it when I travel, usually to augment a brights palette, but on it’s own if space is an issue. For longer trips, I like the Too Faced Chocolate Bar or Semisweet. They both they have enough variety that I don’t get bored with using them for week or so. Again, they have sturdy packaging and decent mirrors.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light, yellow undertones
Most used eyeshadow palette? My custom neutral Makeup Geek Z palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? Sigma Creme de Couture palette
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I don’t like to travel with non-drugstore palettes so… Wet n Wild Comfort Zone.
Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain
Most used eyeshadow palette? Kat von D Innerstellar, Urban Decay Vice 2 & 3.
Least used eyeshadow palette? TheBalm Balm Jovi, I like it but I forget I even own it haha.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? The Sephora 5 color palettes are good for travel. Also UD Feminine.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool leaning towards neutral. (NARS Terre Neuve/ BareMinerals 01 Opal)
Most used eyeshadow palette? I rotate between palettes each time so there isn’t a single one I don’t use! I adore nearly all of them! My favourites are MUFE Artist 15, UD Urban Spectrum, and Anastasia BH SelfMade.
Least used eyeshadow palette? Maybe the Pop Beauty one in Smokin’ Hot gets the least love at the moment.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? BareMinerals The Soft and Smoky, it goes well with either warm or cool looks and is compact and travels well.
Your skin tone/coloring: NC15
Most used eyeshadow palette? either my MAC palette, which I don’t know would count as it’s a mix of brands, or the Naked 2 palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? Vice 4 as I use it for specific looks, not everyday.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Naked 2 Basics
Skin tone/coloring: fair/light with pink undertones (Nars Mont Blanc)
Most used palette: My Lorac Unzipped Gold palette, it’s very versatile and neutral but with some sparkle and it’s really great for green eyes.
Least used palette: Sadly, I have almost never used my Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix palette from this last holiday, which I need to remedy. (summer, here I come!)
Most travel-friendly palette: Either my Lorac Unzipped Gold or the Tartelette Tease palette because it’s just so tiny!
I also have green eyes so I will look into the Lorac Unzipped Gold palette…thanks for that 😀
Your skin tone/coloring: light and warm
Most used eyeshadow palette? These days, Smashbox Double Exposure
Least used eyeshadow palette? Lorac Pink Champagne. Really not very good.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Smashbox Double Exposure because it’s sturdy and has a little bit of everything.
Warm leaning neutral, light-medium. Brown hair and eyes.
Most used palette: right now, it’s the Limecrime Venus 1. However, I recently realised that Etude House Blend eyeshadow quad in Dried Rose has a similar range of pinky colours so you could go for that instead if you don’t want to support LC. I usually mix the taupe and pink shades together for a simple school look, with the shimmery white along the tearduct.
Least used palette: I don’t have many! Probably the Tarte Bon Voyage one, though it’s got a nice skin tone shade. The rest turn muddy fast on me.
Best for travelling: Tarte Bon Voyage. Super thin with a good selection of neutrals, even if I don’t use it much anymore.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, neutral
Most used eyeshadow palette? Hard one to answer as I seem to pick different ones most days right now. Chocolate BonBon I think is the one I’ve reached for the most during this month.
Least used eyeshadow palette? Smashbox Full Exposure, the neutral one, it’s old now, but I never did get along wiht it. I think I try it two times a year, when I think I should just uese it up and be done with it 🙂
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Not sure, I rarely travel anywhere, I quite like to pick and chose from my MAC ones and make a travel palette for that particular trip.
Your skin tone/coloring: light with yellow undertones
Most used eyeshadow palette? Probably MAC x Rick Baker the Monster’s Bride pro palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? … Literally the rest of them… Too many!! Most likely the MAC warm and cool palettes since they’re the newest and untouched!
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I’m going away this weekend… Maybe I’ll bring Tarte Mattenificent with me, nice neutrals and a big mirror!
I’m fair neutral in coloring. My most used eyeshadow palette is Naked 2. My most unused palette is the Too Faced Le Grand Chateau holiday palette. I would say the ones I find easiest to travel with are the Naked palettes. So many looks in one small(ish) package.
Skin tone – fair, light porcelain
Most Used Eye Shadow Palette – Naked 2 at the moment and Vice 2.
Least Used Eye Shadow Palette – Emerald Pretty and CT The Rebel.
Most Travel Friendly – bareMinerals The Exotic Escape – teals and greys/ Naked 2. Sometimes Vice 2.
Your skin tone/coloring: NC50
Most used eyeshadow palette? LORAC Pro Palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? Urban Decay palettes of any kind
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Self-made quad of neutrals
Your skin tone/coloring: 250 Bisque W (Lancome Teint Idole)- Light-Medium – Yellow
Most used eyeshadow palette? Lorac Pro & second runner up KVD Mi Vida Loca (from Fall 2015)
Least used eyeshadow palette? Sugarpill Edward Scissorhands Palette (Most of the shadows are pressed way too hard)
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? ELF Mad for Matte
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/Light; pink undertones; MUFE LL #7 Pink & #11 Pink Porcelain
Most used eyeshadow palette? Currently, it’s the TF Pink Glow palette because I just received it last month. I always use a new palette a lot at first to see how it performs and figure out the different ways I can mix the colors for different looks. The UD Gwen Stefani palette and ABH World Traveler palettes have become favorites and I will reach for them more frequently than I’ve ever reached for any other palette (to use alone).
Least used eyeshadow palette? There’s more than one. TF Cat Eyes, both IT Cosmetics matte palettes, CT Vintage Vamp, and any Dior palette ever.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I travel mostly by car so anything goes. However, if I were going to travel by plane, I’d most likely take two of my z-palettes and two palettes I created using single shadows.
Christine, I cannot login using my user name and password. I keep getting the “Login Cooldown in effect. You must wait X seconds before attempting to login again.” I wait over the amount of time required and I keep receiving the same message with the number of seconds continuing to increase. =(
Hey Cat,
I let Nick (tech support) know – my guess is it’s related to an additional security layer we’re running on logins. I know you have to tick a “I’m human” box now, so we’ll double check!
I’ve gotten that message a few times, too. It does go away after 4 seconds, at least.
Do you get it every time or just sometimes?
Just some times. The last time I was Friday afternoon. I got it three times in a row that time. I cleared my cache, and then I was able to log in.
Thanks! I was able to login last night without a problem. I’m wondering if the “seconds” are actually “minutes”? That would explain what happened to me yesterday. I know I waited 30 seconds before reattempting yesterday when the specified time was 8 seconds and my attempt failed. But… I’m here now! 😀
So weird! Let me know if you keep getting it, though, and we’ll keep looking into it!
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-Medium with Yellow undertones
Most used eyeshadow palette?
Tartelette in Bloom palette, custom Z-Palette with Makeup Geek and MAC singles.
Least used eyeshadow palette?
Urban Decay Smoked palette.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette?
Tartelette in Bloom palette.
Your skin tone/coloring: light to medium warm
Most used eyeshadow palette? Smashbox Cherry Smoke Photo Op Eyeshadow Palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? Would need to check my stash for that… which I can’t do from Japan 🙂
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I like that the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette that I brought with me is so light because of the cardboard packaging.
Skin Tone: Fair, Neutral Undertones. Mac NC/NW 20, CoverFX N20, Bobbi Brown Porcelain/Sand.
Most Used Eyeshadow Palette: As others have posted I also have an enormous array of palettes that I have been trying to rotate often. My newest are recent Viseart Sultry Muse, Paris Nudes, and Bridal Satin. Although I think my first Viseart palette of Neutral Matte is getting the most use as I regularly use it with shinier eyeshadows like the mac faerie foiled shadows.
Least Used Eyeshadow Palette: Both of these palettes have gorgeous cool tones that would be great on my skin tone I really don’t pick them up. One is the Hourglass modernist pallette with the pretty purples which doesn’t get used for the obvious “its messy and powdery” reasons. The other is surprisingly the Laura Mercier artist palette. I don’t really have the greatest reason, I just don’t want to use it over others.
Most-Travel Friendly Palette: Urban Decay Naked Basics (first one) hands down. I really love this palette. I procured it from a friend. I’ve had it longer than my viseart palette and probably have used this one more. I take it on all trips. It is the perfect range of neutrals and always comes out looking like a great pulled together look. If I want to add a little more something for the trip I’ll throw in a small z-palette with makeup geek foiled shadows or a single or two of something shiny.
Your skin tone/coloring: dark tan – nc 45
Most used eyeshadow palette? naked – ud
Least used eyeshadow palette? naked 3 -ud
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? naked basic – ud
Your skin tone/coloring: Light with yellow undertones (I’m no longer medium *sobs*)
Most used eyeshadow palette? MUFE 9-shadow Artist Palette Vol. 1 Nudes You Need. This palette is friggin fantastic. I also use the shades in there with other singles I’ve purchased. It’s just so versatile, everyday and they last soooo long on my lids (without primer) it’s a little insane…
Least used eyeshadow palette? EVERYTHING ELSE!! I have a small collection going on and haven’t touched the others in ages… including naked 1 +2, ud electric, ud vice 4, ud gwen stefani…ugh I regret purchasing the others and they will be birthday presents for my girlfriends and cousins!
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Same as my favourite/most used 😀 you honestly can’t go wrong with this palette…although my feelings will probably change once I purchase a z palette along with MUG eye-shadows…
Your skin tone/coloring: Fairest neutral. Currently experimenting with Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Foundation in 005 mixed with Illamasqua Skin Base in SB01 (white) and a drop of Rouge Bunny Rouge Sea of Tranquillity highlighter. I’m liking this latest creation. ?
Most used eyeshadow palette? It really varies a lot depending on where I am and what look I fancy but if I had to pick I’d go for my MAC neutral palette that I made about seven years ago! I love all the colours and the they work well together. A close second would be the Z Palette that I have my Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows in along with four Rouge Bunny Rouge matte neutral eyeshadows and an old Stila matte black. Again, very versatile but still wearable despite the colourful eyeshadows. I suppose the MAC palette would be my weekday go-to and the Z Palette would be my weekend go-to!
Least used eyeshadow palette? I have a few I’m neglecting at the moment for different reasons so I’m not entirely sure what to pick. I’ll go with the one that I do really like but just haven’t been using for some reason. It’s a lovely palette so maybe I’ll get it out now that I’m thinking about it. It’s the Ben Nye Grande Lumière palette (the one with 12 colours). The eyeshadow quality is great and the bright colours are beautiful! I’ll need to use this more often. ?
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? For me it would have to be the bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 8.0 palette in The Power Neutrals. Small, sturdy, nice quality eyeshadows and a good sized mirror. This is the one I tend to reach for if I’m travelling.
Your skin tone/coloring: between fair and light; cool undertones with warm features
Most used eyeshadow palette? my self-made ones, hands down! Next up is whichever is newest.
Least used eyeshadow palette? My Vice palettes. They feel big and clunky to get out and use, since I’m standing at my bathroom sink — and I get caught up in trying to figure out how best to use the shades I like less.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? NARS L’Amour, Toujours L’Amour or Ciate London x Olivia Palermo Smouldering, depending on whether I want more neutral or more colorful.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fiar-Light w/ Neutral Undertones
Most used eyeshadow palette? Tarte Tartelette and Tartelette In Bloom
Least used eyeshadow palette? Urban Decay Naked 3 and Too Faced Everything Nice
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Tarte Tartelettes (both)
Your skin tone/coloring: fair neutral in winter, medium warm in summer
Most used eyeshadow palette? Urban Decay Naked
Least used eyeshadow palette? Revealed 2
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Urban Decay Smoked. I love that it zips closed. It feels really secure.
Skin tone: medium light with yellow undertones.
Most used: UD Naked 3, TF Chocolate Bon Bons.
Least used: TF Sugar Pop, KVD Monarch.
Travel-friendly: theBalm Nude Tude
Your skin tone/coloring: light warm – I might have olive tones, I’m trying to figure that out currently
Most used eyeshadow palette? – Too Faced Chocolate Bar or Naked 3
Least used eyeshadow palette? – BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic and Too Faced Semi-Sweet. I hate half of Semi-Sweet but I love a couple of shades from it. I found better colors than the ones in Galaxy Chic. Still love the aesthetics of it though.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? – Naked 3 or Chocolate Bar. Perfect mix of neutrals and shade ranges.
Your skin tone/coloring: Deep/Dark NW50
Most used eyeshadow palette? Pre-made- Anastasia Amrezy/i-made- Coastal Scents hot pots (neutrals)
Least used eyeshadow palette? Smashbox On the Rocks…Never used it!
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? please refer back to most used palette 😉
Your skin tone/coloring: fair warm
Most used eyeshadow palette? Maybelline The Nudes palette simply because I don’t have a ton of time to get ready in the morning as a student so I can grab that palette and know I have an easy look I don’t have to think about- plus some brow powders! The mattes that aren’t as pigmented are great for the brows.
Least used eyeshadow palette? Too Faced Boudoir eyes. I adore the sultry cool tones I just find too many of the shadows end up looking similar on the lid.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? For me, it would be the Maybelline Nudes palette simply because I can multi-task with it but my Z-Palette is definitely my beloved for when I want more customization. Hello, MUG shadows! <3
Your skin tone/coloring: warm-neutral fair
Most used eyeshadow palette? either my neutral makeup geek self made pallete if it is an already made pallete the lorac pro 1
Least used eyeshadow palette? urban decay naked 1
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? lorac pro to go, always take it with me and it has survived a lot of airplane travel and car rides.
Your skin tone/coloring: NW13
Most used eyeshadow palette? Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette
Least used eyeshadow palette? I once bought the Barry M Smokin’ hot palette of which I didn’t like the consistency/quality, so I never use it.
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? I usually just take my Self Made Palette or Chocolate Bar Palette with me… I choose based on what looks I want to wear rather than on how travel-friendly it might be.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair with olive undertone
Most used palette: coastal scents revealed palette
Least used palette: I have a huge e.l.f. palette that I think came in a gift set; the vast majority of the colors are awful but there’s one lovely blue-purple with gold shimmer that I haven’t found a (reasonably priced) alternative for so I use the e.l.f. only when I want that specific color.
Most travel friendly palette: either makeup revolution iconic 1 or wet n wild comfort zone. Both small enough to travel with, both versatile enough to use for a week or two without feeling the need for different colors.
Skin tone : very fair – dark hair – hazelnut eyes
Most used eyeshadow palette : at the same level = Naked 2 palette / Tartelette palette / Too Faced chocolate bar / Smashbox Full Exposure
Least used : Too Faced Love Palette – hardly even touched it
Most travel friendly : Smashbox Double Exposure palette in “travel” size – very very useful
Your skin tone/coloring: light medium, yellow-toned
Most used eyeshadow palette? It really varies bc I use eyeshadow pretty seldom, but for now it would be Sleek’s Storm palette.
Least used eyeshadow palette? WnW 8-pan Color Icon “Blue Had Me at Hello” — not bc its bad but because I dont often reach for blue
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Sleek’s Eye & Cheek palettes work for me!
Your skin tone/coloring: light mostly neutral (NC 20, NARS Alaska TM)
Most used eyeshadow palette? UD Naked 1 but lately I reach more for the Naked2.
Least used eyeshadow palette? The Balm palettes. I have the Nude-tude and the Balm Jovi one, and i think they are really pretty (and I’m a Bon Jovi fan :-)), but I’ve never used them (so ashamed).
Most travel-friendly eyeshadow palette? Naked 2. It has a matte nude, a transition shade, a black and a sturdy packaging.
