Most used moisturizer of all time? There isn’t one for me. I went for years without using moisturizer because I did not understand what hydration was about. I have oily skin and did not think it was necessary. I have been using it for the past few years but whenever I finish the jar or bottle, I try something new because I don’t find any one to be better than any other. I am either using a promo of something or something recently recommended in the drugstore category.

Most used cleanser of all time? That’s so hard to say given my age. It was Clinique soap for about 20 years and I recall repeat buys of Neutrogena liquid and La Roche-Posay Toleriane before I went cruelty free some time in 2017. Since then, it’s constantly changing.

Most used primer of all time? I was really loyal to Benefit PoreFessional before I went cruelty free around 2017. I might have used it for 20 years. Since going cruelty free, I have not bought the same one twice.

Ana Maria Avatar

At first it seemed strange for PoreFessional to be 20 years old… but then I remembered I got my first Benefit brow bar experience 13 years ago, and Benefit come in very late in my home country. šŸ˜… Sometimes I feel old.

Most used moisturizer of all time? probably Embryolisse Creme Concentree
Most used cleanser of all time? Boscia Purifying Cleanser or Peter Thomas Roth Anti Aging Gel but I’ve got a few I like from Clarins, Laneige and Shiseido as well
Most used primer of all time? Toss up time again – either Becca Backlight Priming Filter or the new one I got from Smashbox called Vitamin Glow Primer. I wear both of them with and without foundation because I like how they make my bare skin look.

Most used moisturizer of all time? probably the Hada Labo Shirojyun lotion or Cerave Moisturizing Lotion. I’m nearly out so I’m waiting on an Illiyoon Ceramide Ato cream that I got for a song and I’ve heard great things about it.

Most used cleanser of all time? Murad Time Release Acne cleanser, although I’ve since moved on. There are excellent cleansers that are much cheaper.

Most used primer of all time? I used a few BareMinerals clear primers, though for a year or so now I’ve preferred just using sunscreen as my primer. Although my Purito Centella sunscreen is not effective as a sunscreen, it’s a great primer and I enjoy using it that way once my sunscreen dries. I think I’ll look into the Missha Glow Balm next.

Most used moisturizer of all time? Oh, there’s a few contenders! But if were to limit it to the past 3-4 years, Drunk Elephant Protini Peptide, FAB Ultra Repair Sunscreen Moisturizer (DC’d unfortunately) and Hada Labo Cream Gel something.

Most used cleanser of all time? Aveeno Foaming Cleanser for Sensitive Skin? I think that’s its name, anyways.

Most used primer of all time? Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel! Cheap as chips and works as well as the higher prices alternatives! Another one I use often enough is Smashbox Photo Finish Reduce Redness, because I have roseacea that’s more obvious at certain times of the year.

Most used moisturizer of all time? For overnight, COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream, which was discontinued and seems to have been revamped into Full Fit Propolis Light Cream. I haven’t found a daytime moisturizer that I like enough to stick with yet. I used to not use any moisturizer for a long time (because I am oily) or use Clinique Dramatically Different Gel, which I hate for many reasons.

Most used cleanser of all time? La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser and Clinique Take the Day Off Balm. I feel like I’ve only recently started paying attention enough to skincare to stick with something that isn’t going to strip my skin completely of oil. When I was younger and uneducated on how to treat my skin, I would strip my skin with the Clinique 3 step soaps. This made the oiliness worse…

Most used primer of all time? I don’t use facial primers. Eye primer, NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base in Original is the only one that I use.

Most used moisturizer of all time? Farmacy Honey Drop.

Most used cleanser of all time? Burt’s Bees Brightening (discontinued, still trying to find a new one I like).

Most used primer of all time? I jump between whatever I find interesting at he time I need to re-purchase. The only one I’ve ever bought twice was Urban Decay Optical Illusion (which is also now discontinued uuughhhhh).

Your skin tone/colouring: Light medium, yellow undertones. Dark brown hair & eyes.

Most used moisturizer of all time? Embryolisse Lait Creme.

Most used cleanser of all time? I switch cleansers like the lead in Nascar but the Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm is something I ALWAYS revert back to.

Most used primer of all time? Milani eye primer for eyeshadow and Anna Sui gel foundation primer for face.

Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 20

Most used moisturizer of all time? Olay Moisturizer. Either the pink one or the one with SPF. Classic for a reason!

Most used cleanser of all time? Cera Ve. The one for oily skin

Most used primer of all time. Don’t really have one since I don’t really believe in primers. If we are talking for eyeshadow, the MAC paint pot in soft ochre. If we are talking face primer, I haven’t really found one that does much of anything!

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Most used moisturizer of all time? For a long time I did use Olay’s Revitalist (which I still purchase from time to time) and L’Oreal’s Age Perfect, but again I have branched out to try different brands – a favourite was Immortal’s Age Defying cream (now d/c), A’kin’s Night cream, Skin Physics Night time cream and for day, I do like Dragon’s Blood daily moisturising cream, Neutragena’s Hydro Boost.
Above all, I have been consistently using Argon Oil (or Chia or Hemp) – either by Swisse and now The Ordinary.

Most used cleanser of all time? I swap around my cleansers all the time now – but the brands I consistently buy from are: CeraVe’s Hydrating cleanser, Swisse Sweet Almond Cleanser, Essano’s Rosehip cleanser and I quite like Andalou’s cleanser too. For decades I did use Simple’s, but as I have aged, I do tend to purchase cream cleansers for my skin.

Most used primer of all time? Nude by Nature’s Airbrush primer is the best one I have ever used and I have been using it consistently for the past 4 years, with multiple purchases.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair neutral

Most used moisturizer of all time? not exactly moisturizer but I used an olive oil/water mixture for nearly a decade when I met a 65 year old woman who had the most glorious skin I’d ever seen and that’s what she’d been doing her whole life

Most used cleanser of all time? same – olive oil is a terrific cleanser – just don’t get it in your eyes and be prepared to smell like salad

Most used primer of all time? varies, not important – any moisturizer will act as primer

Most used moisturizer of all time: this is a weird one, but I’ve had really good long term results using Bath and Bodyworks Coco Shea Cucumber Aloe Gel Lotion on my facial skin. It’s light but nourishing and can be used as a depuffing eye gel too.
Most used cleanser of all time:

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with warm yellow undertone, dark brown hair and eyes

Your skin type (considering this relevant to the survey): Combination, dry cheeks and around the mouth, I get oily slightly easily, occasional breakouts even in my 30s

Most used moisturizer of all time?
For night time moisturizer I usually switch a lot, I am not that picky as long it’s a basic moisturizing fragrance free formula; most times I don’t even buy one, I get plenty minis as gifts for purchase.
For daytime I always use moisturizer with SPF and the most used is clearly Paula’s Choice RESIST
Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50.

Most used cleanser of all time? It’s either Paula’s Choice SKIN RECOVERY
Softening Cream Cleanser (to which I return each time my face gets really dry), or La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel or Cleanser (my goto-s when I tend to be more oily).

Most used primer of all time? Can’t even remember how many bottles of Hourglass Mineral Veil I went through, given that I used to easily get minis and sample sizes… but it’s still my favorite primer.

Most used moisturizer of all time? I change it up all the time depending on how my skin is acting.
Most used cleanser of all time? I’m changing all the time, my skin has changed so I’m trying new ones.
Most used primer of all time? I struggled so much when my skin turned drier, nothing was working, creasing, caking, makeup disappearing, streaking, it was a nightmare. I came upon a tube of Heir Atelier primer in my drawer and it has fit right into my routine my makeup stays on perfectly for hours I don’t even look in a mirror while I’m out anymore. I haven’t checked, I hope they still stock it!

Your skin tone/coloring: Fairer end of Light and pinkedy pink.
Most used moisturizer of all time? Of all time, it would actually be Bio Oil, which I put on my face. For real moisturizer, Weleda Skin Food.
Most used cleanser of all time? Cetaphil, (for all skin types).
Most used primer of all time? I’m just barely exploring makeup primer thoroughly, but i used Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water because it was easy and I understood how to use it. (Like, just spray your face, haha).

While don’t think much of face primer, I do use eyeshadow primer religiously and my favorites are the Tom Ford pot (now discontinued) and the Natasha Denona, which is creamy and easy to apply. I didn’t understand e/s primers and never used them until about 2.5 years ago and it’s changed my e/s game a lot. The colors are more vibrant and last so much longer. I even avoid creasing with some shadows, which is a miracle, since my eyes are deeply hooded and oily to boot.
