The last beauty item I returned was my Studio Fix Fluid because they gave me the wrong shade so I just exchaned it for the right one so I don’t know if that technically counts. The last one I did returned for my money back was the MAC Stacked pigments in the pinks and purples because I got them and didn’t wear them and my rule is if three weeks go by and I don’t use it…its getting returned
The last lipstick a wore was a orangy light pink from Lancome L’ABSOLU ROUGE, and the last eyeshadow I bought was a brown one from Urban Decay.
I have probably never returned a beauty product since they always seems to be non-refundable.

wow that’s surprising – I think you are the first person that I have come across that hated UDPP… Personally, I didn’t care for the Sin version or the latest Matte version, but the original is my must have e/s primer…
I hate UDPP too! it made my eyes sting at first and it did not improve the look of my eyeshadow.
the stinging happened to me but at the time i thought it was because the tube was somewhat old and hadn’t used it in a while. i use too faced shadow insurance now. mostly because the packaging is so easy to work with.
ooh! I’ll have to check out Shadow Insurance. =)

Lipstick- lovelorn w/cultured lipglass.. Eyeshadow- Spring Colour 1 Forecast plus wedge. I returned Chanel Rouge just did no like. Christine you are right about lipsticks. I have lips that are very pink in color and I have trouble with color. The ladies at the counters say that is good, but at times it can be frustrating getting that perfect color.

Lancome’s Rouge Absolu lipstick in Caprice 132, an absolutely stunning, satin-y red; topped off with Chanel Glossimer in Myriade.

Can’t remember the last one I bought, it might have been Chanel Bois Bleu, but the last one I received was the Urban Decay Book of Shadows over the holidays. That was a great present.

Up till 6 months ago, I lived in a place that didn’t have a returns policy on cosmetics (barring exceptions like allergic reactions), so I always made sure I really liked something before I bought it. Now I’m living in a place that has a pretty lenient returns policy but old habits die hard. I still take forever to make up my mind.

Last beauty item returned. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge and Philosophy’s Falling in Love body spritz. Both bought from QVC. I ordered the Cabo Coral, but they sent me Pale Pink (not a good look) and the FIL spritz is hard to find, and well, mine smelled like rubbing alcohol. Not FIL. Hopefully the correct items will be sent this time around.
*side note* Not sure what is going on with Philosophy, but IMO the products have taken a nose dive since Christina sold her company. I wonder if she even has any input left with Philosophy, and she is never on QVC anymore. I think it is time for me to part ways with Philosophy. Their products are just not up to snuff anymore. 🙁 *

yeah! i cant stand lipglosses that have such a heavy taste and smell. i hate anything that fruity or anything thats too cake battery. i love mac l/s and lipgloss but i absolutely hate the smell/taste of bare essentuals new natural lipglosses. they taste like carmel plastic. YUCK! i wish they went back to their buxom minty ones!i like those.

Item returned? MAC expensive pink-I meant to get paradisco, since i already OWN expensive pink. For the most part, I vet my choices so thoroughly before I buy that I don’t return things very often at all.

~Does an exchange count?!?!? I recently exchanged an MSFN. I use it in a darker color for my contour and they have me too dark of a color! So I exchanged a medium-deep for a medium dark.

Hmm, none? I take my time for research before I buy and, honestly, I’ve never regretted a product immediately to return it the next day. Regret always comes after I’ve used the product for some time, and by that time I just suck it up and use it up and swear to never buy it again. Now, the one I regret buying the most at the moment is Benefit’s Some kind-a gorgeous foundation. It will be gone in a couple of days 😉
Ahhh I regret that Benefit product too but my store won’t take it back 🙁 it looks so orange on me! Darn those in store neon lights!!

Last beauty product returned: Tarte’s Holiday Cheek Stain minis. Forget the name but they were super scratchy on my skin so I returned them to Sephora which was such a shame bc the colours were so pretty. When I told the cashier why I was returning them she said well that’s strange, nobody else has had that complaint. Which annoyed me as it felt like she thought I was lying and I have never returned anything to that store before, or anywhere really. Although 9/10 times I get a rude employee there so I stopped going to that store and will now go further away to avoid them! 🙁

What was the last beauty item you returned? NYX Slim eye pencil in Purple. I have one of these eye pencils in the color Sapphire and it runs smoothly, giving a lot of color, but for some reason this didn’t happen with Purple. :/

urban decay liquid eyeliner in i think its called stash- the olive green one. it barely showed up, very sheer , had to reapply without it showing a clear line . i also didnt like the packaging, the e.s product always got all over on the sides. i do love their eye liners. i have all the travels sets – trying to build up my color collection from those without buying them full price, i cant wait for some more to come out this holiday! =)

I need to know something.. How can you return a product in america when its been opened and used?? Are there any rules? What do they do with the product? Because obviously they cant sell it again
I have! They usually send it back to a warehouse/HQ/a specified area and I believe it gets recycled.
Once I went to Macy’s to return MAC MSF in Warm Blend. I accidently bought 2, so the 1 that I returned was brand new. The lady taking the return told me that they crush the products so they show considerable damage, or else they won’t be allowed to be returned. There were other details, something about Macy’s being a reseller, not the actual MAC store. Isn’t that sad??? I regret returning it, just thinking about hurting that poor defensless MSF!!
