Your skin tone/coloring: Light olive
Favorite every day sunscreen? Olay Regenerist Regenerating Lotion SPF 50 for my face every day, Neurogena Dry Touch SPF 55 in the summer for the rest. I don’t tend to burn, but there is a genetic pre-disposition to skin cancer on one side of my family.
Is face primer essential? Not for me.
Cream blush or powder blush? Powder. Clinique Cheek pops are still my favorite.

Mariella Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Favorite every day sunscreen? for my face, either Australian Gold tinted or Lise Watier SunSmart (what an excellent product that is)
Is face primer essential? no, but I do like using it (very often, all on its own)
Cream blush or powder blush? Powder blush. I like cream blushes but I find powder so much quicker and easier for achieving a natural look.

Ha,you guys. I squeeze slightly less than enough Paula + add the AG. For dog walks/staying home the AG in early morning and Elta MD tinted the rest of the day. Body: well, if I’m not sun intolerant this year, Elta MD or Blue Lizard. Physical with no chems mandatory.

Favorite every day sunscreen? I try different ones all the time. Currently I am using Thank You Farmer Light Sun Essence 50 spf and I like it a lot. I have also liked various things from the Isdin range and I have an UltraViolette chemical one waiting. I buy them online because I want the newest filters. None of these have a white cast and they look good under makeup.

Is face primer essential? For me, yes, because I have some large pores, lines and texture but I think that someone with smooth skin would not need it

Cream blush or powder blush. I wear both depending on how my skin is looking.

Your skin tone/coloring: Light medium with warm yellow undertone, dark brown hair and eyes

Favorite every day sunscreen? I’m a sucker for Paula’s Choice sunscreen (although I also like a lot of options from La Roche Possay. For the face my top option is the RESIST
Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50, especially under makeup.
For my body (and sometimes face during hikes or runs, to not carry multiple products) I just slather the Extra Care Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 50.

Is face primer essential? Definitely not mandatory, but pretty much essential for me. And I’m not talking about necessarily a face primer in the conventional form, but more of how I prep my skin before makeup. Because a silicone base serum or a matte sunscreen can just work as well as a primer.
I do feel the need of something between the skin and foundation, it’s like priming a wall or a canvas, makeup always applies better on a good foundation.

Cream blush or powder blush? Always powder when it comes to cheek products!

Favorite every day sunscreen? Supergoop glowscreen and LRP sunscreen. I mix the two together.. supergoop on its own is too intense for me.
Is face primer essential? Yes, but only in small areas where I have visible pores. If I am not wearing foundation, I will wear a bit of blurring pore primer to smooth out the look of my complexion.
Cream blush or powder blush? I still remain a powder blush fan

YOUR SKIN TONE/COLORING: Under my name; burgundy hair; hazel/green eyes.

FAVORITE EVERY DAY SUNSCREEN? I’ll wear whatever on my body. Nutrogena Ultra-Sheer Dry Touch, but now I can’t wear chemical sunscreen on my face due to rosacea. I don’t remember off the top of my head what brand the dermatologist wants me to wear.

IS FACE PRIMER ESSENTIAL? For me it is, but I don’t think it is for everyone. I have oily skin that oxidizes and/or melts makeup off quickly.

CREAM BLUSH OR POWDER BLUSH? I use both, but prefer powder (or cream-to-powder). It works better with my oily skin. If I wear a cream, it has to dry down completely. I like Natasha Denona’s or Fenty Cheeks Out cream blushes best.

Helene Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Above, dark brown hair, gray-green eyes
Favorite every day sunscreen? I don’t think I have a favourite, right now I use Dr Dennis Gross SPF 50
Is face primer essential? Unfortunately, yes, I need something to help keep the skin from getting oily, or rather not getting oily so quickly, I also like to blur the pores.
Cream blush or powder blush? Powder, I very rarely use anything else.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)

Favorite every day sunscreen? For my face and neck, Farmacy Green Defence Daily Mineral Sunscreen.

Is face primer essential? Oh my goodness, yes! I loathe my large pores pooling up with foundation if for some stupid reason I don’t use a primer underneath.

Cream blush or powder blush? My preference is definitely for powder blush, but I have several cream blushes I cannot imagine not having at my disposal! Especially, Fenty Rose Latte and ND Love Mini Duo pink blush.

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favorite every day sunscreen? My very favourites are: Skin Doctors moisturiser with SPF 50+, La Roche Posay’s SPF 50+ and a Neutragena Hydro Moist SPF 50+ – and I rotate them.

Is face primer essential? For me it is. I don’t generally use it in lockdown, but otherwise I do. It makes my foundation and eyeshadow last all day and in a better condition than otherwise.

Cream blush or powder blush? Powder blush always – it’s much easier for me to apply and I like the matte finish.

Lili Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light Neutral
Favorite every day sunscreen? Evy Technology Daily Defense Mousse spf 50
Is face primer essential? For me – not at all (dry, relatively good skin)
Cream blush or powder blush? Both.

Kimberly Avatar

Favorite every day sunscreen? Contrary to popular opinion, I actually prefer the Supergoop! Play sunscreen to the Unseen

Is face primer essential? No makeup is truly “essential” to me, but if I happen to have one on hand I will use a face primer

Cream blush or powder blush? I do like both, but I tend to buy more powder blushes as opposed to creams because of how quickly they’ve turned on me

Favorite every day sunscreen: NIVEA Sun High Adhesion Care UV Milky GEL SPF50 PA++++, now sadly discontinued and the new version is not oily skin friendly so moving on to Biore and also trying out Caudalie Anti-Wrinkle Face Suncare SPF50 as it’s more accessible locally to me.

Is face primer essential: I use mattifying primer on the oily areas before foundation (powder or liquid) so they last longer however sunscreen as primer on normal skin areas works well.

Cream blush or powder blush: Powder works well on top of any product for me where I can’t make cream blush work with powder foundation. Favourite blushes are Iced Lotus from Clinique, Paris Skies and Pink Lemonade from Sydney Grace.

Skin tone/coloring:
Light neutral
Favorite every day sunscreen:
For running I use an Ombrelle sport 60 SPF then wash it off in the shower and use a TARTE sunscreen (30 SPF) I’ve found plays nice with foundation. I bought it last year and it no longer exists it seems. My IT Cosmetics CC+ cream has a 50 SPF so honestly I prefer that on my face.
Is face primer essential:
Likely not, but for me yes I wear it daily. I prefer the extra hydration and slip.
Cream blush or powder blush:
Both. If I’m feeling too dewy (depending on what’s in/on my base) then I like to tamp that down with powder. If I want that natural glow then cream. I’m 50/50 these days but recently found a couple powders in my stash I’d forgotten about and have been reaching for them.

Rhonda Avatar

I love my Australian Gold, but in the spring & summer I break out from the heat, so I go for the L’Oreal Age Perfect CC with SPF 50 (my dad had one skin cancer after the other) . Honestly though, I just started wearing sunscreen all year long about 5 years ago.
Primer isn’t a necessity until you get real wrinkles! Since I’m older, I remember that primer is a relatively new invention. Before that, we would have just said the foundation sucks if it requires primer. But since I hit 60, I do use it for my T-zone.
I normally prefer powder blush, because the cream ones sometimes turn orange on me and if it’s hot, they like to travel over time–my cell phone, the car interior, etc. and down to my lower face. Uncool.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/light, cool toned
Favorite every day sunscreen? I’m between favorites but right now I’m using Sun Bum Face 50
Is face primer essential? Not essential but I have uneven texture on my face and it helps me even that out some.
Cream blush or powder blush? Generally I reach for powder but I have a couple of cream blushes that I like, too.
