Most Common Beauty Mistake: It’s a tie! Wrong foundation shade or overplucked eyebrows.
Your last beauty faux pas: Ummm, I guess heavy black eyeliner in the daytime. I use brown now.
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops: No, not unless they’re a close friend.
Wrong foundation shade makes me so sad 🙁
1.- Overplucked eyebrows
2.- Clumpy mascara :S
3.- No, I’d feel awful!
I do clumpy mascara all the time, you’re not the only one who’s done that lately!
Most Common Beauty Mistake: People using the wrong foundation
Your last beauty faux pas: Probably a dark smoky eye with red lips.
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: Only if they’re a close friend.
I bet you looked damn hot with your dark smoky eye and red lips 😉
Most Common Beauty Mistake: sperm shaped eyebrows
Your last beauty faux pas: biting my nails 😮
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: just smile.
I gnaw on my nails from time to time, too 🙁
Most common beauty mistake: wrong shade of foundation – usually too pink! Or heavy black liner all around the eye with no other makeup on fair/blonde girls. 🙁
Your last beauty mistake: gah, my eyebrows being too dark or the wrong shade, since they are so blonde I have to fill them in all the time.
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: I don’t, but I really, really want to! Usually I point it out to whomever I’m with later.
I fill my brows in, too! I feel they look way better that way.
Most Common Beauty Mistake: mistmatched foundation, over plucked eyebrows or not wearing sunscreen
Your last beauty faux pas: Probably a shiny t-zone
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: Sure, I just told my coworker she had lipstick on her teeth – if you are friendly about it they know you are just looking out for them!
I find it easier to tell friends, but not strangers about a beauty oops!
Most common Mistake: using a exfoliate itself as the cleanser instead of first cleaning your skin THEN exfoliate.
Your last beauty faux pas: using harsh chemicals on my skin like Neutrogena or any of those cheap drug store brands for treating my acne concerns. Yea….I had a pizza face for two weeks.
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: I don’t. I don’t want them to get uncomfortable or targeted.
Neutrogena has always worked pretty well for me on acne, it makes me sad it didn’t work well for you!
Most Common Beauty Mistake: Not protecting your skin with SPF!
Your last beauty faux pas: Forgetting mascara! I had my whole face done except for naked lashes!
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: Only if I know them, but I want to! I usually ask my BF “should I tell her…?” and he says “you don’t even know her, just leave her alone!”
Agreed on the SPF mistake!
I have SO done the mascara thing. I kept looking at myself in the mirror thinking–hmm…weird…this eyeshadow usually looks great on me…why is it so ugly today?
1-My eyeliner is never even. One eye will be thick while the other is hardly noticeable. Or my lines aren’t straight 🙁
2-My daytime eye was a little too much for work, but it would’ve looked great for a date
3-Depends who the person is…
Most Common Beauty Mistake: not properly blending foundation
Your last beauty faux pas: un-plucked eyebrows
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops: depends on who it is. If it’s a perfect stranger, no.
I’m with you on the last one – I don’t point out those things to strangers!
Most Common Beauty Mistake(s): I’ll try to keep it too my top five
using bronzer all over the face so you look like a muddy mess
over/under tweezed brows
not replacing mascara every 3 months
using studio fix with the sponge & not changing it out every 2 weeks & leaving it on top of the powder and you wonder why you’re breaking out, seriously??
ST Ives Apricot Scrub will tear your face apart–why not just scrub your face with broken glass?
Your last beauty faux pas:
I don’t really have them but one time I was wearing a red prolongwear and eating chicken wings and my sister didn’t tell me it was gone in the middle of my lip. I should’ve checked myself since people don’t seem to have the nerve to say hey you night want to fix that
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?
Of course, it’s my job!
If they look like they did it on purpose, it’s harder to address but I’ve gotten very good at saying “Can I show you a different way to do…”
If it’s something like smudged lipstick or mascara, a tag sticking out, something on their shoe or in their hair–I’m going to say something–it’d be rude not to.
I avoid using compact foundations just ’cause of the sponge issue. Grosses me out!
Most Common Beauty Mistake: not letting my mascara dry before i put my glasses on.
Your last beauty faux pas: not blending my foundation well enough
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: only if i know them well. if not, no.
LOL, awww!! I can just envision the problems of wet mascara and glasses 🙁
Most Common Beauty Mistake: using foundation/powder too light for skin tone
Your last beauty faux pas: using silvers and purples too bright for day time
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: yes if they’re my friend
Seems like foundation is the most common!
Most Common Beauty Mistake: Overplucked brows
Your last beauty faux pas: Bad chignon flying loose strands
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: nope
Poor overplucked brows! Boy do I know that one well.
Most Common Beauty Mistake: Wrong foundation
Your last beauty faux pas: I try not to make them lol!
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: Only if its someone I know really well.
I think wrong foundation is clearly the most common after reading all the surveys!
Most Common Beauty Mistake: Overplucked eyebrows / badly plucked. I can’t tell you enough how much this makes me squirm.
Your last beauty faux pas: not blending enough. I piled on some pigment and it was not smooth at all.
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: If you don’t know the person, then no. You never know if that person is sensitive or if they can take it badly. Basically, it’s not really your business unless they ask for your opinion. If it’s a friend, then yes, delicately mention an alternative. I once made my friend purchase an eyebrow pencil and told her to stop plucking!
You did your friend a favor by telling her to lay off the plucking!
1.Most common beauty mistake:Wrong lipstick shade. I put this up there with overplucked brows. Dark lippies age you!!
Beauty faux pas: I’ve been biting my fingernails lately. I haven’t done that for years. 🙁
Do I tell? Hmmm.. if it’s lipstick on the teeth I might give a lil gesture depending on who it is or if I’m in a Ladies Room and notice I’m more likely to tell.
Case in point. I was at a wedding and a woman came out of the stall her dress tucked into the back of her panty hose and a huge run of TP flowing out of her hose like a train. No one said a word about that mess for 5 minutes while she fixed her makeup. Finally someone stopped her before she went out the door. She shamed each and everyone of us in the room for not telling her.
LOL, that poor woman! I think definitely gotta tell someone when it’s THAT bad.
1. Mismatched foundation (e.g. foundation not matching skin tone)
2. Waiting an extra week to re-wax my eyebrows!
3. Normally, I’ll consider just how bad the mistake is prior to informing them.
I’m definitely guilty of letting my ‘brows go too long 🙁
Most Common Beauty Mistake: Using the wrong foundation shade
Your last beauty faux pas: letting my brows get a tad unruly!
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: Uhmm that’s hard! It depends who it is.
Totally guilty of the unruly brows thing too, Fairy!
Most Common Beauty Mistake: Not exfoliating lips (winter here is so harsh that so many people have chapped lips)
Your last beauty faux pas: Unplucked brows (I’ve been meaning to go get my brows waxed but got too lazy)
Do you tell others if they have a glaring beauty oops?: Nope. I already have a reputation of being too overbearing and forcing my ideals on others so I don’t anymore (even if I’m itching to do so and even if it’s for their own good)
Aww! Chapped lips suck 🙁 I’m addicted to lip exfoliation!
