Worst – Green Lipstick. I know it changes color but… really?
Favorite – The Sephora by OPI Collection that was released this season, given to a friend. She loves nail polishes and teared up when she saw it. Mission accomplish (:

Worst I have recieved: Nail Polsih, since I dont use it EVER
Favorite I have given: A Paint pot to my sister,and a selection of different products mostly various eyeliners and mascara to my lil sister who is just developing an interest in cosmetics 🙂

Best beauty gift you’ve ever received? Now that I think of it, I’m the only person who buys makeup for myself. But to think really hard for anything at all, a pink Sephora brush set.
Worst beauty gift you’ve ever received? Sephora lipgloss palette. I cannot stand lipgloss palettes!
Favorite beauty gift you’ve given? aerie eyeshadow palette in Glam (blues & browns) for my sister in law. She LOVED playing with mine so I grabbed one for her. It made her so happy 🙂
Best: MAC warm thrillseekers pigments this year (even though one of my friend didnt know what it was and thouhgt i’d just like the box!)
WORST: not much, only the cheapo ones which people get when they run out of ideas
FAVOURITE: i made an eyeshadow palette for one of my friends with stars makeup haven eyeshadows and personalized it specifically for her
best gift: 2 christmases ago my mom gave me a MAC 15-palette with 6 shadows. i had wanted to start collecting MAC shadows for months and it was an awesome surprise! i’m now at 49 shadows!
worse gift: terrible old-lady-smelling perfume. IMO perfume is the worse idea for a gift as scent is a matter of highly personal taste.
fave gift given: i love giving my friends MAC lipsticks as stocking stuffers.

Worst beauty gift you’ve ever received? A Macy’s brand ES palette…powdery frosty zero pigment…didn’t even know Macy’s had their own makeup. It was probably a gift w/ purchase of some sort.

Worst: Nothing beauty related. Aren’t I lucky? Most confusing was an archery set (bow and arrows) from my father. What?
Favorite: A bottle of RBL Catherine H. for my mother. Her name is Catherine and last name starts with H. She thought I’d gotten a nail polish company to name the polish after her. Awwwwwww.
Best: I was given a handful of stuff from the Venomous Villains collection for my birthday this past October. I was really happy and surprised!
Worst: I don’t think I’ve gotten anything I would consider bad, to be honest. When I was really young, I got a cheapo makeup set with several different colors of lipstick (green and blue included). I liked to play around with it for fun as a kid and I knew how silly the stuff looked on me so I never wore it in public. I enjoyed it at the time, but if I received something like that today, I’d say WTF. Haha.
Favorite: The only beauty things I give are bath gift baskets. I’m too paranoid to pick out makeup items for other people.

Best Given – It’s hard to pick just one, either the Sephora Mascara Minis set or the Fresh Brown Sugar gift set

No one actually dares buy me makeup (I don’t know why, LOL!) but I do like to buy myself a Chanel Glossimer for my birthday each year though. The BEST one was probably a Dior Cannage Lipstick Palette though, the compact packaging is to die for!
Worst beauty gift ever received?
A Revlon Pink Happiness perfume gift set from my brothers girlfriend for my birthday one year. She bought me what *she* liked.
Favorite beauty gift you’ve given?
Oooh, I gave my favourite aunt a Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick for Christmas and she LOVED it. She squealed and then cried a little and then hugged me so hard. Best feeling ever.
Best beauty gift you’ve ever received? I love getting the new juicy couture fragrance each year. I also love this dove gift set I got this year. And I remember when I was little I would love getting the lipsmaker holiday set

Best beauty gift you’ve ever received: When the MAC slimshines were first released, the BF bought me 4 of them (Bare, Gaily, Prudeaux, and Funshine). Until this day, these are the colors I reach for the most. 🙂
Worst beauty gift you’ve ever received: A friend bought make up from a vendor outside a grocery store for my birthday. Bless her heart, I love the thought, considering she knew I collected beauty products. Unfortunately, the make up she gave me broke me out like it was no body’s business. 🙁
Favorite beauty gift you’ve given: For my cousins 13th Birthday, I bought her a MAC travel brushes. She loved them, and since, her make up has looked so much more flawless.
Best Beauty Gift ever received – all of the gorgeous perfume sets that my friends have bought for me!
Worst – Bath and Body Works Velvet Tuberose perfume – absolutely disgusting scent.
Favorite – I have a few – it’s hard to pick one. But I recently surprised a good friend with a big bag of beauty goodies – makeup, makeup brushes, bath and body products – it was one of my best beauty gifts ever!

Best beauty gift you’ve ever received? When I was 17, my mother’s friend gave me a set of GWP Chenel brushes which I used till I was in my mid-30s.
Worst beauty gift you’ve ever received? A cheapy eyeshadow dollar store palette, which I re-gifted to my god daughter so she could play “make up” with me when she comes to visit.
Favorite beauty gift you’ve given? This year, I gave my best friend a couple of MAC blushes, the 88 Warm Palette and set of travel brushes and she cried (and so did I) and it was the best birthday celebration I have ever had and it wasn’t my birthday.

worst:My last birthday I got a ped egg along with some yucky old coconut lip gloss and a chalky pink and blue eyeshadow palette.
favorite:mac’s nude rose lipstick to my mom, she loves and wears it almost everyday 😀
Best – A shoe box full of Asian makeup, I cant tell you any of the names but it was so much fun to play with. For familiar products I really liked my Dior foundation given to me by a friend for college graduation.
Worst – Green mascara with beige glitter — thats the only way I can describe it!
Favorite – I gave a Clarisonic this Christmas to my best friend. She freaked out!
* Best beauty gift you’ve ever received? – My sister did get me this palette of glitters just this Christmas. It was Hot Topic branded, and I was afraid it was going to be suspended in vaseline-y goop, and I just smiled and hoped I could make it work somehow. Turns out, it’s just really packed well dry glitter that comes off like it’s loose. So add some Pixie Epoxy and I’ll be good to go! 😀
* Worst beauty gift you’ve ever received? – My mother has a habit of buying me horribly cheap eyeshadow palettes as stocking stuffers. I spent years thinking powder eyeshadows were all horrible and stuck to cream shadows.
* Favorite beauty gift you’ve given? – Well, she might secretly disagree, but I hunted down the Naked palette for my mom’s last birthday, because she’d never splurge on that for herself. And I wanted her to try something NICE. (Also, I was beginning to think she wouldn’t know good eyeshadow if it hit her in the face–however, I still had a horrible cheap eyeshadow palette stuck in my stocking for Christmas after that…)
Best – Clarisonic Mia! My mom got it for me for Christmas and I just love it. I never would have purchased it for myself because of the price tag.
Worst – Philosophy Mint Chocolate Cookie body wash. It smells great in the bottle and in theory it sounds wonderful but something about slathering yourself in a dense, cakey scent just doesn’t work for me.
Given – I gave my sister a Shady Lady by theBalm palette. I so wanted to keep it for myself.

People obviously think that just because I love makeup, I’ll love everything. And I don’t. Why would I want to wear dark purple lipstick which makes me look like I died a year ago?
Favorite beauty gift you’ve given?
It might not sound like a lot but I bought my best friend a bottle of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. She was really lusting after it but had a hard time finding it. I secretely searched on my own and found it; the look on her face when I gave it to her made it al worth it :).
In addition: My boyfriend also gave me the stuff I wanted from the Venomous Vilains collection for my birthday; really sweet, especially considering the fact that he contacted a friend in Canada to get it there because it wasn’t available yet in Holland at that time 🙂
