What’s your go-to nail polish base coat? I never use a base coat. I’ve tried many, and they all made application more difficult for me and shortened the wear of my polish.
What’s your go-to nail polish remover? I like the ones that come in a jar you can dip your fingers in, no real brand preference at this point.
Top coat: Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed-It gets gloopy toward the end, but I have problems with chipping, and this really does help. I like to reapply it the second day after doing my nails and maybe again a day or two later to extend my manicure.
Base: Zoya Anchor or Sally Hansen nail strengthening base coat
Remover: Zoya, but I’m not picky

What’s your go-to nail polish base coat? 1st on is European Secrets Rock Hard followed by step 2; Nail-Aid 1 Minute Gel.
What’s your go-to nail polish remover? Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish remover, I think it’s called. It’s gentle, which my less than youthful nails now need, as I have several that peel and split on me.
Hmmm I haven’t figured out if i’m warm or cool toned, since I wear both cool and warm colors. At this point, doubt I ever will. Maybe i’m more neutral tonned? I’m fair skinned with dark brown hair and eyes.
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is where it’s at. I wholeheartedly agree with Seraphine, that stuff is amazing. As far as a base coat and remover, whatever’s on sale. I tried the Sticky base coat before but, it turns my nailbeds that funky yellow color so i’m no longer a fan. I felt it helped my polish adhere better too so i’m disapointed about my yellow nails. Personally, thats a big reason why I bother with a base coat on the nails. It keeps my nails from yellowing amongst a few other things. Just grabbed a Sally Hensen “no light needed” gel polish. You don’t use a base coat. Just 2-3 coats of color, let dry and follow with the top coat. Supposed to last up to 14 days chip free. We shall see I guess. I’m cautiously optimistic!

Top coat- OPI Plumping, Volumizing Top Coat. On my second bottle, I love the effect, it makes every polish look like a gel manicure plus it dries quickly.
Base coat- Nailtiques Formula 3. I tend to have dry nails that get brittle and want to split. This has fixed all that for me. Even though it can be up there in price it is worth it.
Remover- Zoya

What’s your go-to nail polish top coat? KB Shimmer Clearly On Top, Glisten and Glow HK girl top coat, Dazzle Dry top coat or OPI top coat. I’ve been getting shrinkage with Seche Vite fast drying top coat – maybe mine is old?
What’s your go-to nail polish base coat? KB Shimmer Basic Training, Floss Gloss Bassline, Superchic Lacquer Bring It On! base coat, UNT peel off base coat (only if I’m doing glitter or heavy shimmer), and OPI base coat. I alternate between these randomly.
What’s your go-to nail polish remover? Pure acetone – I get the 16 oz. sizes 6 at a time from Amazon.
