Ideal beauty / makeup sale : Any professional full sized brush set sales at MAC, Sephora lipgloss set sales: like stila or NARS, and of course when lancome does the gift with purchase promo.
How to resist a sale: I CAN’T! It’s awful 🙁

what brands do I want to see go on sale: Tarte (because I love their stuff and they are really overpriced), MAC (so I can finish my brush set), Benefit, Philosophy – because I use there skin care.

My ideal sale is anything MAC. I have an unhealthy love for MAC. Would love to be able to B2M other products, like foundation, and exchange them for a credit towards anything, not just lipgloss/eyeshadow/lipstick! Then I could work towards affording some of those brushes I’m drooling over.
How to resist a sale: If there’s nothing I feel I have to have at the moment. Also, looking at my current collection of make up :S

I think a sale should be at least 30% off. Anything less and you aren’t really getting a bargain. The money wise side of me says to look at other factors as well, like shipping cost, minimum purchase, and of course necessity. Though, for me “necessity” is easily justifiable and I don’t do a very good job listening to my inner frugalista. I wish YSL would have a friends and family sale for their summer collection.

A sale that didn’t have a ton of fine print and only if you buy this with that type thing. Ughh makes me so mad when they trick people! I just want an honest sale.
How do you resist a sale?
By not having a steady income lol. I will resist one if its not over 30 or 40%. Once you factor in tax and or shipping those little 15% things aren’t so amazing. If its a outrageous sale then there is no stopping me.
What beauty brand would you love to see go on sale?
MAC of course, Urban Decay, Tarte, and maybe one of the high end lines. I would love to try something from them.

How to resist a sale: It’s hard to resist! I try not to go overboard but some how I can always justify it
Brands to go on sale: MAC because I would like to buy a few more brushes. Like 109, 188, 252 (maybe) and another 217.
and Guerlain. I have been dying to try so many things by them.
Ideal beauty sale is at least 40% off (50% or more is even better) on brands like MAC, Makeup Forever, Illamasqua, Benefit, Bare Escentuals, Dior.
I resist a sale if the discount is not deep enough for me. Sephora had 15% off VIB coupon, and I thought that was really low (compare to last years 30%), so I did not buy anything.
Brands I would love to see on sale: MAC, Makeeup Forever, Dior.
Mac should develop a program where they have a reward system (like Sephora or better), since Mac can be costly and having no reward at all sucks big time.

Ideal sale: I love “Buy one, get one free” sales. When I want to buy something, I often torn between two shades so it’s a nice bonus.
Resisting sales: hardly a problem. I don’t buy anything unless I love it, even when things are “on sale.”

I LOVE THESE QUESTIONS!!!
1) 30% off, but I’m thrilled with 20%. I would love to be able to test every single product by walking outside and in a mock-evening setting. It’s just not fun ordering everything. So often by the time we receive the package and decide that a color is not suitable, the sale is over or your ideal colors are out of stock. 🙁
2) It is physically, mentally and emotionally impossible. I should seek therapy for this inadequacy.
3) Chanel, YSL, Dior or Armani. There are so many lovely items that I would love to try, but it’s hard to manage with such a steep price tag.

When MAC does their family and friends!! I think any 30%+ off sale PLUS FREE SHIPPING (no min.) is awesome for beauty products. Sephora’s measly 15% ones are somewhat of a joke for me.
How do you resist a sale?
Weighing how much you ACTUALLY get off. Discount minus the tax you pay. Example: Sephora’s 15% off sale. Tax in SF is 9.5% so really, I only saved 6.5% LAME

Ideal Sale: Anything 30% or more off is just irresistible! Also, free shipping is a big bonus for me! I hardly ever buy anything full price, especially online. I’m constantly on retailmenot.com looking for codes. So when I find a good one, I’m all in!
How do I resist a sale: When I have no steady flow of income, I can usually pass it up. Also, if I know that I have something big to purchase soon, I will let it go.
Brand I would love to see on sale: MAC! I really want to try MAC stuff so bad, but I feel like there are never any sales! The only MAC product I own is a LE Lipglass from the Blonde, Brunette, Redhead collection that I picked up at CCO. Like I said above, I rarely buy anything full price, so I haven’t had the opportunity to try out MAC.

Ideal beauty/makeup sale: anything that’s on sale is a good deal to me, but sometimes if something is on sale, it’s because they are discontinueing the item(s), not always, but just some food for thought.
I can NEVER resist a sale, unless I already own one or two backups already.
I’d love to see the highend makeup go on sale (Chanel, Nars, LM, MUFE etc.) and I can’t believe that Mac, does not give any of the youtubers a deal, because w/all the free advertisment Mac gets you would think that they would send the gurus a lil’something, just saying.

My ideal sale would be international. I read a lot of US blogs but everytime they mention a deal or a giveaway by a famous brand, it’s only for US citizens. I feel a little left out, as an european 😉

Like everyone else says, a bigger percentage off plus free shipping. I mean I still got stuff at Sephora’s latest sale but I would have bought way more if it had been 20%+.

Usually when the shipping and tax add up to not being much of a savigns. I didn’t buy anything at Tarte’s April 1st sale because they only had 1 thing i wanted in stock and buy the time you added tax & shipping it was a savings of like $5. I would save more buy waiting for Sephora’s F&F sale.

Mac, even though the CCO shopping tides me over. I would also go crazy for NARS, MUFE or Illamasqua.

In-store (as opposed to online) where you can swatch to your heart’s content, with a set percentage off anything you want in a store like Sephora. So many brands, so much choice. Great to try new products or stock up on favorites.

Who am I kidding? I can’t resist a sale. I keep a running list of items I’d like to try or items I’m low on, so I usually have a wish list waiting instead of buying just for the sake of buying something on sale!

I try to resist sales by simply not going to the stores. I also try to put the logic in my head about how I don’t NEED the product(s) on sale.
If MAC had a sale, I’d be really happy. I’m not the biggest fan of MAC, but I do love their lip products. I would also appreciate a few specific brand sales (like Urban Decay and Stila) at Sephora.

How do you resist a sale? I ask myself if I need it like 911 right now! or I will usually calculate how much it would be with taxes and shipping (If ordering online). Kinda like the UD sale, I wanted to buy one of the make up setting sprays but I didn’t really need it and I would still pay the same with taxes and shipping. Another is if I have little money in the bank.

* How do you resist a sale?
First – I look at my high credit card balance. If that doesn’t sway me from shopping, then I pay off all of my impending bills early. If that doesn’t work, then I remove anything that tells me when the sales dates will be. I then keep putting off shopping every day for 3 days. If the sale is still going on, then I go in with a list. However, most of the time, after 3 days, the sale is over and I was able to withold from buying. 🙂
