■Product you’re loving the most right now? MAC Lady Danger
■Product you’re trying to resist buying? The blushes from the In Extra Dimension MAC collection.
■Product that disappointed you last? Some Maybelline lipstains. Poor color choices and very drying.
I want MAC’s Firey Impact Blush. I do wonder how close it is to Ambering Rose.
I know! That is one of the ones I want soooo bad! But I just ended up with the skinfinish Shape the Future. Waiting on it to come in!
-Pale with yellow undertone, usually the lightest foundation shade in any given brand, or the lightest yellowish shade.
-Clarins Lip Perfector. It’s just so easy to use and makes my lips look so effortlessly pretty 🙂
-Burberry eye shadow in Rosewood.
-Laura Mercier oil free primer. Heard good reviews but it helped nothing in oil control for me, and smells horrible.
-Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair, pink undertones
-Product you’re loving the most right now? Lorac’s POREfection finishing powder as foundation

Product you’re loving the most right now? Rimmel flesh colored pencil-makes me look awake
Product you’re trying to resist buying? New Chanel glossimers & mac stone lipliner
Product that disappointed you last? Loreal liquid foundation with the foundation brush top. Bottle and pump system totally broke. Third bottle doing this.
Isn’t stone discontinued?
❋ Your skin tone/coloring: Armani Maestro 4.0 / NC20ish
❋ Product you’re loving the most right now? I have a lot of products I love in my collection right now. MAC mineralize lipsticks and Chanel JC in pink cloud are two that immediately come to mind.
❋ Product you’re trying to resist buying? There is always a big list building in my head, but the two that pop into mind are blushes from the recent MAC mineralize collection. I already own enough blush to last me a lifetime. And, the second is the new Guerlain gel finish nail polish. I’m almost afraid of the release.
❋ Product that disappointed you last? The new Nars lip pencils. I hate them. The colours I selected do not work on me and look flat and bland and I don’t care for the finish or texture on my lips at all.
■Your skin tone/coloring:MAC NC45/MUFE 173
■Product you’re loving the most right now? MAC Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick and Lipglass
■Product you’re trying to resist buying? Nars Liberte Blush (I have TOO many).
■Product that disappointed you last? Mac Silly Lipstick (from the recent Fashion Sets collection). The texture is not consistent at all.
NARS Liberte is so lovely and worth it, and I’m the same MAC foundation shade as you!
My skin tone is MAC NC20
Product I am loving right now: Too-Faced La Creme lipsticks
Product I am trying to resist buying: more blushes and more bronzers. I have more than enough.
Product that disappointed me last: Neutrogena MoistureSmooth color sticks. Gorgeous colors but the product settled into the little lines and furrows on my lips and did not give even coverage. Also, a little bit drying .
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair-medium with cool undertones.
Product you’re loving the most right now?: Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion.
Product you’re trying to resist buying?: Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream.
Product that disappointed you last?: Burt’s Bees Sensitive Eye Cream. Sure, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, but the product isn’t really moisturizing. I end up having to apply another eye cream on top. Next time, I’ll buy the Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream.
Your skin tone/coloring: NC15
Product you’re loving the most right now? The Balm’s NUDE’tude palette. Oh my gosh, I’m in love! And Revlon’s lip butters! Just the right amount of color and soooo moisturizing!
Product you’re trying to resist buying? I’m always resisting something. Right now a want a bunch of lipsticks and blushes (my two weaknesses) but girl’s gotta pay the rent, ya know?
Product that disappointed you last? Any coral lipstick– but this is an ongoing disappointment. They pull hot pink on my because my lips are so pigmented. But I keep trying, for whatever reason.
I love that palette. It is my go-to!
Have you tried putting down a concealer or a nude lip pencil first?
I have before, but it always looks chalky and cracked, I guess? Though I could probably stand to try again as I probably didn’t get a very good concealer when I tried years ago!
Skin coloring: NC/NW 5-10
Product I am loving most right now: Maybelline Color Whisper lip colors and Maybelline Color Sensational l/g. I love layering them!
Product i am trying to avoid buying right now: Chantecaille Lip Chics – so $$$.
Product that disappointed you last: Maybelline the Rocket mascara. like ink on my lashes, very hard to remove, did not build enough volume.
That mascara is so freaking wet it drives me crazy. I can deal with having to carefully apply it, but not with making sure my eyelashes don’t move for about three minutes.
Ugh.
Your skin tone/coloring: Nars Fiji (light-medium; yellow undertones)
Product you’re loving the most right now? Benefit Sugarbomb–it’s quickly become my go-to blush
Product you’re trying to resist buying? The Tarte Aqualillies collection
Product that disappointed you last? Nars Sheer Glow–I actually love the product, but the packaging is ridiculously terrible, the lid broke within two days, and the foundation leaks EVERYWHERE. I’m going to buy a pump for it, but it irks me to no end that at that price point they can’t make the packaging more durable. I won’t be repurchasing.
Skin tone/coloring: Light-Medium with yellow undertone
Product loving right now: NARS blush in Luster (mmmm, that peach with golden shimmer glow got me cause it’s not a frost), Kat Von D Lock-it concealer set with NARS loose setting powder.
Product trying to resist buying: Where to begin? Peach creamsheen lipstick from MAC Baking Beauties collection, Kat Von D eyeshadow palette in Ladybird and Saint, and NARS blush in Gaity to name a few.
Product that last disappointed: Kat Von D longwear foundation. Lots of reviews say you have to learn how to apply it right. Why should applying any foundation have some sort of science involved? And why does it look flawless on everyone who wrote those wonderful reviews but me??? It isn’t full coverage on me because I still see my sun spots/freckles shining through after applying foundation.
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium warm. NC30/35
Product you’re loving the most right now? Ponds Cold Cream. Seriously.
Product you’re trying to resist buying? Bronzer.

■Your skin tone/coloring: Warm/Fair
■Product you’re loving the most right now? Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream
■Product you’re trying to resist buying? Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrance
■Product that disappointed you last? Buxom black eyeliner
Yes! Bronze Goddess is a favorite of mine, and I absolutely love the oil spray.
Skintone/coloring: Fairly light, very neutral; dark features & hair.
Loving most: I haven’t played with it much yet, but NARS Thunderball; I wanted it for sooo long, though. Also, NYX Highlighter/Contour duo-HG contour product, especially with both sides blended together.
Resisting: Not much, really. I do want to try NARS Sheer Glow foundation, and the new powders, but not so badly it can’t wait until the end of the year. I’m lemming the new KvD palette, Ladybird, and I’m getting impatient waiting for it to hit store shelves, and I hate buying online.
Disappointing: I’m not easily disappointed, as I know product/brands can be hit & miss, so I just figure a way to make something work. However, the NARS Warhol collection bummed me out, not due to quality/performance, as I never tried anything out myself, but the entire presentation was a let-down. I was expecting something different based on press, but the actual execution wasn’t appealing…

Product you’re trying to resist buying? A Guerlain Parure foundation I swatched a while back. I don’t wear foundation enough to justify the price tag, as it would probably go off before I use even half of it.

Product you’re trying to resist buying? YSL Manifesto the perfume, I got a sample when I bought my new foundation and I love the smell, but I really don’t need another perfume..
Product that disappointed you last? the mac compact bb cream, the product itself was lovely but it accentuates the dry flaky patches of skin on the sides of my nose and between my eyebrows. I hope it will be perfect though when it gets a little warmer here! (in the Netherlands)

Product that disappointed you last:
BareMinerals Prime Time Oil Free primer. I’d tried the original and loved it so I grabbed this one thinking it would be fairly similar. WRONG. It’s like applying a layer of glue to my face that peels immediately. The most useless product I’ve ever bought!

Product I’m loving most: Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer. The consistency is so nice with medium coverage.
Trying to resist: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess oil spray. It’s something I buy every spring–the perfect beach scent, lightly moisturizing and never too oily.
Product that disappointed me last: Bare Minerals eyecolor in Queen Phyllis, a shimmering champagne color. It’s so pretty when it first goes on, but it flakes all day even with shadow primer, so much that I need to clean my glasses several times a day. Boo.

Product you’re trying to resist buying: I really want to get the LORAC Pro Palette. I really want it but I have both UD Naked palettes so I’m trying to tell myself I don’t need it.
Product that disappointed you last: Stila Forever Your Curl Mascara. Did absolutely nothing for my lashes, and smudged horribly under my eyes. Nothing worse than to be out and about and then look in the mirror and see a total mess! Yuck, never again!
I have both Naked palettes, and the LORAC Pro palette, and it really is different enough to justify owning in addition to the Nakeds. The shadows lean more neutral, and the amount of mattes make for better variation.

Product you’re trying to resist buying? NARS Multiple. I don’t even know what shade. But I became fixated with wanting to pick one up for contouring and I’m still attached to that idea. But I don’t know much about their usage as a contour and then I have no idea which shade would be best for me.
Product that disappointed you last? Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream. I received it for free and I was excited because all the reviews I had read were of people adoring it. But none of the reviewers I read must have dry skin. It was a wreck for me. It didn’t just show flakes or settle in dry patches. It actually dried my skin more on top of that. Made my face look like the desert floor. I used a heavier moisturizer, I mixed the BB cream with moisturizer on before applying over that. Not going to work!
Skin tone – Urban Decay 0.5
Love – UD Loaded eyeshadow
Resisting – the loaded eyeliner and MAC extra dimension Bareness blush
Disappointed – OPI nail polish. It doesn’t last more than a day on me anymore.

* Product you’re loving the most right now? Cera Ve night cream (I’m having terrible dehydration problems due to weather change)but otherwise I would say Josie Maran Tinted Moisturizer in Butter
* Product you’re trying to resist buying? The Naked2 palette (I don’t need to be spending the $, nor do I need more neutral shadows but I love them so!)
* Product that disappointed you last? Pur D’or and argan oil, it seems to sit on top of my skin instead of sinking into it. Am I applying it incorrectly?!
Hi Jennifer, I’m a big fan of the majority of Josie Maran’s (JM) products. When I 1st starting using argan oil I tried several brands to make sure JM wasn’t just hype and for ME there was an undeniable difference in the products (all 100% pure and 1st cold pressed) so I wait for great sales and stock up on Josie Maran. Every other brand I tried just sat on my skin and was so bad that I would use it on body only – not face – until gone.
I’ve found Josie Maran’s argan oil sits on top of my skin rather than soaking in if I use too much or layer something on top too quickly. My skin is VERY dry and I live in a cold dry climate. I use it as a serum everywhere at night and in the morning I only use it on my declotte as I’m either wearing her sunscreen which has argan oil in it…or I’m wearing other brands & makeup so I don’t want an oil under those layers of product. I put the following amount on my fingers (almost to palm) and rub them together then press onto my skin: Face = 2-3 drop, Neck = 2 drops, Declotte = 3 drops and Eyes = less than 1 drop split between both eyes applied underneath and on lid…since argan oil is good for hair I apply what is left on my fingers to my eyebrows and bat my eyelashes on my fingertips (to avoid getting too much & irritating eyes)…I’ve been doing that for at least a year and my eyelashes are super soft (mascara can dry my lashes). I start with the lesser amount like 2 drops and add the 3rd drop as needed. By doing it in sections like that it only takes a couple of minutes and I don’t over apply by having too much on my fingers. I do other stuff for about 15 minutes before putting anything on top to allow the argan oil to soak in…it isn’t as quick as some of my lotions but well worth it for me. This is probably WAY too much info but maybe it will help 🙂
Dear Kelly B,
Thank you so much for writing a reply! I think think my mistake is not giving the oil time to sink in before applying other products on top and/or applying the oil last (it sounds like it should be apply to bare skin and then other items on top at night time not the other way around, which I was doing). I will try all your tips and hopefully be soft and glowy looking instead of a giant oil slick! ; ) Thank you so much for taking the time to help, I REALLY appreciate it!!
Hi Jennifer…I definitely use argan oil 1st on clean skin, in fact I’ve even noticed improved absorption if I let my skin dry for a couple of minutes instead of putting it on a damp face. I experimented with lots of sequences when 1st using argan oil and it ALWAYS sat on skin and created a gummy mess if I put other products on underneath argan oil. Nights I use Retin-A (2x/week) I even skip argan oil so I don’t put it on top of Retin-A WITH emollients to avoid issues even though my derm says it would be find to use both. I really think using argan on top of other things could be a huge part of the problem you are experiencing.
On the time allowed to sink in, 15 minutes is my general time but when really dry it can be much faster or if the bathroom is steamy it can take a little longer…you’ll know as you play with it. I just brush my teeth, make tea, do other stuff so it isn’t an inconvenience at all. I was doing the same thing with other serums that I layer moisturizer or SPF on top, so I just allow a few extra minutes.
A lot of people wear argan oil in the morning as a serum and don’t have any problems with SPF or makeup. I haven’t played around with daytime layers as much since I’ve been finishing bottles & samples of other “lighter weight” serums during the day & I use SPF that is very moisturizing before makeup. It’s just like other types of oils, different people experiment with AM/PM application & layering until they find what works with for their body.
I also use argan oil on my entire body after showering, let it dry while doing hair, then put on lotion (again I have dry skin). I even eliminated all hair styling products by using JM argan oil HAIR SERUM for tangles & styling…my hair is has gotten softer & shiny. Since I have a lot of health issues & huge surgery scars…this product (which has anti-inflammatory properties) and something about the quality or processing method from this brand works for MY body. It’s pricey but JM’s website has tons of good sales & free shipping with $25…since I can eliminate 2-3 other products by using 1 item from this line and only have to use a few drops at a time, it ends up being cheaper and worth the few minutes to dry. Geez I’ve written another novel…I just get so much advice here and am happy if I can ever offer anything to someone. Good luck!
Kelly you are a rock star! Thank you so much for the additional info. I also use Retin-A .0025% a few times a week (if I use more my skin gets flakey!) and was wondering how to incorporate the Argan oil. I will try starting tonight and see how it goes. (ps. I found that the Tarte Maracuja Oil seems to sink in more easily for me but then again,I think it’s lighter in weight.) Thanks again for your time! Have a beautiful day!
It totally worked!!! Clean dry face and then the argan oil pressed into skin. Thanks Kelly!
Most products which companies claim are argan oil only have a small amount of it in their formulas. The majority I’ve come across are mixed with various silicones, fragrance and other nastiness. The best argan oil you’ll find is 100% pure, with nothing added. You can find it much cheaper by purchasing in larger amounts 100ml and up) from companies like New Directions Aromatics. The company has an online store, as well as an actual wholesale store. You’ll receive high quality oils at a fraction of the price. You can save even more by splitting a liter bottle (or more) with friends and family members.
Hi JENNIFER!
Yeah!!! So glad I could help a little. I’m trying to adjust to Retin-A .05%. I stressed with emollient as my derm said it reduces drying (I can’t imagine it being worse!) Derm says it is 100% fine to put argan oil on top after letting Retin-A sit for 20-30 min. I’m playing with combos, seems emollient works best with something light on top then heavy moisturizer on other 5 nights. If I wasn’t using Retin-A with emollient I would def add argan oil on top of it.
Glad to hear about Tarte Maracuja oil!I have a very large deluxe sample, been waiting to use until I can incorporate it solely for a couple of weeks to see how I can best use it and if I should buy some. I wonder if you use it on your face – I know a lot of people do. HTH 🙂 🙂
Hi SANDRA JT!
I totally agree with your comments, the majority of products claiming to be argan oil have drops of it and primarily a bunch of stuff I don’t want to use and won’t buy. Josie Maran argan oil is 100% 1st cold pressed, there is not a single other ingredient. I have tried numerous brands that were equal or far less in cost that also only had the 1 ingredient (argan oil) and for some reason JM is the best for ME. While they started out small they have been growing quickly over the past couple of years with a strong following and JM appears to do a lot of charitable donations but ultimately the product has to stand on it’s own and for ME it does. I buy the 1.7 & 2 ounce sizes when on great deals although she has a bigger one…I just like to use 50ml then open a new bottle. In my experience all brands are NOT created equal even if they all say 1 ingredient processed the same way. For me it’s like olive oil, same processing, etc. but I like a particular brand better than others. Thank you for clearly explaining what to look for & avoid…I came to the same conclusions while experimenting myself and hope your info will help someone just starting with this ingredient. After taking those factors into consideration, personal preference – what works for the individual’s body and needs helps determine the brand one repurchases.
I will definitely look up the company you provided, I haven’t tried them yet. Thank you so much for the info!!!

Product that disappointed you last? Poudre Signee de Chanel. I just don’t get it, but I sure am 46 pounds lighter … in my wallet.
Coloring: Fair-Light, NW20. Brown eyes and hair.
Product I’m loving the most: Tarte Awakening! I LOVE IT! I can wear it by itself (no foundation) and it tones down the red in my cheeks while still leaving them flushed. It contours without looking harsh. It also smells amazing.
Product you’re trying to resist: HMM. Either the Tarte “discover the amazon” set or the BareMinerals quad in “Truth.” They’re both in my Sephora cart now, awaiting judgement.
I’m not sure how hard I’m resisting them. I need travel-friendly makeup for a May wedding. I am going to want to go on a no-buy or low-buy soon though. :-/
Product that disappointed you last: I am kind of disappointed with the bareminerals duo “The Scenic Route,” but I might just need to give it time. The quality is fine, but the colors aren’t really my style.

Product that disappointed you last? Nothing comes to mind as of recently. I have managed to weed out the products in my stash that didn’t work for me, and I am pretty content with everything I own and use it regularly. The only new product I have tried recently is a moisturizer which I love as well.

Product that disappointed you last? Dior Multi-Perfection Cream, my skin just did not like it at all.
Your skin tone/coloring: NC20/NC25 (MAC), Gobi/Ceylan (NARS Sheer Glow), #117/#120 (MUFE HD)
Product you’re loving the most right now?: Benefit Watt’s Up – I bought this a long time ago, but I kind of forgot about it until recently. It adds a really great champagne sheen to the face.
Product you’re trying to resist buying?: Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation – I really want to try this for summer, but I’m trying to resist because I don’t want to deal with picking a color sight unseen. Oh, and blush, I am trying to resist blush.
Product that disappointed you last?: NARS Liberte Blush – The shade was GORGEOUS, but the texture of the one I bought was really off. It felt like it had been exposed to excess moisture or heat, and it just wouldn’t blend properly.
-nw 45
-all my mac lipsticks. I have on Girl About Town today
-I don’t resist anything, which is a huge problem.
-Smashbox BB Cream. No love for dark-skinned girls ever. Do they not understand our purchasing power?
Skin tone/coloring: Fair and pretty neutral
Product I’m loving right now: Maybelline Vivids lipsticks – easy way to make up my face with out doing to much else
Product I’m resisting: This category is too big! But the In Extra Dimension Blushes in Bareness and Blazing Haute and the Naked 2 palette. At least Blazing Haute is sold out online!
Product that last disappointed me: The Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation – oxidized, looked cakey, did not live up to the hype.

■Product you’re loving the most right now?NARS Sheer Glow(& Naked2-couldn’t decide!)
■Product you’re trying to resist buying?Kat Von D EverLasting Bronze in Shady Business I…I’ll probably end up buying it next time I go shopping:)
■Product that disappointed you last?Urban Decay’s Naked Beauty Balm…it suuucked.Did nothing it claimed, but I could have lived with that if it provided decent coverage. Also, I’m not sure, but I think it made me breakout and I’m considering a derm visit. And I NEVER break out.

Product you’re trying to resist buying? MAC Cyber
Product that disappointed you last? Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
Skin Tone: Mac NC 55, MUFE 178.
I’m in love with Mac Fresh Brew lipstick and Nars Taj Mahal blush. Although I have lots of products, I use each at least twice a week.
Trying to resist buying more Nars blushes. I only have two – Taj Mahal and Albatross. Love them both. Would like a brownish pink blush and/or a blush complimentary with my Heroine and Up The Amp MAC pink/purple lippies. Also seriously avoiding Guerlain products but extremely curious….
Major disappointment – translucent setting powders. They turn me into Casper the friendly ghost. What the hell was I thinking? Sticking to my MSF powders by MAC.
Hi Erica…Have you ever tried Mally Beauty’s Poreless Face Defender to set makeup? It is not a powder, looks almost like a clear gel in the compact and feels like nothing on the skin. It goes on totally clear, sets any type of makeup I’m wearing AND blurs my pores. I have the opposite problem with setting powders – I’m super pale and a lot of them just make me look pasty…not attractive… may be worth looking up. HTH 🙂

Product you’re loving the most right now?: Too Faced Natural Face palette, Too Faced Sweet Indulgences palette Sephora Precious Metals shadow palette
Product you’re trying to resist buying?: Hello Kitty Toyko Palette
Product that disappointed you last?: Benefit Fakeup, Glamglow
Skin tone/colouring: pale, cool-toned, brown hair and eyes
Product you’re loving right now: not a product per se but the new set of Real Techniques brushes are making my makeup application that much more fun; also Nars Lhasa eye shadow
Product you’re trying to resist buying: it’s a toss up between those new Hourglass powders, Hourglass Dune eye shadow duo and Bare Minerals The Scenic Route duo (honestly, I have so many shadows that rarely get used and buying more that are similar is just plain dumb)
Product that disappointed you last: a clay mask from Marcelle (CDN company) and also Nars Cordura eye shadow duo. From the high praise, I thought I’d find it more “holy grail” and easy to wear but it’s an effort to do looks that turn out looking good with the coppery side.
Skin tone: Neutral Pale
Product I am loving: OCC lip tar in Pretty Boy and Jouer Matte Moisture Tint in Porcelain.
Resisting: The new Urban Decay 24/7 pencils. I love them and have way too many already.
Disappointed by: Clark Botanicals Radiance Mask (it broke me out) and Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes. The original Hypnose is one of my favorites which makes this one especially disappointing.
■Your skin tone/coloring: porcelain/blond/hazel eyes
■Product you’re loving the most right now? Diorshow lash primer. It’s amazing and makes any mascara look great, even if it sucks! but the price ahh ;_; after my sample is gone, I don’t think I can justify it.
■Product you’re trying to resist buying? MAC’s Lady Danger, Hayley Williams collection, MAC So Chaud, etc etc. Orange/reds are what i am loving right now, but i have been on a no buy ;_;.
■Product that disappointed you last? hmm.. probably some samples of clinique mascara, out of five i liked high impact, but the rest made a panda eyed mess!

Product you’re loving the most right now? Mac ProLongwear Concealer NC20!!!
Product you’re trying to resist buying? Naked Basics Palette & Tarte Amazonian Blush in/Blushing Bride.
Product that disappointed you last? OCC Lip Tars (it stayed for a few hours and it didn’t stained on my lips the color washed away) Also the Rimmel London Lipsticks
-Medium w/ yellow undertones. not sure what shade exactly anymore since my skin’s gotten lighter.
-Tarte 12 hour blush in Blissful
-High end cream and gel eyeliners. Only because I feel like they’re not all that different from drugstore ones and the price is steep for what you get. But they’re just so nice..Also the lorac pro palette is on my list
-Honestly, no product has really “disappointed” me in awhile. The only thing i’d say is that my Tarte matte waterproof bronzer was slightly disappointing, only because even with lighter skin than normal, it does not really show up on my medium tone skin. It’d be a really fantastic bronzer for lighter skin tones though.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, I have Dim Light, but now I want to buy them all!
Product you’re trying to resist buying?
I have a few… I’m resisting buying Hourglass Mineral Primer, I love it to death but it’s just so damn expensive. I also LOVE the FAB Age-Delay moisturizer and serum. I got some samples in a kit I bought and they’re AMAZING but I just have so many moisturizers and serums.
Product that disappointed you last?
Probably the Embryolisse Cleansing Water. It’s okay, and I got it on Hautelook for cheap, but it’s just too fragranced for my taste. It does an okay job on make-up removal. However, I’ll use it up and find a better option. I also recently tried BUXOM Lash mascara and found it utterly disappointing. I hate mascaras that make big claims, and then don’t do anything at all. I found it left a lot to de desired.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light / yellow based
Product you’re loving the most right now? Dior “Rosy Tan” quint
Product you’re trying to resist buying? There isn’t anything at the moment.
Product that disappointed you last? Dior “Extase Pinks” quint. There’s so much glitter in those shadows, there end up all over my face. I wish the “glitteriness” were more apparent in the swatches I looked at on beauty blogs before purchasing.

Product you’re trying to resist buying? New UD 24/7 liners
Product that disappointed you last? I haven’t been that thrilled with the MAC PRO Conceal and Correct Palettes but I’ll persevere.
– Very pale skin with brown hair (now mostly grey!) and eyes.
– Love: for nails, Barry M four new gelly nail polishes for spring. All beautiful, but especially like Lychee, even though pales/neutrals are not normally what I use.
– Resisting more nail polish, in particular Color Club Halo Hues, but not for long! Weakening fast …
– Have had problems with all foundations burning my skin after wearing for a while, apart from Dior Eclat Satin.

What am i trying to resist buying: more nail polish.. i already have a ton but there are so many pretty colors that i dont have
What was i last dissapointed by: the stila in the garden palette.. everything was sheer, and turned brown on me. everything looked like the same color on me, even with primer.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very pale with yellow undertones (about NC05, if they made it)
Product you’re loving the most right now? Maybelline Illegal Length mascara, hands down the best I’ve ever tried, even Benefit’s They’re Real!
Product you’re trying to resist buying? Hourglass Ambient Powder. I’m sure I’d love it, but at $45…
Product that disappointed you last? Face Atelier Zero Minus foundation (in pure white). I mix it with a Korean bb cream that has the fairest tone I’ve ever found in a foundation, but not fair enough for me. Although it does the job well, it tends to emphasize any dry patches in my skin and also lowers the staying power of the other foundation, so I get oily much faster. I’m curious about Illamasqua’s white foundation, but unless I manage to get a sample, I won’t risk it and purchase it without having tried it first.
Skin tone: light-medium (colder months)
medium (spring/summer months)
Product I’m loving right now: Bobbi Brown Longwear foundation in Beige (it really *does* hold up on oily skin
matches my skin tone perfectly) and Diorshow Extase mascara (the only waterproof formula that
doesn’t flake off & make a mess) AND Kryolan powder blush in R19 (beautiful peachy shade,
insanely pigmented)

Sorry but I couldn’t find the “reply” icon so I started a new comment: since you mentioned that your skin is very dry and you live in a cold dry climate, I’m not sure if the Tarte MO will work for you as well as the Josie Maran AO. BUT, if I did my research correctly, Maracuja Oil does have different vitamins/benefits then argan oil so maybe you can “mix” them? Maracuja oil, I think, is suppose to have a lot of vitamin C which supposedly helps fade spots (hyperpigmentation). Since you mentioned you used Retin-A, I thought maybe you might have some small dark marks from acne like I do. It’s supposed to help. I don’t know for sure since I have just started to use it but I am hopeful :)Best of luck!

Product you’re loving the most right now? NARS Sheer Matte Foundation
I started with MAC Studio Tech and I thought it couldn’t get any better till I tried NARS. It works better for my combination skin. I have an oily T-zone, while the rest is pretty dry. Studio Tech would be too heavy in the summer and NARS would give coverage but also be very light. Perfect for me.
Product you’re trying to resist buying? It’s sad, but I haven’t resisted. I’ve been on a role since Archie’s Girls was released. I need to stop. I’ve got the Fashion Collection, xHaley, Extra Dimension (LUV THEM!), and hit website as soon as Baking Beauties was released. My friends are thinking that an intervention is necessary. I can’t wait till RiRi ❤MAC comes out and All About Orange!
