Sunset Eyes: Spring Colour Forecast Style

Sunset Eyes: Spring Colour Forecast Style

Yet another look from Spring Colour Forecast… I imagine I’ll squeeze in a few more before we’re onto Riveting! Speaking of onto the next thing, I won’t be able to get the new Viva Glam lipsticks up until later today (because I have class most of the day), but I hope to get them up today at some point.  Sorry 🙁  I completely scheduled my classes around MAC launch days (Thursdays), but Viva Glam got moved up to today… a Wednesday.  Boo!

Anyway, just wanted to pop by with this look before I go back to studying my butt off for my statistics midterm tonight!  🙂

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Manila Paper eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Straw Harvest eyeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Hot Hot Hot eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Lightly blend Hot Hot Hot eyeshadow, with the 239, on the outer corner and lid. Lightly tap and brush Straw Harvest eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Ricepaper eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying El Dorado eyeliner on the lower lash line and Zero eyeliner on the lower waterline. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Ripe Peach blush ombre to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Bronzilla lipstick first, and then layer Kumquat lipglass for a complementing lip.

Nice warm look. You pull off the lips super well too !! Not sure it’s my color scheme though. And I really like the top you are wearing, nice color !

Naaahh……. Don’t like theses colours much. For eyes, that is. But I love the lips. Geez… what a pretty colour! I think the gloss is what pulls it off for me.

Christine, I know this is unrelated, but your HAIR? It’s so beautiful! I’ve been trying to grow my hair out recently – I’m your age and I haven’t had it past my shoulders since fourth grade. I never have the patience to get past that in-between brushing the shoulders phase. But seeing how beautifully your hair has been growing out is motivating me to at least keep giving it a try! (Your hair is much straighter than mine, but mine’s the same color and thickness and when blown out, looks very much like yours.)

Also this look is very pretty 🙂 That lip is much nicer than I thought it would be by the description. Funny, in the full face shot Manila Paper looks kinda too bright and cool in the look, but in the closeups it looks warm and just right. Strange how lighting affects things. You look awesome in “sunset” looks.

I’m the opposite, I’ve pretty much have had long hair since the 1st grade (when my mom chopped it all off). I went short twice in the past few years, but yeah, long hair is much more my style…

I was THISCLOSE to getting extensions, that’s how miserable the whole experience was 🙁 Good thing extensions are EXPENSIVE, so I kept waffling and eventually my hair grew out enough to skip ’em.

Thank you!

Hi Rashmi,

Thanks a lot!

I like Sugarbomb more, but I guess that’s because it’s so easy to wear and goes with everything. I don’t think you’d be disappointed with either CORALista or Sugarbomb, but I’d recommend Sugarbomb over CORALista, just because at the very least, it’ll be a nice, softer blush for you 🙂

Gorgeous! I especially love the gold liner and the lip combo. I’d love to be able to pull off corals as well as you do, or lipstick in general, for that matter!

Also, I was pretty un-enthused about the ombre blushes, but after seeing them on you I’m starting to dig them.

Cute! I often do a look similar like this one using the Notoriety quad 🙂

Good luck on your statistics midterm! Been there, done that… 😉

Awesome! I have both of those UD liners and never thought to layer them like that.

As soon as I can dig out from all of this snow I am marching right to MAC to get the Ripe Peach, Bronzilla, and Kumquat!!

Wow. I could never pull that lip color off, but it looks awesome on you!

I love the peachy-orangey eyes. The more of these looks you do, the more eager I am to get my own haul from this collection! Yay!

Side note-can the crushed metal stacks be pressed into shadow pans, or are they too chunky? I don’t know whether I’ll just ruin the product if i try.

I diverge. I MUST get hot hot hot. Seriously lemming.

Another pretty look! Thanks for using Hot, Hot, Hot as I had no clue how it could be used! I also love the idea of Bronzilla with Kumquat over it. I was going to get both anyway!
