Sugarpill x Edward Scissorhands Nail Polishes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Sugarpill The Inventor Nail Polish
Sugarpill Ice Angel Nail Polish ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “blend of snow white flecks in varying sizes.” It’s flecks of multi-sized white pieces suspended in a clear base, and it does look a lot like snow applied. It was designed to be layered over The Inventory or used alone, and it actually applied a lot better than I expected–the “snow” really disperses evenly across the nail without getting too many large pieces in one area or bald spots. A single coat is shown on my thumb nail, and the effect is noticeable, even, and pretty much true-to-description. I also tried it layered in various ways over the dark gray coordinating shade–kind of in the theme of a blizzard, a flurry, and a sprinkling of snow. It actually seemed smoother than the glitter in The Inventory and has a more noticeable shine (without a top coat). I don’t have any dupes to share with you, but I’m sure there are some out there! Sugarpill’s polish formula lasts seven days on me with minor tip wear but no chipping.
Sugarpill The Inventor Nail Polish ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “pinch of silver glitter mixed in a dark steel gray base.” It’s a dark gray with subtle, cooler undertones and what looks like muted, gold micro-glitter and some silver glitter. It was fully opaque after two coats of polish, and the consistency was a little thicker but didn’t pool along the edges so it was manageable. It had a moderate dry down time, and it dried down to a slight shine, but I would recommend a top coat for this one. I’d also say to opt for a thicker top coat, as the micro-glitter creates a sense of texture on the nail. Sugarpill’s polish formula lasts seven days on me with minor tip wear but no chipping. Zoya Yuna (P, $9.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Grey Friday (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery, less glossy (85% similar). China Glaze Stone Cold (LE, $7.50) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

These are very pretty. It’s a cute collection.
I liked how they were wearable alone or together!
Oooh, these are fun 😀
They are!
One of my favorite movies and soundtracks of all time!
Awesome!
Me too Erin! I think the movie is set to release again mid to early October on Blue Ray/DVD.
Aww! I skipped the lacquers! I did order the palette last nigh though. I’ll have to think if I want to pay for the extra shipping. Now I wished I would have gotten the package deal. Bummer. These look so cool both together and alone.
Aww!
I had to remedy the situation since you gave these the stamp of approval. I ordered both.
I have to mention this since their was a post about the importance customer service earlier in the blog: I didn’t even ask. This was my fist ever Sugarpill order so I am very impressed. But, someone in customer service caught that I did not get the bundle deal and refunded me $10. So, not an hour after I ordered the lacquers , I received an email stating that I was getting a credit for $4for the bundle and $6 for the extra shipping fee. That is awesome customer service!
That is awesome! 🙂 Amy (founder of Sugarpill) has always been amazing, so it’s thrilling to hear it from others!
I think a light splash of the snowflake one might be pretty over other polishes, like a sky blue or gray color. I wish it was iridescent or holographic, to create a cool wintry feel. The Inventor looks gritty, like the color has been dipped in sand –it looks more rocker chic to me
That would have been a nice touch!
So Cute, I might have to pick them both up!!
Nice! 😀
In those first (top) pictures did you layer “snow angel” over the “inventor”? It looks really nice! Where can I buy this?
Yes, it is Ice Angel layered over The Inventory 🙂 Sugarpill.net!

Lovely wintery feeling mani! These look perfect together and definitely something I would love to do on my own nails! Out of the two, I would say that Ice Angel is a must-have for me personally, I can envision it over a dusky blue for a twilight snow flurry vibe.
Ice Angel is definitely going to be more versatile!
I checked the “where to buy” locations, but it wasn’t listed on beautylish or Amazon….?
Where to Buy is automagically populated by the brand, but these are only at sugarpill.net right now.
Oh, ok! Thanks!!!
Ice Angel is so pretty, I think it would great layered over just about anything! Plus I’m weak for anything Edward Scissorhands related.
It was a fun one to play with!
Not a fan of The Inventor. It looks gritty and lumpy/bubbly.
There is definitely the feel of glitter in it!
Yep, I love them. I have to have them.
Yay!
Ice Angel is just gorgeous! I’m usually not too fond of glitter polish just by itself, but it looks really glam yet understated; love it! 🙂
It’s really cool!
