Stilazzi x Jordan Liberty Darkroom Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Stilazzi Darkroom 18-Pan Eyeshadow Palette

Stilazzi x Jordan Liberty Darkroom Eyeshadow Palette ($39.00 for 1.00 oz.) is a new, limited edition 18-pan palette that features an array of neutrals and a few pops of color across mattes and shimmers. It’s a collaboration with makeup artist, Jordan Liberty, who has worked on campaigns from many major brands, like Urban Decay (what I’m most familiar with), MAC, NARS, and so on.

I haven’t tried Stilazzi before, though I’ve heard a few (rave) reviews here and there through the years — curious if any readers have any experiences to share! Here are swatches…

Personally, I think this collaboration stands out because it’s with an actual professional MUA, with a solid reputation. I don’t follow him closely, but from the handful of videos I’ve seen, he does seem quite knowledgeable, and practical. He also comes off as genuinely wanting to teach, not just “influencer status”. Also, given the reputable brands he’s associated with, I’d be comfortable trying a brand like this. While this particular palette is absolutely beautiful, it doesn’t appeal to my needs, but I think it’d be perfect for my daughter (given her age, aesthetic, and coloring), so if it’s easily accessible, I’ll strongly consider picking it up.

Yes, indeed. Glad my low buy includes no new brands. Between the every nanosecond releases and new brands, our heads are spinning like the Exorcist. These swatches look to me as if the formula in all is exactly the same, only the pigment differs. That can’t be good. Maybe Andrew will clarify.

Looks like there are some hits and misses in this palette. I’ve never heard of this brand, so I’m curious to see what people say.

On a side note,…

Christine, have you (or any one else here) ever heard of Red Apple Lipstick? Their products are cruelty/gluten/toxin-free and there are some beautiful lipstick shades. I’m thinking about giving them a try. (Not that I need more makeup. Lol)

I haven’t actually tried Red Apple lipsticks yet. But I’ve been watching green beauty bloggers for years and I have never seen anyone say anything less than rave things about them. Seems like a pretty safe purchase.

So I’m guessing Stilazzi isn’t a spin-off from Stila (the way the Estee Edit was with Estee Lauder) but an entirely separate and new company with no affiliation at all with Stila? I see a lot of lovely shadows here but at least 3 (Infrared, Poolside, Droptop and DTLA – so 4 or possibly more) that I’d never use. As for the ones I like best…yup, I’m sure I’ve multiple dupes for all of them.

I’m so excited about this palette. I really like Jordan Liberty. I hope it’s good. I’ve never heard anything bad about this brand either.

This does look like a solid palette, but it is very similar (in terms of shade choices) to a few that have come onto the market recently. Only your review will tell Christine. I think it’s good to try out different brands and see how they stack up to the more traditional ones.
