Stila Shade Mystere Collection Swatches
Stila Shade Mystere Collection includes eight new liquid eyeshadows and one “face gloss.” While the liquid eyeshadows are billed as having “color-flip pigments” that are “color-changing,” I wasn’t able to detect much shift (some not at all) in person, let alone in photos, though they were all sparkly/glittery. You can click any shade’s photo below to see the full photo set (including an angled swatch).

Those are just sad.
That made me LOL, but I totally agree!
Same
Same exact result as Allura’s live YT swatches last night. Only a few seem to have even a slight shift that one can see just barely. But I really do like Spiritual, Mythical and Enigmatic out of all of these, because those are ones where I do see something of a shift, plus, all 3 look promising if even only as toppers!
Shame more of them aren’t as opaque as Charmed. I wonder if the “color flip” would be improved over a black base. But these will be a hard pass from me.
I did like Charmed.
Oh dear…
These look to be disappointing. – Chramed is the only bright one amidst the rest.
I’m not a glitter person and much prefer the shimmer and glows, but these are pretty sad. They look like a big miss for Stila.
These look pretty sorry.
A gimmick that falls completely flat. Thank you so much for saving me money on something I thought might be as good as their regular Shimmer & Glow shadows.
I think these look really sad. No pigmentation and no shift that I can see. Charmed is pretty and the overall tone is not similar to the shades already in Stila’s Glitter and Glows or their Shimmer and Glows but even that shade doesn’t look amazing. This will be an easy pass for me unless there is a way to make them work better.
Is this the Stila response to the Little White Lies fiasco? 2 points, I guess, for that, and that only. Lots of consumers are complaining about only getting black from these. Back to the drawing board; good luck next time. We’ve seen worse, but these really don’t do what they purport to.
Well, bonus: the images they used for light and dark models actually look different per shade!
Still photoshopped in terms of color and all that – I mean, they make ’em look real smooth, opaque, etc.
Man, showing my age, but remember when Stila was one of THE makeup brands? They were on the top of everyone’s wishlists in the early-to-mid 2000s, it’s sad to see how far they’ve fallen.
I am SO underwhelmed. Stila, I love you, but you can do better and have done better.
I actually saw these in store today and swatched a few. They were much more pigmented and reflective in person, but I didn’t quite see the color shift that the brand advertises. I thought they were a nicer alternative to the glitter & glow because the glitter pieces are much smaller and smoother. The main difference is the base is not as pigmented but the glitters are quite multi-dimensional.
Same, I bought two of them, I think they’re gorgeous if not quite as advertised. The light blue and purple/pink shift are going to look amazing this spring!
These look really weird even in the tube…that splatter of shimmer against white is not appealing
When I saw the photos of the bottles I was wondering what these were for and then the swatches???!!! I thought, “Are these for the lips?” I read they’re for the eyes, but maybe someone was confused. The product testing teams must have been on vacation because as many have said, this is sad, but even more than that, inexcusable.
Boy those are gorgeous in the bottle but yikes on the skin! It’s too bad, because they looked like they could be a fun going out look, but this is a definite skip. Unless I just want to put them on a shelf and look at them because wow they are nice in the bottle!
