First thing I noticed; they finally included transition shades in matte. Secondly, I kinda like the weird geometric twist on these! It’s different, but in a good way.
Third; with Rose In The Air and Comfort Zone, the shadows apply to the lid far better than the arm swatches would have indicated!
4th; Rose In The Air looks like an attempted dupe of Mod Ren.
Just my observations!

IDK, I like some of the colors here, wish they came in singles, but none of the kits are exciting me. Feel like too many neutral shades or kind of a mixed bag in terms of quality

A few of these look nice but some are dreadful beyond belief. I have the original Comfort Zone palette, which I rarely use in spite of the fact that it’s a really good palette. If I can find it, I might buy Nude Awakening even though several of the shadows look really bad; there seem to be a few that are good enough to justify the purchase.

I like the way the brand has developed different colour themes, but many of the shades seem patchy to me. My favourite colour combo – the comfort zone, is not as good as the original – more warmer tones have been added – like the brightish orange shade for transition.
I think the quality is lacking here Christine – take your time reviewing these, I don’t think we’re in a hurry to rush out and purchase.

Well, I think the Rose in the air palette looks similar (or dupe) for Anastasia modern renaissance palette. It’s just my observation, the pink & reddish shades didn’t swatch good but they may wear well. I think I will buy this one to compare it to my modern renaissance

The original Comfort Zone palette is my favorite drugstore palette of all time and I still use it. It was the perfect combination of pigment, blendability, with a few unusual shades thrown in. I don’t know about these palettes. I think they are pretty but many look patchy. From my perspective, I don’t think you need to rush reviewing these.

Isn’t it funny that this sneak peek inspired me to order the original Comfort Zone on the wnw site? They had it clearanced out and while I was there I got one of my HG singles (Brulee).

I am interested in these new formulations – especially the Modern Renaissance dupe – but looking at swatches of the original Comfort Zone sold me. That duochome definer shade looks fabulous.

TBH I would love to see swatches of the trios now quads. These are all too warm for me, but Walking on Eggshells (og) is so lovely and Silent Treatment had a pair of decent shades as well.

For me, WNW shadows always do better on the eyes than in swatches and at the end of the day… swatches don’t actually matter ::gasp:: lol

Also, these are $4.99. We’ve definitely seen high end pallets with more duds. (Too faced?)

The eye looks are great. I’m definitely awaiting your review, but I’ve already ordered the Rose in the Air and Nude Awakening pallets for travel. ❤

I’m going against the herd here but I think these look great! I am super excited. I just decluttered my original WnW palettes because the were SO old and I will be picking all of these up! I always used a primer under my old ones and that would definitely improve these too. I think the colors and layouts are beautiful. Lovely eye looks as always Christine.

Maybe it’s just me but honestly are we complaining about these at $4.99?!?! With a BOGO you could get all four for $14.97!! When you consider the crap that high ends have released this year at upwards of $50-60, it’s ridiculous.

I am all over these and the four pans also. With the addition of the transition shades it seems WnW actually listens to customer feedback. I also love the new geometric design. I think they did a great job and every one excites me.

Anyway those are my two cents 🙂

I love seeing the mattes in Comfort Zone. So far, Wet n Wild seems to be really responsive to consumer feedback! And yeah, the price for these, especially CZ and Rose in the Air, is incredible. I’ve seen lower quality for more than ten times the price (Lancôme Audacity in Paris comes to mind) and these look pretty decent in comparison!

Christine, I am absolutely psyched you reviewed the new wet n wild palettes. It would be really great to see you review more affordable and indie brand makeup line products because I value your opinion and want to hear your thoughts on them. 🙂

Sarah Avatar

OH WOW I’m not gonna lie, I was most worried about Comfort Zone losing that duochrome and not getting matte shades. I’m really excited by it! Rose in the Air is stunning too, very much in the vein of ABH Mod Ren. This is exciting!
