Maybe. 🙂

I will say, however, that walking around the city yesterday I did notice a trend. SO many of the young women has a simple matte neutral eye (think #s 2, 3, 5 from this palette) with a small, black kitten flick wing. From SAs working the counter to shoppers — I was kind of amazed it stood out to be as much as it did.

Hi Claire —

Everyone says that about Viseart. But if you do the math, at full price they are $6.66 per shadow. On sale (usually 20% off), they are $5.16 each. UD singles are are $19 each. MUG shadow pans are $6. The quality of Viseart is superb, so the value is truly there. I know, it’s shelling it all out at once that hurts. 🙂

Lucky enough this is a part of their permanent range ?.
Always enjoyable when good products are permanent. You get to plan it, thinking about some looks, enjoy the idea of getting it instead of just rushing!

This is such a potentially dangerous brand for me, especially with how much I’ve been enjoying their Dark Mattes palette. The appeal is DEFINITELY there. I am having to look through this palette and tell myself, “You have these shades, you have these shades…” but the truth is, there’s a couple gaps this palette would fill, and it’s an absolutely gorgeous array of shades. Last year was the year of AMAZING palette discoveries for me personally. 2017 doesn’t appear to be starting off much differently either! Oh pocketbook, please forgive me!

I have a perfectly adequate neutral mattes palette (the original Tartlette) but I had been thinking that when I finish it I will replace it with the Viseart Neutral Mattes. I might have to change it to this one instead. I am pretty warm-toned and I LOVE these colors. I’ll wait for the review but I’m sure it’ll be excellent.

Sigh, as if the neutral palette isn’t warm enough, now they have a warm matte palette. 🙁 I’m not even cool-toned, but all these (mid-tone to darker) reddish browns just clash on my skin.

I hold my purchase of the cool palette for months for the same reason… Then I realised that the quality of the shadows remains better than most others cool palettes.
There is also the fact that I must use some sort of primer each time… And like I though, over a plain matte Color Tattoo, it goes on without any problem ?

Linda, a question for you if you don’t mind. I’m on the paper side of pale, auburn/gray hair. The Cool Mattes palette looks cool, but looks to have predominantly dark colors. I’m trying to go with cooler tones since I’m going gray. Do you think this palette would work for me?

Linda Avatar

Hi Nancy!

I think they would be beautiful. They can be dark if you build or apply heavily, but you can apply it sheerer even if the over all tone is deep. That said, I’m a mixer. Sometimes I’ll grab a warmer rusty brown to add to the orbital bone area if I think it needs a little bit in that direction. The pink in the palette can be used in that way too. Love that color. I’m really happy with it. I thought it would be my least favorite, but I rely on it. 🙂

I was hesitant to buy the cool matte palette because it didn’t get as good of a review as the natural and dark matte palettes, which I also have, and I like it a lot more than I expected. I’ve been using it more than the other two lately.

So true. Even some of Viseart’s “neutral” palettes are way too warm for me. I can wear some warm palettes but there’s something orange-y to a lot of their colors that just seems to clash violently with my skin tone. (As in seriously frightening!) The Cashmere palette is the one Viseart that works for me. That said, if you can wear these colors, more power to ya!

Viseart has become a guilty pleasure. I ordered this ASAP (along with the Petite Pro palette). But your swatches make me feel less guilty since they look lovely! Besides, I have all of Viseart’s palettes so I have to have this, right? 😉

Linda Avatar

Hi Christina!

Me too on the Viseart (not too) guilty pleasure. I really want both the Petite Pro and this one. I swatched Minx this weekend — OMG — swoon! Do you have that one? If you do what do you think of it? It blew me away.

AB Avatar

I have Minx and love it. I’m quite fair, warm toned, and it really suits me. The colors work well together, and the golden copper (I think #4) is unusual and striking. I also appreciate the travel-friendly palette size.

This has been on my wish list since the first day I saw it. Warm, not-too-dark neutrals are my core no doubt about it. I rationalized not buying this by seeing likely dupes in my collection, but it’s such high quality and all in one place, there is no doubt I’ll cave at some point.

Nancy C Avatar

Aaak, no, it’s not just you. Numbers 1, 10 and 12 look like they need some help. Also, some shades are duped within the palette….like 3 and 5.

Claire L Avatar

Very on trend but too warm for me, too many browns and yellows which look terrible on my skin tone. I prefer my Morphe 35F Fall into Frost palette.

I got so excited when I saw a quick glimpse of this. However I think it is best suited for medium skin tones. For example shade #1 … this would be good for all over or as a brow bone hilight. But not for me as it is too dark for my very light skin 🙁 I do love Viseart though. Maybe they will come out with a “warm tones for porcelain/light/fair skin 😉 I also would like to know what deeper toned women think as well. They could do a version for WOC also 🙂
