I’m glad Viseart is doing a small palette like this. Looks like great quality at a good price point.
I was thinking the same. The $100CAN price point made this brand a bit harder to get into but this size and price range of shades I can see myself using is a great way to get started.
I ordered this while placing the order for the new Warm Mattes palette. I hadn’t even heard about it but being a big Viseart fan, I had to have it! The swatches look great, too.
I LOVE this concept of the baby size for a reasonable price. What a great way to try the brand; based on initial swatches the quality looks on par with their other palettes. Or for someone like me (and I’m guessing a lot of other readers) who already have more eyeshadows than we can count but still want more, ha!
My only hesitation is that the matte side looks an awful lot like the Cashmere Theory palette, which I already own. On the other hand, the shimmer side is so gorgeous it might be worth it anyway. ?
Great of Viseart to offer a smaller / less expensive option! This set thematically reminds me of TF Honeymoon quad, which I have already; that, and because it runs darker and I’m so fair, I’ll probably pass,. As much as I’d like to buy to support this new direction. But, if the reviews are compelling, I’ll probably cave, ha
No secret I am a huge fan of Viseart. This is looks beautiful. If the price point and selection of finishes allows more women to try it, I can’t imagine who will be disappointed. I may jump on this one for travel.
I’m never going to hit pan, so $30 for a Viseart mini shadow kit is perfect. The colors look kind of fall/autumn and are warm, but the quality looks really good, and there’s a mix of mattes and shimmers (yay!!!). Very smart of Viseart to do a very affordable palette, as an introduction to their brand, and stepping stone to their $80 kits. Really hope they do more kits in the future
Looks good!!!
Already have neutral matte and the theory (?). 6 shadow palette. Will not be tempted!!!!!
WOW, those shimmers are pretty. Girl, Viseart is doing their job when it comes to SELLING ME PRODUCTS. These are so gorgeous and this mini palette looks like an eye look (or several looks) I would actually gravitate towards, even in drag makeup! I really can’t take my eyes of those shimmers, Christine. Those are some AMAZING shots!
Quick question: I haven’t tried their shimmer formula. Does it pick up and apply well on a dry brush, or is it one of those formulas that works best with a finger/damp brush/sponge-tip applicator?
I’ve always just used regular brushes (dry) with Viseart’s formula – actually one of their strengths is that they adhere well to bare lids (no primer), both mattes and shimmers!
MUSIC TO MY EARS! This is such a relief — good, high performance shadows without parabens! (At least the Dark Mattes palette doesn’t have them!)
Thank you for asking that Anime, it wouldn’t have occurred to me. I’m not fully acclimated yet to the explosion of beautiful swatch/PITA application the new kinda wet feeling crumbly hyper shiney, foiled etc shadows that are everywhere lately require. I’m not getting on that train willingly.
Thank you for answering that Christine, you already know this but you have my undying respect and admiration for always taking the time to answer your readers questions and for acknowledging their existence. Honestly, at your level most beauty content creators no matter the platform magically only see the questions, comments, and thoughts from other big creators. You outclass ’em all. Hands down. If I wore a hat I’d tip it to you ?
If you find yourself with a denser, almost cream-like eyeshadow (that is really a powder), try flat, firm synthetic brushes or even synthetic eye brushes in general (they “dig” better in a way). Even a concealer brush you might have lying around should work!
Thank you!
I NEED THIS. omg!!!! I would use every shade in here, so it wouldn’t be a waste of cash.
I DO have a birthday coming up too. hmm!!!
Oh my goodness! This looks gorgeous… But Iguess that with with the Cashmere and Minx Theory palettes I am covered. Glad Viseart is making more things that are more worth while for non-pro’s. ?
how close is this to their minx palette??
I came looking for the answer to the same question.
This is right up my alley but I’m concerned that 2-3 of the shades looks as if they contain micro glitter. Is this the case? All forms of glitter even micro glitter is a deal breaker for me. Will you describe the shades as containing micro glitter if they do? I ordered the Sultry muse palette and I was surprised to find several shades with micro glitter. I don’t really understand what you mean when you write frosted finish.
Now to decide between this one, Minx or TF Honeymoon! I love and very much appreciate the inclusion of mattes that span browbone/transition and crease shades that Viseart did here and in their Theory palettes. And yet Honeymoon calls to me *still*.
Nancy, I have Honeymoon and it pulls as a warm plumy neutral on me and I felt had a really end of summer/beginning of fall feel. Maybe you can get this for spring and TF Honeymoon for end of summer! 😉
Same dilemma on my side…. ???
Nancy — in case helpful: my lessons learned re TF Honeymoon: I find the colors muddy when used together; I appreciate the fineness of the shimmer, but they’re all so shimmery that I wish there was a matte or satin in it; and, they’re all relatively dark (but I’m pretty fair, so that’s specific to me, though overall I’d think it better with a lighter color included). So I regret buying it, it was costly and I don’t use it but a dab occasionally. Hope these ‘user experience’ thoughts help.
Thank you for you input! I am also fair so it might be smarter for me to invest in nude dip first ?
Hi Nancy! I keep forgetting to ask you, have you tried any eyeshadow by Makeup Atelier yet? I got a 5 pan palette in my beautylish lucky bag. I had always wanted to try the brand but never got around to it and I am regretting that. The mattes made me giggle in delight. I GIGGLED. I’m definitely going to explore the brand further. If you haven’t tried them, give them a whirl. Even with my overcrowded collection I’m glad I know. If you have tried them any suggestions?
Anyone else have MUA suggestions?
Do you have any word on if the shades are new, or if they’re similar to the shades in their 6 pan palettes? they look like a combination of the cashmere and minx palettes.
How pretty is that eye pic! Excellent job and my fav eye pic of the millions I obsess over lol
Ugh these are so pretty. Will await your review to see if the mini size is of any value.
I know it’s probably a weird thing but I actually don’t like palettes that arrange mattes on one side and shimmers on the other. I feel like I’ll just end up using one side or the other and not have a tendency to mix and match. Totally get that’s a “me” problem, LOL.
Oh how pretty. That #8 shade – I’m finally starting to move a bit more into colours like that so I may need this little palette in my life especially since all the other colours are very appealing too! I hope Sephora in Canada will be carrying it and that the price won’t end up being $55 or more!
I’m really glad they’re doing a smaller one for a reasonable price. The colors are nice but they just aren’t unique enough for me to want to purchase this. I hope they come out with other smaller options.
I love the concept. I’m on the fence for the colors in terms of the warmness to them. I think I might be able to work around that. I’m glad they offered something really portable at a good price, get people hooked in!
These look very nice, but I probably have dupes, maybe even Viseart dupes, for a lot of the colors, so I think I’ll wait for your review.
Love the eye look you created with this little gem!
This is pretty, but I’m going to pass. I picked up both the Paris Nudes and Cool Matte palettes at Muse Beauty Pro right before Christmas, since they had a great sale where you could get any two of the 12-pan palettes and two full-size brushes for under $130. Between those and picking up a Laura Geller 5-pan baked shadow palette and a few Kevin Aucoin shadows on Hautelook, I’m pretty well stocked on eye shadow now, especially since I don’t wear it that often!
This might be a great way to finally try Viseart! This is beautiful and at a reasonable price!
I hope this will be the start of more smaller, less expensive palettes to come. These are gorgeous, but I have dupes for all the shades. This would be a great way to try their formula, though.
That looks good! Small palettes are the way to go and the shades look beautiful.
I’d have my eye on this if I didn’t already have the Ciate x Chloe Morello palette which looks a bit similar but with more shades. Will be interested to see how it compares when you review it!
Once again, I am in awe of your skills. If blending & placement were an Olympic sport you’d be Fort Knox with all the gold!!
Beautiful colors and finishes. Also an excellent price point to try the brand. I’ve wanted to try for so long.
These pans look removable and the palette features a mirror. If Christine’s review is favorable, I think I may snap it up.
Lovely
This looks like a nice palette. My type of colors with a just right ratio of mattes to shimmers. I just might be tempted.
Pros: Love that it encompasses mattes and shimmers, has light, midtone and dark shades, can make lots of complete eye looks with it, the price point is great, especially if the quality is on par with their larger palettes, small compact form factor with a mirror, great for travel.
Cons: Please come out with a more cool & neutral toned palette. Please!
Your eye look is beautiful!
Such a cute palette! Beautiful eye look, Christine!
Can’t wait to see how this compares to the full size palettes. At this price point I can’t wait until Sephora gets it!
The colors in this palette are so gorgeous! It’s a must for traveling.
I don’t know how I missed this reviewvbut love the colors and quality and have used only thesevsibce purchasing.
