Sneak Peek: Tarte Blush Bazaar Amazonian Clay Blush Palette

Tarte Blush Bazaar Amazonian Clay Blush Palette

Tarte Blush Bazaar Amazonian Clay Blush Palette ($44.00 for 0.84 oz.) is a double-sided palette that has five shades on each side for a total of 10 cheek colors. There is one highlighter on each side, so the palette contains eight blushes and two highlighters.

First Impressions

It seemed typical for Tarte’s blush releases with some shades being pigmented and others being more buildable. There was one absolute dud, both from swatching and after applying once to the face (for photos), which was Dainty–it had to be scraped to get any payoff at all. In general, Tarte’s formula wears eight to ten hours on me but doesn’t get to the 12-hours as promised, and as far as I’m aware, they haven’t tweaked the formula, so I imagine similar wear is forthcoming. The texture of the blushes, overall, seemed to be less powdery but as a result, were a bit firmer in the pan as well.

Holy moly you are cranking out the posts today! These look pretty but I am thinking the mini tarte amazonian set is a bit more appealing to me. bummer about Dainty though.

Hmmm, from the promo pic, I was expecting a much wider range of shades, but many of these colors look similar to each other (pinks and peaches), and many of the swatches don’t look as good as the permanent singles. IDK, but really disappointed so far

Even if these were all really good, this palette pretty much sums up almost all blush palettes for me – a few colours that are perfect for me and a few that are totally not flattering or natural looking for my colouring. I never quite get why they put both warm and cool tones in one blush palette when many of us (not all, but certainly many) gravitate toward one or the other but not both.

I also have to say, Christine, that the number of products and collections and releases that you’re reviewing is staggering. Just today, new threads seem to be added even faster than I can keep up with them. I go to make a cup of coffee and come back to find THREE or FOUR new threads in the time that’s elapsed.

Hmmmm. Blush is one of my weaknesses. As an inveterate mixer of shades, this makes me swoon.

As a recent convert to the Tarte blush experience (Paaarty introduced me to a Tarte blushes) color me impressed. I think the Dainty issue could work well in layers, which renders it a positive, not a negative.

I bought this as soon as it came out. I love this palette so much. It’s pretty much a perfect travel blush palette for me. In the past, I’ve taken my Tarte Pin-up Girl Palette, but this one has more variety and takes up less space. Plus, I won’t have to pack separate highlighters. I have neutral undertones, so I wear pinks and peaches. I love that it has so many shades, and that one side is pinks with a pink HL, and the other is more peach/coral and has a gold HL. The packaging is beautiful.

I got mine in the mail today! I like the mix of cool and warm, and highlights. Looking forward to your review to see how these compare to their regular formula that I only have one mini of (so I can’t say if this is the same, better, or worse than the regulars).

Just a quick question, are these made in China? Because that is what I dislike about tarte holiday sets, I truly believe that is why the quality is never the same.

Oh wow, I’m really glad I didn’t end up buying this. I had it in my Sephora cart and almost bought it because the colors looked really unique/reddish on their page, but looking at them here the only one I can’t easily dupe is Extraordinary. Thank you for the swatches, Christine!

I’m surprised that these are all so similar tonally. A lot of blush oxidizes muddy orange on me unless it’s a very distinct shade – cool tones help a lot.

These look like they would all read orange on me, personally.

Oof, these shades are kinda similar to eachother, lots of peaches and corals. And the size is absolutely huge. I don’t get the appeal… but different strokes!

I’m still not on board with holiday palettes being made in China when the permanent range is made in the US. And anyway, the colors are close enough to each other that several would end up looking almost identical once blended on the cheeks – especially on my skin, everything tends to turn warm.
