Swatches look lovely, Christine! I’m curious about the pan size. Are they smaller than a standard 26mm size? I find it so hard to gauge that kind of detail from photos. Thx!
Yes, they are smaller.
Christine, you’re the queen. Those are beautiful swatch. I might have to pick this up. ?
Thank you for the swatches!!
I’m glad I stopped myself impulse buying this now, it’s too many colors that I either already have or won’t use much, especially since I don’t really have any events to dress up/put glam makeup on this year!
Easy pass. I no longer buy any palette that has more shimmers than mattes. Personal preference only — the older I get, the more that shimmers bring out the crepe-iness of my eyelids.
Man, I keep going back and forth in my head about this one! On the one hand, I do have the Dark Star Palette from Star Wars, plus Gold Standard, Corruption and Bronze in other PML palettes. On the other, I am missing 3 shades from the Golden Galaxy palette and the 6 in the middle row. But I definitely have dupes for Dragonfly! Oy vey!
Nancy, I was in the same boat, but, purchased it. The gorgeous look Mel created with the small gold Star Wars palette has stayed with me all year. Can’t wait to recreate!
Bronze Nebula, Dragonfly, and Megabyte…so pretty. I’d love these as singles. But pinks don’t look good on me. I do enjoy looks on others though. Can’t wait see more eye looks. ?
Wow, this swatches well. Thinking about getting it during the Sephora f and f sale.
Is there any variation in color between the Star Wars versions and these or are they identical? Thanks in advance!
The swatches look stunning – but I think it’s a beauty dilema if you have already purchased some of PMG’s previous palettes. There are too many pink/red shades in this offering for me personally, but I do love all the shimmers though. Your eye looks are just beautiful Christine – you are so talented.
I’m glad these are colors I wouldn’t use, since i find pinks pretty unflattering on me. Otherwise I think I would have been far too tempted. (Still kinda tempted, tbh)
Thank you so much for the swatches! I ordered this the second it went live on the Pat McGrath website but im still waiting for it to ship. Hoping it ships soon because I’m even more excited after seeing these swatches! Has anyone who ordered it as soon as it launched gotten a shipping email yet?
I ordered mine maybe an hour or two after launch (I forgot to set an alarm)!
I have not. In fact yesterday I emailed them about this and received a very generic answer. First I received this:
“Thank you for contacting Pat McGrath Labs Customer Care.
Due to COVID-19, orders may be delayed up to 5-7 business days. We’ll email you when your order ships. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience.
We are currently experiencing extremely high volume and will be in contact within 48-72 hours excluding Holidays. Kindly refrain from sending multiple emails as it slows the response time.
Please follow us on social media for information on upcoming launches. You are also welcome to visit our FAQ page for information on frequently asked questions.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to assisting you.

Also, I ordered mine within minutes of it going live. 🙂
Same, no shipping confirmation yet. Can’t wait!
I ordered it within 10 minutes after it launched and I still haven’t gotten a shipping email yet either. Customer service told me that it was indeed coming, and that I should expect to wait longer during launches and promotions and to expect delays due to Covid, but in hindsight, I think I probably should have waited for Sephora to have it. I’ve never waited this long for a company to ship before! My order still says “unfulfilled”. It’s my first time ordering from the PML site and I can’t say that I’m impressed yet 🙁
I ordered quickly as well…right at launch time because that’s right around the start of my work day, and mine still has not shipped. I also ordered the Glamlite palette and it says it shipped but a label has been created for a week without it being shipped. I ordered right at launch time to the minute on 9/12. I dunno, y’all…it’s keeping me from buying other things. At least I’ll get surprises in the mail at some point? lol
I ordered day of initial release and got my email today. It claims I’ll get it on Tuesday but I don’t believe that bc UPS says it’s waiting for the package.
My experience with PML was that it took around 2 wks to get a shipping notification then it took another week to receive the goods. I think they get so many orders that they are bombarded, I never get my hopes up any more that it will ship quickly, it’s just not going to happen 🙁 But it’s worth the wait!
I ordered it right after it went live and received mine a couple of days ago (Wednesday?). I’m so happy with it, the quality seems the same (if not slightly better) compared with the original Star Wars shades. Dragonfly is stunning.
Hi! Got my shipping email today, and mine arrives on Monday the 12th, according to my tracking. Can’t wait! It better arrive as scheduled!
Mine finally shipped and is supposed to be delivered tomorrow! Im so excited, I cant wait for it to arrive
As I am PMG heavy in my stash, I feel zero need for this one. Okay, so I am madly disappointed.
That said, this is a really good opportunity to get LE palette colours which were sold out in a flash .
Still madly disappointed though. There better be something in the works closder to Christmas.
OH YES PLEASE!
I’m SO excited for this palette. It looks beautiful! Hopefully I’ll get it in the mail this week.
Christine the swatches are gorgeous. Thank you for getting to them so quickly.
I think I’ll wait on your review before deciding on this. I have dupes for a lot of these colors and won’t have much occasion to wear the one’s I don’t have due to covid. This is super fun though and would be nice to pair with a matte palette.
Some lovely shades that would be great singles, but as a whole a bit too red, warm, and dark for me.
I was on the fence about ordering but I did anyway…got it two days ago and it really is beautiful and the colors are more wearable than I would have guessed. (I tend to warm neutral looks…) I’m very glad I purchased it.
Darling Everyone and Christine,
I only count 17 swatches. Did you mention this anywhere or am I going blind? It looks like Cosmik is missing. First set of six left side bottom corner. I know it’s a redo right? I’m still fresh to PM; can you believe this is my first splurge on Mother Pat? Gee, I don’t feel like I’ve earned that right yet, to call her that name. I jumped when it went online, I couldn’t believe my eyes at the price. I thought this must be because it’s a Christmas special?? (HOPE HOPE) Plus, I just knew something had to give somewhere else, like the packaging and pan size, which truthfully I don’t care. I am just happy to get my hands on a treasure trove at a “not so bad” price, and decide whether I want to then splurge on anything else in the line. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed, as the first few guesses over this palette suggested on YouTube before anyone had gotten their hands on it. Pfft. Telling me to put off buying it just because the price was too low it couldn’t possibly be standard quality. Surprise surprise, it’s Star Wars specials and new content, in very pretty packaging, and a whopping 18 shades. There you go, naysayers. Stop jumping the gun just to be out there first. Don’t they feel silly now? I’m so happy you are upbeat and ready to give things a look before you pass judgement. We are so fortunate we have you on the frontlines, lol! Your content is what I look forward to each day. And your colorful eye looks knock me out! I’ve got the same visions…the more colors the happier I feel!!
Finished with my lecture, hope I made you all chuckle too ??❤️❤️?????
Lots of Love to All,
April
Hi April,
There were 18, but a shade got added a second time (it was a repeat), and then there was an error in the system. Unfortunately, I missed fixing it manually. It should be fixed now – so sorry!
