Sneak Peek: NARS Pop Goes the Easel Photos & Swatches
NEW FROM NARS
Pop Goes the Easel
Here are swatches the three new powder blushes and four new Velvet Lip Glides from the limited edition NARS Pop Goes the Easel Collection (a Nordstrom exclusive). Full reviews to come! 🙂
The blushes appear to be underwhelming! I really like the colour of “Suck” lip gloss though!
The lip glosses look divine!
The only item I’m liking here at all is Impossible Red. Which appears to be a cherry infused dark coral or just plain old’ rose? Idk , but I like it.
But those blushes….oh dear. And that Lip Glide called “Suck” goes beyond poor taste. I’m not wearing something referencing felatio. Or any other sex act, for that matter.
Well said Nancy. I agree on all counts.
Will you be reviewing the Sheer Multiples in the collection too?
Sorry, I did not purchase those!
I caved in and bought Peep Show blush. It is a beautiful grapefruit color and is easy to apply. Also, bought the Imposdible Red lip glide which is a gorgeous pinky red. I just bought Navagiio Beach multiple. A very nice formula that melts into the skin and doesn’t accentuate pores. Don’t know if I will let it because I have Becca’s Opal highlighter and Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight highlighter and the NARS is more subtle than both of those. I feel guilty purchasing it but it is more subtle than both of those which I like and I don’t have any cream highlighters.
I’m not offended by sexual references, and personally couldn’t care less if companies want to go down that road, but — specifically with NARS — it’s starting to feel a little over the top. It’s kind of like listening to someone go on and on in a conversation about how amazing sex is and how important it is to them, and slowly realizing they’re overcompensating for something.
I’m not easy offended either, but it’s getting to a point where almost every brand has multiple products with “taboo” names. It used to have a bit of an allure to it. You know, you’d put on your lipstick with its tongue-in-cheek naughty name, and you’d feel kind of like you had a sexy little secret nobody knew about but you. But now, they’re all trying to push the shock value of the product names, and it’s just so darn common. Kat Von D, “underage,” anyone? Ew.
Nars is really digging at the bottom of the barrel for those names…. Pretty or not, I am not buying products with offensive names. Grow up Nars!
Compared with Urban Decay’s druggie & junkie, these seem tame in comparison. Plus, when one of Nars’ biggest sellers is Orgasm… I think that’s pretty much just part of their company branding.
Misconduct blush is BOMB. oh my goodness that’s stunning!!!
I’m wondering if the quality control was off for this collection? My Misconduct looks totally different…it’s probably one of the prettiest blushes I’ve purchased in a long time!
I’ll wait for your review, but those pinks are certainly speaking to me!
I kind of like the Misconduct blush, but the rest is a bit meh for me. I might easily change my mind if the are stellar performance blushes and glosses though-
