YIKES, talk about streak central. For $18 I’d like a better coverage. These look really drying and not too buildable? The dark pink looks good but the rest falls flat. The tube is also very Hourglass and Nicka K Cosmetics like.

It’s a no for me off the swatches.

These seem difficult to use and unless you have a steady hand or great lip brushes, you’ll end up look like Tammy Faye or the Joker.

Ooh, definitely dry. Some better than others, but both individual shades and the whole release look very uneven. Fussy. I hate fussy. And these look like three layers of balming before app…I’ll pass.

The packaging looks so much like that of the very spendy Hourglass liquid lipsticks from a few years ago (maybe they’re still around). But these look so dry and dull and some of them seem to be creepy and smeary even though they look so dry (most noticeable with Electric Slide). Your poor lips after swatching/testing all of these.

Thank you for posting this today, I would have been tempted to order Twerk tomorrow if I hadn’t seen how dry, sheer and patchy it looks on! Some of these colors look downright chalky.

Also I know Marlena has said that MUG is moving away from drug store pricing and into more of a mid-range price tier, between drug store and beauty store prices… But $18 for a liquid lipstick is on par with UD, and just two dollars less than KvD’s far superior liquid lipstick.

Yeah, after I left this comment, I got an email from MUG touting them with the correct price. $12 does seem fair, since the Sephora brand liquid lipsticks are $14. Or rather, it seems fair if any of these are worth wearing! Will be interested to see your full review for how long they wear, how drying they are, etc.

Pretty shades here but yikes! For those of us who have perpetually dry lips, these look like kryptonite. I’m (almost) ready to be done with matte or semi-matte lip products. Bring back a glossy lip!

Oh, no. Personally, I’ll often put up with a subpar formula if the color is unique, but even deep green is dupable now! I don’t really understand how this product is supposed to fit into their line… From the name, I thought it was going to be something in between other liquid lipstick extremes, like ColourPop’s Ultra Satins; flexible and not super-matte, but not glossy. I guess their Plush Mattes were closer to that, though! The streakiness IS reminiscent of the true liquid stains of old.
The packaging actually reminds me of Marc Jacobs. Not a fan of really short cap/handles…I have long fingers!

I just saw their video on YouTube and there were so many that looked so pretty! I immediately checked here to see if I could find realistic swatches and I’m glad I did. None of them look pretty enough to spend money on. I still support MUG, but I have to say I think they were much better when they first started.

Another MUG flop.
Firstly, packaging indeed looks like a rip off from Marc Jacobs/Hourglass
Secondly, the name is hella misleading! I thought “creme stain” will refer to them being more velvety or even glossy – they look uncomfortably dry. Why not calling it liquid lipstick?
Thirdly, in her video Marlena showed a bunch of photoshopped images of product on lips and they look not much like Temptalia’s. I really appreciate honest pics because this product looks awfully streaky and uneven. The finish is just too “dry” for my liking to waste my time applying these
Pass!

Yiiiiiiiiikes. I used to love MUG but the price is spiking on their products as they move towards mid-end and the quality is dropping. It’s a hard pass on these from me. The only things I’ll consider from the brand are the traditional shadows and blushes anymore–none of the lipsticks look at all worth the money!

Oh wow, these look astoundingly awful 🙁 Twerk looks like what happens if you chew a ballpoint pen and accidentally break it open LOL
