This looks a great value palette, as you said, I’d wear all of those shadows! Very well thought out, IMO. Would purchase if I hadn’t spent so much recently! but it’s good they’re permanent shades, is the palette permanent too? If so I might buy it next year :-).
Be still, my aching wallet!
This looks wonderful! Im waiting to see what the Colourpop release looks like. Makeup Forever always does great shadows!!!
This an awesome deal, but I already have dupes in my stash –the UD Naked palettes for neutrals and UD Spectrum for the colorful shadows. Bummer. I think that Electric Purple is a pressed pigment, not a shadow
I really like this palette, but have a fairly large number of the shadows already. Definitely shows significant savings and good value.
I stewed about this all day in the back of my mind.. the shades I already have in my stash, the absence of matte shades.. then realized this palette costs less than 3 of the single shadows! The probability of me ever coming close to hitting pan is ridiculously slim. So hells yes, I’m grabbing this. Petrol blue has been on my wishlist forever (I have the MUFE petrol blue pencil which I love) and Fig and Black Rose seal the deal for me. I do not have those three. Done.
Looks pretty good to me! But, I love MUFE artist shadows! I had to get this one upon release even though I have almost half the shadows already. The deal was too good to pass up in order to add the other shadows to my collection.
I’ve had my eye on this palette since it was announced! The Artist Shadow formula is so nice to work with! I just have one question… If I already have the Artist Shadow Palette #2, should I go for this or palette #1?
Really just depends on which palette you’d use more often, I think!
This palette is lovely, but I wish there were some matte transition shades.
It’s a beauty of a palette but I already have a few of the shades so would probably have little use for this (especially as I just came home with yet another eyeshadow palette today!).
I had been waiting for you to review this. So excited to hear your thoughts! I’m getting this shipped to my home in some weeks. 🙂 It will be my first adventure in MUFE eyeshadows.
Lmk when they come out with a matte artist es palette. Until then, not interested. Good shimmery es is easy to make, it’s the good matte es that impress.
I already filled up a palette with these, so I’m (mostly) done buying them. The matte formula is my favorite by FAR, like 75% of the ones I bought are matte. Best mattes I’ve ever used. If they had released a palettes of mattes I would have fainted.
This is a gorgeous palette! Like you, though, I’ve wondered why they haven’t included many mattes in their recent palettes. When I do use shadow I either use mattes or mattes with a slight, natural sheen, so MUFE’s palettes have been passes for me. I have a theory, but I’ve done ZERO RESEARCH on the matter, this is just a quick reply, so please don’t hold me to this:
The only thing I can think is maybe it’s more cost-effective to produce the satin, shimmer, and metallic shades in palettes like this. I’m sure it probably takes more pigment to produce a good matte which is why many brands tend to have mattes that are either dry and dusty with stellar pigmentation, or have a good texture but lack tend to be sheerer. So I guess they’d rather put out a highly affordable palette with few or no mattes than release one with a bunch of mattes and have to hike up the price.
The swatches look incredible- I just wish there were more red/orange shades to justify my purchasing this.
I would really like to try these shadows and the price is good but, I wonder why they included three different blue shadows? I don’t wear blue eyeshadow very often so they wouldn’t get much use. Oh, well. Maybe next palette!
This palette looks absolutely amazing! I’m a huge fan of Make Up For Ever but have never tried their eyeshadows! The colour payoff and intensity of these eyeshadows look incredible, definitely a product which is going on my list of make-up to buy! Thanks so much for sharing xx

I love the quality, BUT it is very similar to another palette that I already have (Studio Case), and I don’t need another Lagoon Blue, same blue eyeshadow… I wish they you try a totally new combination (and I would jump onto it!)
Christine- are the pans in the palette removable/ would they fit in the MUFE Artist Shadow Custom Palette Case (the duo and trio cases that Sephora sells)
They are glued in as far as I can tell (I can’t seem to move them or lift them out at all with tweezers), and they aren’t full-sized, so they will not fit the regular duos/trios.
Thanks for the preview! I am looking forward to your review! I am on the fence. It is a great value, but I I am just being picky I guess. There are many lighter shades and some repeats, so I am just debating wether to buy this or some more singles. This is a great value and high quality product. Maybe I will do both. Either way MUFE is getting my money!
Maybe they don’t include Mattes because they know people will buy the matte singles and they make more money? Also it seems as if they include some shades that people may not think to buy otherwise and introduce them to other unusual selections. If they put out a palette of neutral mattes we’d probably run through the glass at Sephora!
To your question, Christine: A resounding YES! Why don’t they give us Pink Brown? And a few other very appealing mattes? I don’t get it!
But I took the jump on Saturday and ordered this. I can hardly wait till I get mine!
they probably shy away from mattes because i feel like their mattes don’t have that special gel formula that they’re touting. They fell like ordinary mattes to me.
Come On! My wish list is getting longer! The colors looks amazing (except for 2 which is still great!).
Lots of gorgeous blues in there – but no greens or greys. Hmmm.
Still, a beautiful palette.
Oh my, so lovely!
Dang, this looks like a winner!
I was so excited about this and I ordered it. And hated it. Immediately took it back. The pigment wasn’t good at all. I Took it back to sephora and made the ladies swatch it too and they were also surprised. I loved the packaging
This is way better than the Tarte and Too Faced Holiday collections . It has the perfect combination of neutrals and colorful shadows?
