For summer, there are five new shades of ColourPop Lippie Stix, plus a six-piece set called Sundays in Silverlake. As promised, here are swatches! 🙂 I’m working through these and will try to review them as I can.

I’ve tried comparing, but sometimes photos can be deceiving and such… Which do you think is the brightest color: Luau here, Maybelline’s Electric Orange or MAC’s Morange?

Electric Orange/Morange will be brighter, because they are both bright and deep. Luau is lighter overall.
ehrmagaad..so many beautiful colours!! Toucan..topunga….cowabunga( maybe not but it sounds like it could be another name)..thirsty..cant keep up with the names but there are some really gorgeous ones on there! Cougar in particular looks like it would make your teeth look SUPER SUPER white! Thanks for the swatches Christine…so helpful as always.

I get so excited about ColourPop’s new products EVERY time! Can’t wait until the day they announce they’ll start shipping to Europe. Pretty sure I’ll order a ton of products… My favourite of these are Toucan, Topanga and Cougar!

I have Topanga and Toucan in my order on their way. I really wish I would have ordered the other singles now because they look good. The box set-idk. I am always on the fence with those since there is no deal given-which is a mystery to me in tself. I like Parker a lot. But, the others seem pretty dupable to me. They are pretty but, I think it would just add to my mess possibly. So, I am extremely grateful you got that and the other ones too! Can’t wait for the reviews!
It would be nice if they did a little deal, though I expect their margins are tighter and aren’t doing enough volume (yet) / why discount if it is selling. I mean, you have NYX who has really low price points who does do 20-40% off sales from time to time, but they likely do a much bigger volume and I don’t think they do as much USA-based production (which can sometimes increase costs, though not always!).
I understand.it’s low cost anyway. But,i don’t get the whole point of not having them as individuals. But , I guess that makes those who love one or two maybe buy all. Now I look at it and I like it,lol! I just don’t reach for my CP lippies that much now. I think it’s mostly a storage issue at this point because they are great. Or..I just have too many that are just as good or better and there are only so many days in a yr and I’m trying to be more selective for that reason!
It’s true – less reasons to keep it as a set only since there is no discount!

topanga and parker are so pretty! I love colourpop so much, the lippie stix that I have are brink, and lumiere so far!

I like a creamy finish! Topanga looks and Chella look really pretty.
P.S.: I really get annoyed sometimes by that music chart ad in your side bar. It keeps auto playing and it messes up every Youtube song I’m trying to listen to.

I bought Toucan and Luau but just didn’t care for the formulas. Toucan (matte) was really dry and stiff and painful to apply. Luau settled immediately in lines and around flakes (would probably be fine over a liner, though). I bought a satin lippie (Fancy) and liked that one much better. So I need to go back for Topanga STAT!

I ordered Toucan and Luau! I’m glad to see those look as beautiful on the lips as I was hoping just from swatches alone. I’m supposed to receive my package on Saturday!

Once I finish these, I should have a good general idea, but I haven’t tried that many of their lipsticks (not like their eyeshadows!).

Sticky Sweet, Smoke N Whistles, and I’m trying Eyeshadows in Flux, Beauty Call, Cowboy, Taco, Daddy, Lace, and I Heart This, and I’m also trying their lippies in Toucan, LBB, I Heart This as well as the I a heart This lip pencil, as it’s my natural lip color.. So it’s something fun and colorful to open up and play with! Man I hope I can use these over foundation and they don’t react adversely! But I couldn’t help myself! Is that bad? I mean, I didn’t want to pay shipping either! LOL! Love you, Christine! I hope you’re able to get them soon! :* xoxo! <3

Hi, do you think it’s worth getting Toucan if I have Cougar? Hard to tell from swatches, they look so similar – could you describe the difference please?
Toucan is warmer and more matte.

I wonder if the shade “Pasties” is supposed to be pronounced like the nipple covers or like the English meat pie, pasty. 😛 I love some of these colors, but a few look a bit too slippy for my preference.

Love them all, except for Polliwog. It looks too yellow for me. I don’t think I could pull off the orange one, but it is pretty.
Luau is so summery!
I just ordered Toucan (in my first purchase ever!) last night, so I’m excited to see that it looks exactly like the kind of colors I like. Cougar is also gorgeous, but I’m waiting for reviews to come in before purchasing the set.

I’ve been looking for a good orange and I like that Luau is hyper glossy. I get a little tired of mattes at times.
It’s nice to have some variety in finishes! I’m actually not a matte lip fan, haha, which makes me the REALLY odd one out.
As soon as I saw Cougar, I thought of MAC’s Julia Petite collection “Petite Red”… Compared your swatches online and yup they look sooooooo similar! This might be a good dupe but I don’t actually own Cougar! Let me know what you think Christine!
It’s somewhat similar! The big difference is that Petite Red looks warmer in comparison!

At the risk of seeming negative, I’m so over the term “Cougar.” And yeah, it’s an age thing.
Having said that, Luau is really pretty, and I may have to add it to my next ColourPop order.
I’d also like to add that I really appreciate that you review brands like NYX and ColourPop. As much as I can appreciate the qualities of [insert brand that sells $50 lipsticks here], it’s just not realistic for some of us. Thank you!!!

When I find good, budget brands, it’s very exciting, because I love being able to share those budget finds but also to build up dupes for more expensive products.
omg, I want them all! Their formula for the lipsticks really looks comfortable to wear, especially the glossy finish, it just looks so juicy!

I can’t make up my mind if I’m tempted by that six-pack or not. If Cougar is as perfect for me as I think it will be, and I can wear at least a couple of the other shades too, it might be worth the $30 price tag. At the same time though, I’m pretty sure Ash and Chella will be ghastly on me… I wonder if I could gift those? Decisions, decisions…. (look at me, trying to justify spending even *more* money with Colourpop. I’m mentally renaming it Colourcrack, I swear!)

Not yet. “Yet” being the operative word, of course. I’m telling myself that I’ll wait until Boba and Coconut are back in stock before placing another order. My budget and makeup storage drawer are thanking me, but my color craving is crying! LOL
These are all such gorgeous, fun shades! ‘Nuff said! Although I have a ton of lipsticks already, I have to get the Sundays in Silverlake collection. Those brighter shades are just beautiful!
