The Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector look very white on your skin but I notice there is a very slight pink shift on my fair skin tone. So strange. lol
I am still debating getting this. I have Champagne pop but I know Pearl would look good on my fair/light skin. I would have to use the copper shade as an eyeshadow or a blush.
This highlighter palette is LIFE! Being NW50 and not having any of these shades in my collection, I wasn’t sure how this was going to translate on my skin. Especially Pearl. I have used all of these items separately and mixed (Pearl and Champange Pop) and they don’t come off ashy at all! I already own Opal and Rose Gold in the regular packaging, but I wasn’t sure if the quality would be the same…it is! It’s still buttery and finely milled. You need this palette (and the Becca Afterglow Palette) in your makeup collection!
I did snag this one (still might grab Afterglow, but I knew I wanted this one for sure) and ended up loving Pearl and Blushed Copper a lot more than Champagne Pop on my fair skin tone! Blushed Copper has surprisingly great staying power on me. Pearl didn’t seem as intensely pigmented as Opal but that’s probably a good thing for how light it is.
One thing that did bug me is I think the packaging is somehow wonky on mine. It doesn’t like to close. Maybe it got warped by heat in transport.
It seems like Becca might have been more successful releasing 2 palettes geared towards lighter and deeper skintones – Maybe it could have been Pearl/Moonstone/Champagne and Champagne/Copper/Topaz ? The palette looks pretty, but I don’t see how I could use all 3 shades.
Pearl/Moonstone/Champagne would be perfect for me. lol Although Pearl+Champagne also the same as Moonstone it’s just that Moonstone is a finer particle size.
I’m with you. That would be a great palette for fair skin.
That’s a great idea!
Use Blushed Copper as a blush topper!
I’ve been contemplating this one, but I think I’m just going to wait for Pearl to released by itself.
Aaaah the prettiness of it!!! 🙂
I ended up returning it. I have full sizes of champagne & copper. I also have the afterglow palette. Hopefully individual pressed pearl will be coming soon that’s what i really want. I got Kevyn Aucoin Vol II instead I’ve always wanted a celestial powder. I think if they would have made a limited edition 3rd shade instead of a permanent color then it would be worth it.
Sooo utterly tempting! But I just pre-saled MAC Shaft Of Gold, and that one looks splendid on my SFLF C4.5 or Pro Longwear (reg. liquid) NC40 skintone! Like a blushing highlighter? Or a highlighting blush?
As a side, I am trying to understand why in Pro Longwear is NC40 LIGHTER than NC35? Very perplexed!
I got the Becca Afterglow Palette for $ 40 and it contains 5 products ( 3 highlighters and 2 blushes) but this one is $ 35 for only 3 products. This one here has bigger pans and is slightly cheaper by the oz, but I like the variety and color combos in the Afterglow better. Also, someone who’s fair enough to wear Pearl may find Blush Copper too dark/warm and vice versa. But I have to say, I thought some of the colors in Afterglow were going to be too warm/orangey for me, but they are so finely milled that they blend right into my skin, and I can pull them off as blushes or spot highlighters.
I’m getting this in the mail tomorrow. I’m so excited for pearl. it looked a little chalky on your skin… but I’m NC5-ish, so we’ll see how it works out on very pale skin. I LOVE (and own the full size) moonstone, so we’ll see how it stacks up. I wish Opal would have been included instead of Champagne Pop, but I’m happy to try it.
I want to love this palette but I just don’t! The only shade worth having is champagne pop and I already own it. This is a pass for me.
Bought this for travel and a backup in case it break, and happy I did! It’s a great and versatile little palette! I have to remind myself to use it on my eyes.
I like the first two colours, but the third colour is a little too orange for me. It’s a pretty palette nonetheless.
I was totally psyched about this palette until I heard that Blushed Copper was one of the shades. That bronzey-orange is like a death sentence for pale skin! Even sheered out it still looks pretty strong. 🙁
It works as an eyeshadow.
I’m going to pass on this and wait for the Pearl powder in full size. Been waiting forever and a day for that one…I want Becca to create a platinum shade too.
