I think smashbox needs to re-evalulate the packaging for those glosses. It is terrible. Huge applicator that pulls out too much product leads to the messiest application ever.

The reference to “Image Factory” — a term associated with Andy Warhol — is interesting and makes me think Smashbox is trying to get a jump start on the much-anticipated NARS’ Andy Warhol collection this October.

The palettes sound/look like they are incorporating previous Smashbox shades. As an FYI to anyone who is interested, Sephora currently has a 4-quad Smashbox palette on sale for $10 with many of those same colours! Two palettes, in fact, and both are on sale. It’s called the Masterclass Ultimate Eyes Quad or something like that. I bought the Hazel Eyes ones and it has the pink nude (Alabaster), shimmery slate (Thunder) and matte eggplant (Black Currant) from the first palette and the slightly olive-y taupe (Sandstorm) that is in the 2nd palette in the middle of the bottom row. The other Smashbox palette on sale at Sephora has 3 shades from the 2nd palette and 1 from the first and is labeled Brown Eyes, I believe. I really love the smooth, buttery, silky and very highly pigmented matte Black Currant and the shimmery slate grey (Thunder) is lovely too. Anyway, 2 of those Sephora palettes on sale come to $20 for 8 colours (7 if the grey is duplicated in both, which it might be, though I can’t recall now for sure). That amount is much cheaper than getting one palette, let alone two. Just an FYI for anyone who is interested.

Those “airbrushed whipped cheek” blushes look really lovely and I’m definitely going to check them out. I’m often intrigued by what Smashbox has. It would be nice to have reviews for it, in addition to some other less-featured brands like Two Face, Kevyn Aucoin, YSL, etc.

I was one of the unfortunate buyers of that $10 Smashbox quad. If it’s any representation of their quality, I’ll definitely pass on this collection. The fallout on that $10 Smashbox quad was R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S. I had to take off my foundation and start over! >:-|

🙁 I guess I was lucky because I haven’t experienced any fallout with mine. Which one did you get? The Hazel eyes or the Brown (?) one? Was there one colour which was problematic for you or all of them? Fallout which requires taking off your foundation and starting over… yikes.

I hate not having a store close to me. I really want to try the blushes but i wonder if Dusty Rose works on cool skin tones, I love how Berry Bliss looks but I’m a bit fair and I’m looking for something that will look “more natural” 🙁
