Sephora Satin Hydrating Lipstick Swatches (x20)

Sephora Satin Hydrating Lipstick ($15.00 for 0.12 oz.) just debuted this week online and is available in 20 shades. It may be a bit before you’ll see reviews of these go live–somehow, I’m buried under lip products again!–but my early impressions are that it’s a solid, traditional lipstick formula. I didn’t know it was coming, but all Sephora Collection products are 20% off through the 14th.

The texture was smooth, lightweight, and creamy and felt in-between MAC’s Amplified lipstick finish (but this had more slip) and Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche (which was thicker and more emollient). I don’t expect super long-wear, but so far, they are comfortable, lightly hydrating, and pigmented. Here are swatches!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

These sound REALLY promising! I loved both the Amplified formula from MAC and Bite’s Amuse Bouche. I’m just so glad these are not MATTE – I’m so sick of matte lipsticks. Several of these colours really appeal to me and names of the shades are nice and positive rather than tacky and crass. Can’t complain about the price, either.
