I prefer liquid and cream metallic/shimmer shadows to powder but I can’t wear warm tones and so many new launches have no cool toned shades or even options with a true neutral undertone. How hard is it to add a light taupe, pale lilac, or icy greige to a line that includes 15 variations of champagne, gold and bronze. If there is a cool toned shade, it’s almost always silver or a glittery black, which works for a night out but can be difficult for some to feel comfortable in during the day. This line has 2 purples but they’re very red based and the rest are some form of gold or bronze.
Ok, rant over.
Thanks for addressing this, Cara. I have let my hair go natural so it is white at temples, soft pewter on top and dark in back. With fair skin and grey/green eyes, I need exactly the neutral and cooler tones your are referring to also!!! The red based and bronze tones no longer are options for me but I still want to be pretty and use beautiful makeup. When I get palettes, I can only use a few shadows so they are no longer a value for me.
Second that.
When I was at Sephora to buy the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz Palette, the one SA was literally trying very hard to sell me Shocking and All Night…to use as bases for the palette. I’m guessing it’s because she already knew that Cosmic Love is a glitter bomb, LOL! But, I didn’t cave. Figured you would be getting them to review them, and so I can chill for now. I do hope that these work far, far better on the lids than the arm swatches forbode.
So many super similar colors!
Wow – these look pretty lovely to me – although I do think that the pinky shades are fairly similar to one another – especially when on the eye.
I do see Cara’s point above – when you are making so many liquid eyeliners, why not add some cool tones – soft greys, cool taupes etc. These are all really warm tones.
Looking forward to this review too!
They are all very warm colors as mentioned by Cara and the swatches are underwhelming so I’m not holding my breath that they will be something that I’m going o be searching out.
Vibrant, Connect and possibly Striking all look like shades I could use. I hope they’re good’uns.
I love Armani’s liquid eyeshadows. I’m always hoping for similar good ones.
Ok *some* of these look promising. I look forward to your reviews.
Ummmm….yeah……. Dommage!
