Sephora BI + VIB Reward Cards Out (2013) - $15 off $50 or $20 off $50
SEPHORA has sent out reward cards! I didn’t receive mine in the mail, but I did just receive mine via e-mail–so keep your eyes out for yours! VIBs and VIB Rouges should receive $20 off $50 reward cards, and BIs should receive $15 off $50 reward cards. If you’re still looking for some holiday picks, here are some of mine (that are still available!)…
- Buxom Serial Kisser Set ($32) — review here
- Formula X for Sephora The Twenty Two ($55) — reviewed Formula X here
- philosophy The Gingerbread House Set ($42)
- OCC Lip Tar All-Star Mini x 12 Set ($58)
- Givenchy Le Rouge ($36) — reviews here
- Marc Jacobs Showstopper ($30) — review here
- Or maybe you’ll want to hold out for Urban Decay Naked3 ($52), which has an official launch date of 12/6** online at Sephora and 12/12 in-stores. UD just moved up the launch date!
Are these for Canadians as well?
You’d have to check with Sephora! Here’s the fine print from the email I received as a Sephora customer:
* Apply your promotional $20 USD reward card to one merchandise transaction over $50 USD, and it applies to entire purchase. VALID FROM 12/4/2013 through 12/16/2013 at 11:59 PST. Must be VIB or VIB Rouge to redeem. Must qualify as VIB or VIB Rouge by October 1, 2013. This is a one-time-use-only reward card valid for one shopping transaction at any Sephora store, sephora.com, or Sephora inside JCPenney only. Offer is not available with online Canadian orders. Offer may not be applied toward previous purchases, shipping, or taxes. Offer may not be applied toward eGift certificates or gift cards or to merchandise orders under $50; attempts to do so will invalidate eGift certificate or gift card purchase amounts at online checkout. Return of discounted merchandise will be for the price actually paid. Not valid for cash or cash equivalent. One complimentary promotional reward card per person; it is not valid for resale and cannot be combined with another promotional reward card or gift card. Sephora is not responsible for lost or stolen reward cards. This reward card must be surrendered at time of purchase in stores. This offer is subject to change, alteration, or termination by Sephora in its sole discretion at any time. Offer is not valid for Sephora, JCPenney, or LVMH employees and cannot be combined with any employee discounts.
I’m Canadian and I just received my reward card in my email today. They didn’t change the value though, which I’m slightly disappointed about since the USD is much higher so technically American VIBs/BIs have a better discount.
Hi! Just wanted to say, I got my email today.
Valid from 12/4/2013 through 12/16/2013 at 11:59pm PST. Must be VIB or VIB Rouge to redeem. Must qualify as VIB or VIB Rouge by October 1, 2013. This is a one-time-use-only reward card/promotion code valid for one shopping transaction at any Sephora store or sephora.ca. Offer may not be applied toward previous purchases, shipping, or taxes. Offer may not be applied toward merchandise orders under C$50; attempts to do so will invalidate the promotion code purchase amounts at online checkout. Return of discounted merchandise will be for the price actually paid. Not valid for cash or cash equivalent. One complimentary promotional reward card or promotion code per person; it is not valid for resale and cannot be combined with another promotional reward card or gift card. Sephora is not responsible for lost or stolen reward cards. This reward card must be surrendered at time of purchase in stores. This offer is subject to change, alteration, or termination by Sephora in its sole discretion at any time. Offer is not valid for Sephora or LVMH employees and cannot be combined with any employee discounts.
So it looks like we can use it as long as we make sure we are using sephora.ca! 🙂
Hi! Nope Americans don’t get a better deal with this than us Canadians! Its 20/50 for both 🙂 so don’t fret!
They kind of DO get a better deal. Sephora’s Canadian prices are nearly 30% higher than their US ones (just look on both websites). So $50 of products goes way further in the US
I’m a VIB (VIB rouge if I spend $50) and I haven’t received this by email yet. Any idea what could be the hold up?
Unfortunately, I don’t have any info on how they send their emails! Your best bet is to contact Sephora with any questions!
After reading this, I called Sephora, and they gave me my gift card info over the phone. About an hour later I got the email. It looks like they might not be done sending them out to everyone yet.
Same thing happened to me, it popped up in my inbox shortly after I called. The woman over the phone said they are sending them in phases.
Message them via facebook. I didn’t get mine and that was fixed in all of 10 minutes for me by someone there.
I was wondering if used online if its seen as a coupon or gift card? Meaning would I have to purchase 50 or 70 for free shipping?
It is a gift card.
Finally the starting to do codes for Canada! 😉 I got the email with a code for VIB.
Funnily enough I watched a news story on e-shopping in Canada they they had clip from the postal hub in toronto showing a conveyor belt full if Sephora boxes. lol
Yay! 🙂
Just an FYI – Ebates is offering 8% off Sephora purchases, I’m not sure if the 8% is calculated before or after the $20 discount, but either way, you’re going to get a bit more shaved off the price.
I downloaded an Ebates extension to my Chrome browser, and if you pull up a web site where you can use Ebates, it alerts you and makes it “one click” to sign in without ever leaving the store’s web site.
since its a giftcard it will be before.
I’ve never used ebates, can someone explain how it works?
You sign-up, click on Ebates’ link to say Sephora, and then Ebates tracks your purchase – so if you buy $50 at Sephora, and Ebates is giving 10% cash back, you’ll get $5 cash from Ebates. They pay quarterly 🙂
For some reason, these sales NEVER fall when I’m running low on staples like mascara or foundation! I’ll be grabbing a Korres mascara as a Christmas present for my mom (she tried and loved mine but she thinks it’s a splurge, so it’s the perfect “think she wants but won’t buy for herself” present), and then… I’ll wander around Sephora and think about it. Tarte Exposed? Naked finishing powder? A mattefying primer? So many choices on the “I’ve thought about buying it but haven’t been able to justify it” list.
i just got my code yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
but dear , am thinking let me use a 10 % off ( the VIB starter kit offer which will end soon ) for hourglass dim and a nars sharpener …
and save this 20 off for UD 3 .. what you say ?
i order after your reply
do you have any other recco for me ?
Since UD N3 is $52, then the $20 off $50 is pretty good since it’s pretty much maximizing the discount. Anything that is higher than $52 then 10% would be better. (since 10% is only $5 off of $50)
yeahhh i got what you said ,
and now while browsing all the post ( which am doing since yest after this news)
i want radiant and dim both 🙂 hahaah
so confused , i want good base makeup and want to build my base collection good
next yr start collecting good skincare D:
i dont need eyeshadow palette so urgently
use this 20 and 10 % off .. which is more or less like 30 % off on $ 100
sounds great na 😀
i am so sorry for this but you need to approve it
Honestly, maybe just started with one and see how you like it – they tend to look more alike on the skin than not, and they’re huge so one will last you awhile! 🙂
You “should” be able use the 10% and the $20 off together. The 10% is a code and the other is a gift card. Both should be able to be used on the same order.
Where do you get the 10% off from?
Since this is a gift card, you can use the 10% too on a single purchase!
Thanks for the info about Naked3!! I’ve been stalking Sephora online, and will definitely be saving my VIB $20 to try to score the palette on the 9th!
Just FYI, UD *just* announced they moved up the online date for retailers Sephora.com, Beauty.com, and Ulta.com to 12/6!
I’m sure this has been covered but
Sephora what is the point of being
a VIB Rouge if it is pretty much
the same as a VIB, same deals etc.
Hmmm
I agree, I was thinking the same thing. Haven’t gotten anything extra really…maybe there is more to come??
I was thinking the same thing! Was hoping to see a $25-30 gift card for VIB rouge. You need to spend 3X the amount vs VIB status but so far there has been ZERO benefit!
I am thinking the same as you. The discount and the gift card amount is exactly like VIB, there are no different being a VIB and VIB Rouge.
FYI, from Urban Decay Cosmetics facebook:
UDers, we hear you loud and clear. So to hook you up, we’ve worked hard with our retail partner’s Beauty.com, Sephora.com and Ulta.com to move up the online launch of Naked3 to 12/6 instead of 12/9. Enjoy getting Naked!
Hi! Didn’t get my email yet 🙁 But wanted to tell you, UD just posted this on their fb page: “UDers, we hear you loud and clear. So to hook you up, we’ve worked hard with our retail partner’s Beauty.com, Sephora.com and Ulta.com to move up the online launch of Naked3 to 12/6 instead of 12/9. Enjoy getting Naked!”
Thanks, Lamzy! I saw it while I was out and just got home to edit everything! 🙂
UD actually announced that the palette will be released online on 12/6 for Sephora.com, Ulta.com, and beauty.com
Yes, thank you!
That makes about the 5th or 6th release date I’ve heard so far.
yep same here, I emailed Sephora twice
with no response…annoying. They should
have clear dates marked on their websites
and stop jerking everyone around. I need two
UD N3 for Xmas shopping so hopefully they don’t
sell out immediately.
I’m planning to use mine toward UD Naked 3, which I was planning on buying directly from the UD site, at full retail, but I’m not on board with the “hype” games they’re playing… I have a feeling many others are thinking the same, and someone at UD has caused UD to lose quite a bit in profits…
If for some reason I can’t get Naked 3, then I might pick up NARS Charade & Tokyo eyeshadow duos.
Urban Decay announced on their Facebook page this morning that they are moving up the release date of the Naked3 to their authorized retailers from 12/9 to 12/6! Just a couple of more days and the Naked3 is available on the Sephora website!
I think I am going to hold out for Naked3… I hope they don’t sell out in a matter of minutes online though!
I’m a VIB Rouge (it’s almost embarrassing to admit!) and I still haven’t received mine. Drats! Also, what’s the point of gaining “Rouge” status if they never give us anything special? 🙁
I put a bunch of things I want in my “loves” last night just in case, so I can hopefully get some of them. I have no money until the 13th, so I’m really “nervous” everything will be sold out by then. Lol.
I got an email from them that they mailed mine. Now if only I knew when the Naked 3 was actually going to be available, that would be sweet!
If you are a VIB- Rogue, there is a code that you can use to get a Rouge Mirror compact. I believe that you have to use it in conjunction with the VIB Rewards card (check the site for complete details- not sure if I can post it here!)
Is there a code for online use? I’m a VIB but I haven’t received anything by email, and somehow Sephora always seems to send my mail to a random address I used once to send a gift. I called them after the VIB 20% off card was sent there again but the person on the phone had no clue why it keeps happening.
The emails I receive also always show my points balance as 0 although I’m approaching 500 right now, and I don’t think they’re VIB specific.
My Sephora account is such a mess!
It’s a unique code, as it is a gift card 🙂 The $ amount will depend on whether you’re a BI or VIB/VIB Rouge.
Then I’m afraid I won’t receive it on time, since my mother-in-law always has to forward their mail offers to me :/
They sent out emails, as well, so you should contact them to see if they can send you an email. I did not receive one through the mail.
Right on time! I’m running low on my Clinique Dark Spot Corrector and foundation.
I got mine today. What they don’t tell you is that if you use it online you don’t have to do the $50 minimum purchase. I got one of the Formula X polishes for $12.50 and the remaining $2.50 even went towards the shipping; I paid $5 out of pocket. Last time I got something under $10 and didn’t even have to pay anything extra
I am waiting for Naked 3, because I was able to convince myself against buying Vice 2. Phew.
Well crap.. sneaky buggers.. I can’t believe I still have a wishlist after VIB sale, but I do and this is just about the right impetus to get me buying more.
Only time I wish guerlain rouge G was just a little more expensive. Fifty cents off means I’ll have to add something else into my bag…oh well, I’m sure I’ll find something I want 😉
I’m looking for someone who’s not going to use their gift card and would give it to me, pleeeease 😀 I’m from Brazil and Sephora here is extremely expensive. And even buying from Sephora US I have to pay for a redirector, so discounts are really needed! Besides, I want Naked 3 sooo much! 😛
I totally used my 20 dollar coupon on the Too Faced A Few of My Favorite Things palette, can’t wait to use it! Love your reviews! 🙂
