Revlon Super Lustrous The Luscious Mattes Coming Soon!

Release Date + About the Launch
Why subject yourself to draggy, drying, heavy matte lipstick when you can have NEW Revlon Super Lustrous The Luscious Mattes? Revlon rewrote the rules of matte, delivering the most comfortable, true velvet matte lipstick with a virtually undetectable feel on lips. The creamy formula is infused with a botanical complex featuring Agave, Moringa Oil and Cupuacu Butter that softens without dragging while it saturates lips with intense matte color.
In a modern take on matte, NEW Revlon Super Lustrous The Luscious Mattes are distinguished by their sleek matte black packaging. The precise bullet shape ensures easy application and is embossed with an elegant Revlon logo. The range of 24 classic and trend-forward shades allows you to create a dramatic matte lip look without compromise.

Interesting! Will you be reviewing these?
I bought 2 of these (Black Cherry & Show Off), back in October, and they aren’t that great… For one thing, they aren’t exactly “matte”, more of a demi-matte, or even satin. Second, they sink into lip lines I didn’t even no I had, and can become a bit patchy. Third, while they are actually quite comfortable, the color tends to slide around/migrate. Granted, a lip liner will help mitigate the 2 latter issues, and to an extent the first, but I personally just expected more from Revlon… I still don’t get why brands keep introducing completely new subpar formulas, yet DC the amazing ones. Back in the mid-90s, they introduced the ColorStay lipstick, which was amazing; incredibly comfortable, matte, and didn’t move at all, and lasted an entire 8+-hour waitressing shift…
Some fun colors and daily colors that I can see myself wearing. Curious how these will feel and look on lips – if the description is true these sound lovely.
I am *VERY* intrigued. Some interesting colors too, even for strange folk like me: black, purple (or purple-ish blue … can’t really tell), gray. I’m also very pleased to see a matte version of Cherries In The Snow; I might finally buy that color.
“a modern take on matte” So, slightly matte?
It’s unfortunate so many are going go be online only- especially classics like Fire & Ice and Cherries in Snow. I don’t gravitate to matte formulas and I love their original Super Lustrous formula but I await your swatches.
These sounds right up my alley, but most of the shades I want are online-only, which makes it a lot less likely I’ll actually get around to picking them up, unfortunately.
My lipstick no buy is going to be challenged.
These DO sound rather interesting! I love how there’s various natural oils and butters in the formula to help with hydration. Cannot wait to see some swatches and see how well they actually perform while worn!
Ahhh, wouldn’t it be wonderful if Revlon could rise back up? The stain of the Gucci Westman years may finally be fading! They were the brand that first really captivated me, particularly the StreetWear collection. Such a great history, a truly American brand. It would be great to be able to be excited about them again.
Oh, I SO miss the StreetWear collection!!!
Matte Fire and Ice and Cherries in the Snow!!?? Aaaaaaah!!!! Must have!!!
These look promising and its good to see the brand producing some quality lipsticks.
Astonished that you guys know so much about midcentury l/s. To add to your vast knowledge: Cherries was the Original signature color for both Sylvia Plath, Dita von Teese, and the prototype for Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Backstories are a blast. My mum had both Cherries and Fire, preferring the latter. We’re she alive, she’d be 109. Classic and his-stor-y.
O! These are coming in December? Can’t wait – we might actually get these here in Asia.
I always forget that despite their unassuming packaging and low price – Revlon makes some amazing lip products. I love the formula of Revlon’s lipstick so much, it reminds me of Estee Lauder. Cherries in the Snow has been a staple in my lippy arsenal since the 80s.
I saw a display of these about 3 weeks ago, and bought the color Shameless. It has become a HG! The formula feels high end, and the packaging is really nice too. I can’t wait to try more colors!
I found these in my local Walgreens. I didn’t buy any but I did buy one of their new cream shades in Dramatic. It’s a shade I’ve been searching for for months – a beautiful, vibrant orchid.
I bought Desert Escape in this formula. It is a winner too!
I hope the original line of super lustrous lipsticks isn’t getting discontinued…is it?
