Rescue Beauty Lounge Medium White Nail Lacquer
Rescue Beauty Lounge Medium White Nail Lacquer
Rescue Beauty Lounge Medium White Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is a creamy white with a hint of yellowy beige billowing through the shade. It’s streaky and semi-sheer after three coats. My issue with this polish was how streaky it was. It applied unevenly and looked like a big streaky mess even after three coats. You have to let each coat dry completely, because the next count will pull and create bald spots and patches.
The concept of this color is nice, but the actual application was far too frustrating. The photos in this post are of my third attempt to apply this color. Third time wasn’t the charm, but three strikes and you’re out for me. I know that some of you have far more patience than I do and will be willing to work for the color, but I can’t recommend an $18 polish with this many problems.
I had the best results with one really thick coat (as thick as you can get it), but the drying time becomes exceptionally long with that technique, so don’t attempt it right before bed!

Wow… lovely!
How disappointing… I’ve always heard good things about RBL’s formula. Guess you can win them all! Whites can be tricky though, even if this looks more like a nude to me.
Wow that is so disappointing, and I’m surprised because this is a brand you usually give at least an A. I just ordered three polishes from RBL, I hope they don’t disappoint.
Which three did you get? Maybe some of us ReBeLs can reassure you. 🙂
I got Black Russian, Decorous, and Chinoise.
You will love them!!!!
Wow, kinda surprising for RBL. They’re usually better than this.
christine, r u back from new york yet with the posh paradise goodies?
I just got here, Amy – sorry!
Guess they can’t all be perfect. This will not be coming home with me. I’m happy with my Essies: Marshmallow and Mademoiselle. Thanks anyway!
Wow, I never wear polish but this is a shade that I’d actually wear.
Too bad the texture looks hideous. I never paint my nails so I’m not going to change that for an eighteen dollar polish that requires three coats and is still mediocre.
Sally Hansen nail polish in Sheer Vanilla is the exact same color / sheerness and it’s only like $2.50. It probably doesn’t last as long, but the formula isn’t terrible.
This doesn’t sound impressive for the price tag, but it is pretty for nude-nails.
Bleh, lovely colour but streaky… Shame.
I’m sad the formula is so difficult to work with; that looks like a great sheer-nude color!
Ji says on the Rescue beauty site the trick with this polish is to fan out the the brush, and do one big stroke. Then it shouldnt be streaky. you can view the technique on the Rescue beauty site under the tutorials.
I tried that, but it did not work for me, sorry!
Well that stinks. I wanted to pick up this color, but if that technique didn’t work I guess I won’t! Btw I love your blog, and the quality of your pics!
I too have yellow undertones in my skin as well, so I love to how colors look on you!
The color looks really nice, but the application sounds horrible.
Streaky. Eek.
With that price tag, I’m definitely going to pass on this one.
Wow, that is one ugly polish.
wow very boring and bland nail polish. Looks easily dupe-able as well i would find a color close to it that is way cheaper. Definitely not worth $18.
