What would count as a “liquid concealer”? I honestly don’t know. Would MAC Pro Longwear be considered “liquid”? I need some examples to be able to answer in a meaningful way.
LOVE: these are my favorite type of concealers! They blend out seamlessly, they are less likely to crease in my undereye area or pool in my pores than cream concealers. They are also far more “natural” in appearance, as they remain more skin-like. And they LAST wherever I apply it for far longer than other types!
HATE: they can get gloppy around the neck of the tube pretty quickly! And I sometimes end up accidentally getting some in my hair while applying it. But nothing major enough to make me switch to a different type of concealer!
Not much to hate in my book unless the formula is too thin.
I only have love for liquid concealers, with Tarte Shape Tape being my favorite. Liquids are easier to blend and less likely to get cakey.
Only rave; I don’t need full coverage so liquids work well for my needs.
I will never go back to liquid concealers. The one time I wore a dark blue smoky eye it faded terribly and I looked like I had two black eyes. (PS I have very dark circles to begin with)
Rant: For me, it’s extremely hard to find a shade and undertone match. They usually oxidize on me. They don’t like to stick to my oily skin, even over my foundation and powder. E.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer — Oil Free in Porcelain and Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in Barvarian Cream are the only ones that work for me, regardless of price point.
Rave: They’re easy to use when I do find something that works on the other points. I prefer them to cream pot concealers by far. They set better and are easier to blend out.
Rave: Can be easily matched to skintone
Rant: Too sheer, messy to apply.
I love that it’s easy to blend, but I hate that it just can’t cover as well as thick concealers in a pot. For me, it’s worth the extra two seconds it takes to blend the thicker ones. I only use liquid for under my eyes,
I used to HATE liquid concealer, and now it’s almost all I used (besides using a pot concealer to spot conealer). I always use it under my eyes and to highlight my skin! I love Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and Tarte Shape Tape!
Hmmm? Haven’t tried a liquid one yet hardly need them for acne but when I do use them rarely under my eyes (allergies, headache days, lack of sleep usually my fault) I like the creamy stick so easy to blend I warm it up on my finger and ready to go, also love the WetnWild Dulce de Leche exact match on this ghost. The WetnWikd sticks are also awesome! ??
Rant: They do not work in pimples. They only sometimes work on small red spots and spider veins around my nose. Cream in a pot is better for these uses but needs setting powder.
Rave: No setting powder needed and it is the only thing for under eyes.
I can’t really hate on liquid concealer at all, it’s really all I use. I haven’t found that I like creams much, except for maximal coverage of something very small, like a pimple. I am not at all a fan of super duper coverage. I prefer to brighten with concealer rather than totally cover! I also have oily skin, and weird dry textured skin on my chin, and I am not a big fan of creams as they fall apart on my skin.
